Last Mid-Autumn Festival, I visited Yunhe and have been longing to return ever since. I promised myself to come back during summer vacation. I thought it would be very hot, but unexpectedly, this place has its own air conditioning❗ The 25°C mountain breeze is so refreshing that you won’t want to leave.

The humidity in the mountains after rain is high, and when it clears the next day, it instantly turns into a sea of clouds theater~
Sunrise is earlier than in spring and autumn! Be ready by 5:00 AM in August, set your alarm and don’t oversleep!

📷 Day 1⃣: Take the cable car up to Jiuqu Yunhuan Station - Kenggen Shizhai - Baiyin Valley Qixing Dun - then descend and check in at [Straw Meets Building Block Hotel]

📅 Day 1:
✔ Take the cable car up the mountain, first to Jiuqu Yunhuan, then transfer to the scenic shuttle to Kenggen Shizhai. Wear sneakers to step into the creek water, super refreshing!
✔ Secure a spot on the second floor of Yun Duan Meika café for the best view! Order an iced Americano and overlook the terraces, the clouds look like you can reach out and touch them~
✔ In the afternoon, swing on the cloud swing at Yun Duan. Wearing a white dress for photos adds a fairy-tale filter effect. The shade by the swing is perfect for photos without backlight!
🌅 Day 2:
✔ Wake up promptly at 4:30 AM! Drive 30 minutes to Jiuqu Yunhuan viewing platform
✔ Key tip! Choose the wooden plank path on the right side for shots that capture the layers of the sea of clouds flowing over the terraces~
✔ Don’t rush to leave after the sunrise! The farming trail hides surprises. Walk into the ridges for a close-up view of the clouds rolling and unfolding. Sunlight filtering through the clouds onto the rice waves is breathtaking!

✔ Jiuqu Yunhuan: The terraces are green in summer! The sea of clouds flowing over the layered rice waves looks like matcha mille crepe. When the golden sunrise shines down, quickly snap your photos~
✔ Wujian Waterfall: Bring a pair of cool sandals to step into the water! The mountain creek is crystal clear. Kids can play and catch little fish, adults can relax sitting on the rocks, super stress-relieving~
✔ Qixing Dun: Taking the cable car to Qixing Dun is dreamy. You have to cross the mountain to get there. Remember to try the cloud swing and have a cup of cloud coffee
✔ Straw Meets: The hotel is so cute! The decor and play facilities are perfect for families with kids. The hotel’s food is also very rich, and the location is great—right outside is the scenic area visitor center, and the cable car up the mountain is convenient

💡 Summer Travel Tips:
① Bring mosquito repellent! The mountain has lots of plants, wear long pants to prevent insect bites
② Protect yourself from the sun! Although it’s cool, UV rays are strong. Use physical sun protection plus sunscreen for double insurance
③ Bring a light jacket, as there is a big temperature difference between morning and evening. It’s just right to wear when watching the sunrise
