Zhuozhou Museum is located in the old town of Zhuozhou, very close to the South Tower. It was formerly the Zhuozhou Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall. After years of construction and development, it has now become a national third-class museum, as well as a national defense education base in Hebei Province, a patriotic education base in Baoding City, and a socialist core values education base in Zhuozhou City.
The main museum area has three floors (F2, F1, B1), and the exhibition hall layout and viewing route design are very reasonable and user-friendly. Just like visiting around the tower, you can visit all the way without taking a detour or missing any exhibition hall.
The Stone Art Exhibition Hall displays stone carvings from the museum's collection. This is the exhibition area where I lingered the longest. The number, variety, and beauty of the Liao Dynasty stone pillars on display here amazed me.
There are also three exhibition halls: Fanyang Yifeng, which displays the intangible cultural heritage of Zhuozhou; Zhenrong Years, which displays red classics; and Lang Taifu Art Museum, which displays precious ancient coins donated to the museum by Mr. Lang Taifu.
After arriving at the museum, you can exchange your ID card for a free paper admission ticket, and enter the museum after ticket inspection and security check.
