When you walk through the town of Yufuin in Oita Prefecture,
you can hear the sound of horse hooves coming from somewhere.

The horse-drawn tourist carriage ride started over 50 years ago and is now a famous tourist attraction in Yufuin.

It starts in front of JR Yufuin Station,
and goes through Butsusan-ji Temple, Unagihime Shrine,
and returns to the station,
taking about 60 minutes.

The time spent rocked by the horses while being blown by the gentle breeze is an extraordinary time.

You can make a reservation at TIC (Yufu City Tourist Information)! The service runs from March 2nd to December, but is closed during the winter.
