Beijing is still experiencing high temperatures these days.
If the city is unbearable, head to the mountains for summer🌳
Hike Beiling Mountain to enjoy the scenery and cool off
Temperatures here range between 24-27°C🌡️
Perfect for summer outdoor escapes!
🗺️Route suggestions:
🚗Drive from the city to Beiling Mountain in about 2.5 hours.
🧭Navigate to "Jiulongwa" and take the small loop: Jiulongwa - Beiling Mountain Leek Slope - Jiulongwa.
🏔️The route is beginner-friendly, about 10km with 300m elevation gain, taking 4-5 hours in total.
⚠️Hiking tips:
✅Beiling Mountain is cooler than the city—wear long sleeves and pants. Short sleeves are fine at the base, but bring a windproof layer for mid-mountain and the summit🌬️
✅Windbreakers and hiking pants with water-resistant features are recommended, as light rain may occur🌧️
✅Though not very high in elevation, wear sturdy hiking shoes with good traction. Trekking poles are helpful👟
✅No supplies along the way—bring enough water and snacks. A 40L backpack is sufficient🎒
