A Millennium-Old Watchtower:
- Built in 1118 AD (Northern Song Dynasty) as part of Zhaoqing’s defensive city walls.
- Originally named “Piyun” (披云 "Cloaked in Clouds") due to its height and misty surroundings.
- Reconstructed in Ming (1380) and Qing (1686) dynasties, retaining traditional architecture.
📍 Location: On the city wall of Duanzhou District, Zhaoqing, Guangdong Province
🕒 Opening Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
🚇 Transport:
- From Guangzhou: High-speed train to Zhaoqing East Station (1hr), then taxi (15min)
