A Laid-Back 2-Day Getaway Just 20 Minutes from Nanjing 🚄🌿

#springitinerary

Took advantage of the May Day holiday for a super chill weekend trip — no early wake-ups, no packed schedule, just a spontaneous 2-day getaway. I did some light research beforehand and was pleasantly surprised: these hidden gems really live up to the pictures, and best of all — barely any crowds, even during the holiday!

📍 Stop 1: Nanshan – Lakeside Views, Nature Stay & Coffee with a View
Staying in Nanshan was the best decision ever! The air is fresh, the views are lush, and the crowds? Basically nonexistent. It’s like walking through a forest spa — trees and greenery everywhere. The lake here is stunningly emerald green 🌿💧, and I stumbled across a super artsy café with live folk music and gorgeous mountain views. The owners were lovely (and seriously good-looking too 😄). Imagine sipping coffee, listening to acoustic tunes, and soaking in the lakeside breeze. Pure bliss.

📍 Stop 2: Dashikou – Vintage Alley + Livehouse Vibes 🎤
This old street hides a rare gem: a cozy livehouse where you can actually sing along. The musicians were funny, engaging, and there was one female singer who absolutely slayed — the kind that stuns the whole room silent the moment she sings. Such a vibe!

📍 Stop 3: Jingji Road – Retro Vibes & Miyazaki Aesthetic 📷
This artsy little street in the old part of town felt straight out of a Studio Ghibli film. The photo spot? Right at the fork in the road where you get off — old buildings, quiet charm, and perfect light. There’s a famous crosswalk for those moody walking shots (watch for traffic though!). The street is short but packed with personality: indie cafés, snack shops, quirky boutiques, and charming heritage buildings. If you’re into photography, this place is a goldmine 📸🌆.
