Tianmen Mountain: More Beautiful Than Expected

One of the must-visit attractions in Zhangjiajie is Tianmen Mountain. Initially, I thought it wouldn't be a place to enjoy stunning mountain views, but once I got there, it turned out to be more beautiful than I had imagined. There are three routes to get to the mountain. Route A is the most convenient but fills up the fastest and is the most crowded. Route B is the second most popular and offers similar convenience. If I were to recommend, I would suggest Route A.

To visit the mountain, you need to take a cable car. On busy days, you might have to wait in line for several hours. It's best to visit on weekdays and start your journey early in the morning. The advantage of visiting this place is its convenience and easy accessibility. The cable car station is located right in the city center, so there's no need to travel far. In my next post, I'll recommend hotels suitable for visiting this attraction, as they are located right next to the cable car station.

The cable car fare is quite expensive, and once you reach the top, you'll need to walk a considerable distance. Visiting this place requires a full day. There aren't many restaurants at the top. While the queue to go up is long, the queue to come down is even longer. On the day I visited, I had to wait about two hours to descend. A tip: try to leave the mountain before 3 PM to avoid excessively long queues.
