Just got back from Lijiang, not sure if I should say this...

Lijiang is beautiful, but there are also many tourist traps...I've summarized some points for you to check out 👀

✈️ Travel: We chose to fly directly from Changsha to Lijiang (just two hours to arrive). You can also choose to transfer in Kunming, which would be more economical.

⚠️ Things to avoid!!
1. Many fruit vendors in the Old Town - most I bought from were disappointing. The monstera fruit, sugar apple, and dragon fruit weren't tasty
2. Whether it's souvenirs, clothes, or jewelry, you really need to compare prices at multiple shops + bargain. Each store really varies quite a bit 😅
3. You absolutely must bring comfortable shoes - the roads in the Old Town are really difficult to walk on, and you need to be careful not to slip
4. There's really no need to join a tour group, and you might get pressured into buying things. I think strolling around leisurely on your own is much more comfortable.
