"Exploring the Secret of Bao Gong Well: A Historical Journey to Mi Cang Lane in Zhaoqing"

#MarchGoodPlaces2025

I came to visit Bao Gong Well in Micang Lane, Zhaoqing! 🏞️

The story of Bao Gongjing is really fascinating. In the Song Dynasty, the famous official Bao Zheng led everyone to build granaries and dig seven wells in order to improve people's lives. Today, these wells are called Bao Gong Wells, and one of them is near Mi Cang Lane.

Micang Lane was originally Guangchu Warehouse, and later it was renamed Guangji Warehouse, and then changed to Fengji Warehouse. In memory of Bao Gong, the people of Duanzhou named this alley Micang Lane, and the name has been used to this day. After the founding of New China, Chaohui Grain Station was opened near Micang Lane to facilitate the purchase of grain and oil by surrounding residents. 🌾

The Bao Gong Well here is next to the Guangji Warehouse, and the water is clean and pleasant. Imagining the scene of Bao Gong personally leading the people to dig a well, one cannot help but feel deeply moved by his care and contribution to the people. 🚰

After visiting Bao Gong Well in Mi Cang Lane, I deeply felt the weight of history and the greatness of Bao Gong. I hope these stories can continue so that more people can learn about this touching past. ✨
