Wulingyuan Tianzi Mountain Travel Guide

Hey! As someone who just had a terrible experience at Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan Tianzi Mountain, I have to share this heartbreaking guide with you all 😭 Compared to the joy in Guilin, the experience in Zhangjiajie was really disappointing!

🚗 Transportation Pitfalls:
Departed from Zhangjiajie city at 6:50 to Tianzi Mountain, thought it would be easy, but...
1️⃣ Changsha West Bus Station big pit: Staff told me to buy a ticket to Zhangjiajie city, but it turned out Wulingyuan is the actual scenic area entrance! The correct way is to buy a "Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan" bus ticket directly 📍 Wulingyuan Scenic Area is on the necessary route from the city to the scenic spot.
2️⃣ Illegal soliciting: As soon as I arrived in Hunan, I encountered unlicensed taxi drivers, so annoying 🖤
3️⃣ Return trip even harder: The scenic area service is terrible, drivers are rude, and finding a ride is very difficult.

🎫 Ticketing Frustrations:
1️⃣ Discounts denied: Police ID expired, no discount given 💔
2️⃣ Double charges: Bought a full ticket but still had to pay extra for the cable car (68 RMB/person), hiking is basically impossible!
3️⃣ Extra charge going down: The eco-friendly bus only goes halfway up the mountain, you must pay again to take the cloud ladder elevator down (38 RMB/person).

⚠️ Danger Warning:
The "One Step to Heaven" trail is extremely exhausting❗️
- Distance: Over 3 hours round trip
- Road conditions: Very poor
- Danger: Multiple safety hazards

🏨 Accommodation Suggestions:
Don’t stay in the city like I did! Choose hotels near Wulingyuan for more convenience, recommended:
1️⃣ Zhangjiajie Nabali Crowne Plaza Hotel
📍 Address: Jundiping Street, Wulingyuan District
2️⃣ Zhangjiajie Hetianju Resort Hotel
📍 Address: Suoxiyu Town, Wulingyuan District

💡 Heartbreaking Summary:
1️⃣ Doing research in advance is crucial
2️⃣ Make sure to buy the right transportation tickets
3️⃣ Bring enough cash for extra fees
4️⃣ Carry valid ID (don’t be as unlucky as me)
