Blue Moon Valley in Winter – A Snowy Wonderland in Yunnan

Blue Moon Valley lies at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (Yulong Xueshan), near Lijiang, Yunnan. During winter (typically November to March), the area transforms into a magical landscape of snow and turquoise water.

Snow-Covered Peaks: The surrounding mountains are blanketed in thick snow from November to March. The Glacier Park above the valley often sees heavy snowfall, especially from December to February.

Emerald Waters in Cold Air: Despite the cold, the lakes and streams in the valley remain a striking turquoise blue on sunny days. Sometimes, the water may appear milky if it has recently rained or snow has melted.

Fairy-Tale Atmosphere: Snow on the mountain peaks reflects in the calm waters, creating a dreamlike scene perfect for photography or peaceful walks.
