Zhuhai Gongle Garden: A Historical Treasure of Lingnan Gardens

Gongle Garden is located in Tangjiawan Town, Zhuhai City. It was first built in 1910 as the private garden of Tang Shaoyi, a prominent political figure during the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China. The garden covers an area of about 350 acres, nestled between mountains and water, boasting beautiful scenery. It is one of the three major gardens in Zhuhai.

Main Attractions:
• Countryside Villa: Also known as 'Xiao Linglong Mountain Pavilion,' it was Tang Shaoyi's residence, featuring a unique architectural style full of Lingnan garden characteristics.
• Star Observation Pavilion: Tang Shaoyi's private observatory, with a dome ceiling painted with constellations and a rooftop platform equipped with observation facilities for stargazing.
• Solitary Banyan on Rock: A large banyan tree growing on a 2-meter-high stone tower, known as 'Solitary Banyan on Rock,' is a major scenic spot in the garden.
• Rare Plants: The garden is home to many rare plants introduced from overseas, such as Japanese black pine, French mahogany, and Indian rubber fig, earning it the title of 'Centennial Botanical Garden of Lingnan.'

• Opening Hours: Daily from 08:30 to 18:00.
• Ticket Prices: 10 yuan for adults, 5 yuan for students.
• Transportation: You can take the Guangzhou-Zhuhai Intercity Railway to Tangjiawan Station, then take a taxi for about 10 minutes to reach the garden entrance.
