Kenggen Stone Village is located in Chongtou Town, Yunhe County, Lishui City, Zhejiang Province. Silver mines were discovered during the Ming Dynasty, prompting miners to build a stone village alongside a river valley and mountain stream.
The houses are constructed of wood, stone, and cement, with small green tiles on the roofs. The terrain here is rugged, and residents have adapted the terrain to build individual houses. The village's stone houses are scattered throughout the hillside, creating a unique and tranquil ancient village reminiscent of a paradise.
Take bus Line 2 from Yunhe Terraces Jiuqu Yunhuan Station to Baiyin Valley. The moment you step into the valley, the stone village comes into view, giving you the feeling of stumbling into a hidden paradise. Walking up the winding stone steps into the village, you feel like stepping back into a previous dynasty. The yellow stone walls, gray-black tiles, and mottled wooden doors are truly beautiful, a testament to the passage of time! Stroll through the stone fort, where nature's ravines, streams, and waterfalls cascade in a cascading, staggered pattern. From Yinguan Bridge, gaze at the fort, crouch beside the bluestone slabs and watch the waterfalls splash. This unique mining village is perfect for a stroll, savoring its unique charm. Find a teahouse and quietly enjoy this most pristine of mountain locations—Kenggen Stone Fort!
