Day 1: Dongying to Shijiazhuang

Morning

Depart from Dongying for an approx. 460 km (5 hr) drive to Shijiazhuang.
Visit Zhaozhou Bridge Scenic Area. Admission is free and no booking is required.
Lunch

Try local specialties near Zhaozhou Bridge, such as donkey burgers.
Afternoon

Go to Zhengding Ancient City. We recommend renting a shared bike to get around.
Tour route: South Gate - Guanghui Temple - Linji Temple - Yanghe Tower Ruins - Kaiyuan Temple - Tianning Temple - Zhengding Museum - Longxing Temple - Zhao Yun Temple - Rongguo Mansion.
We recommend purchasing a joint ticket for the four temples to save CNY 20.
Evening

Explore Zhengding Small Commodities Night Market. You can take panoramic photos from the fourth floor parking lot.
Day 2: Shijiazhuang - Cangyan Mountain - Shijiazhuang

Morning

Visit the Hebei Museum. Remember to book in advance. We recommend allowing 3–4 hrs for your visit.
Afternoon

Go to Cangyan Mountain, which is a 1.5 hr drive away, including mountain roads.
Park at the visitor center and take the free shuttle bus.
Tour the ancient buildings. This is a family-friendly attraction that takes approx. 3 hrs to see.
Day 3: Shijiazhuang - Ran Village Tunnel Warfare Memorial Hall - Return Trip

Morning

Go to Ran Village Tunnel Warfare Memorial Hall, which is about a 2 hr drive away.
Note that it is closed on Mondays. Admission is free, but please pay attention to the opening hours.
Afternoon

Return to Hekou District, Dongying. The drive is approx. 370 km and takes about 4 hrs.
