Half an hour from Nanjing, a guide to a day trip to Zhenjiang

Suggested itinerary:
🚉 Zhenjiang Railway Station → 🏯 Jinshan Temple → 🏞️ Xijin Ferry → 🏛️ Zhenjiang Museum → Yong'an Road Market → 🐟 Yong'an Fish Restaurant → 🚉 Return to Zhenjiang Railway Station
We arrived at Zhenjiang Railway Station at around 10 am. As we wanted to burn incense and worship Buddha in the morning, we took a taxi to Jinshan Temple right after getting off the high-speed train. It is very close to Zhenjiang Railway Station, about 20 min away.

📍 Jinshan Temple:
💰 Off-season ticket price: CNY 50
The temple is famous for the story of "The Legend of the White Snake" and is also the filming location of the TV series "New Legend of Madame White Snake" 🎬. The scenic area has also thoughtfully created a photo spot for visitors to take photos 📷.
Perhaps because this year is the Year of the Snake 🐍, there were many visitors and the incense was very popular. There is a free incense area in the scenic area, don't forget to get some.
Suggested visit time: about 2 hours.

📍 Xijin Ferry 🏞️:
Xijin Ferry is about 2 km from Jinshan Temple, so we chose to ride a bike 🚴 there, which took about 10 min.
It can be understood as the Zhenjiang version of the Confucius Temple, with a strong commercial atmosphere, but in addition to some common snacks, there are also unique historical sites.
Route: Enter from the north gate of Xijin Ferry Ancient Street, and visit Yuntai Mountain and Yuntai Pavilion first.
Return the same way and go down the mountain to the east: Guanyin Cave - Lifesaving Society - Zhaoguan Stone Pagoda.

Zhenjiang Museum is right outside Xijin Ferry.

📍 Yong'an Road Market 🥗:
A variety of snacks, such as Yangda yogurt (a must-try!), large paper-wrapped siu mai, tenderloin, braised quail, etc., are affordable and taste great! 🤤

📍 Yong'an Fish Restaurant 🐟:
We went there just for the puffer fish, but found that the other dishes were also very good and the portions were generous. You can also take photos 📷 with the puffer fish, which are super cute 🐟.
