Summer vacations are all about avoiding crowds! My bestie and I carefully picked this underrated island—【Jishan Island】 in Yuhuan, Taizhou. Recently developed, it offers stunning views with few tourists, perfect for a laid-back getaway or family fun.

🚗 Transportation Guide

Drive 1.5 hours from Wenzhou directly to 【Zhantai Pier】, where there’s a ground parking lot (💰40/day). Ferries depart every 15 minutes (on the hour), with tickets at 💰12/person—super quick ride!

🗺️ Trip Highlights

▪ Arrived at the pier at 12 but missed the ferry? No worries! Head straight to the pier’s 【A Hint of Blue】 café for AC and Instagram-worthy photos📸 (Coffee’s meh, but their stir-fried rice cakes/noodles are a must—perfect for lunch!)

▪ Boarded the island at 14:00 and was instantly amazed! The colorful houses look like a spilled paint palette🎨, radiating island vibes.

▪ Checked into the newly opened 【Original Stay Seaview Homestay】 (inside the cultural tourism resort)—shuttle service right to the door! Kids’ play area, café, library, and restaurant all included, a dream for parents👶🏻.

▪ The sea-view window in the room is breathtaking! Taizhou’s ocean is gemstone-blue💎, and the space is so spacious you can sprawl your luggage everywhere. They even prepared an adorable kids’ toiletry kit (adult toothbrushes are stylish too!). The bookshelf is stocked with new reads—no chance of boredom!

▪ At 17:00, walked just 5 minutes to the beach for sunset chasing🌅! Empty and photogenic, with a 100% success rate for stunning shots!

💡 Verdict: This is how a girls’ trip should be—chill, scenic, and well-equipped. Definitely bringing the kids back for round two!
