Today I went to the Thousand Buddha Rock Scenic Area in Jiajiang County, Leshan City, on the high mountain cliff wall on the banks of the Tsing Yi River, Buddha statues have been waiting on the stone wall for thousands of years, they are of different shapes, some are intact, some are dilapidated, like the various forms of life in the world.

Today I will share with you some of my experience of visiting, I hope it can give you some inspiration.

Jiajiang Thousand Buddha Rock Grottoes, located in Qianfo Village, Qingyi Street, Jiajiang County, Leshan City, Sichuan Province, are excavated on the cliff wall along the Qingyi River, distributed narrowly along the southeast to northwest, and are divided into 7 areas.

There are a total of 165 niches, a total of 2,740 statues, and 15 inscriptions. The statue was mainly excavated in the middle and late Tang dynasties. The main themes include Maitreya Buddha, Amitabha Buddha, Thousand-Handed Guanyin, King Vishaman, Vimalakirti Sutra Change, Medicine Buddha Sutra Change, etc.

Dongfeng Weir, the first world irrigation engineering heritage in Sichuan Province. Dongfeng Weir flows through the Thousand Buddha Rock Moyan Scenic Area, a national key cultural relics protection unit, and forms a historical and cultural corridor on the banks of the Tsing Yi River with the Thousand Buddha Rock Scenic Area, and the water control inscriptions and grotto statues coexist.

The combination of Dongfeng Weir and Thousand Buddha Rock has become two important attractions of a scenic spot, which can be regarded as killing two birds with one stone. The ticket is 50 yuan, many people feel that it is too expensive, and I also think.

>The road from Jiajiang city to Qianfoyan Scenic Area is not very spacious, there are many traffic lights, and there are large trucks accompanying it, so you must pay attention to speed and safety when driving. There is an ecological parking lot with about 200 parking spaces at the entrance of the scenic spot, 5 yuan for ordinary cars and 10 yuan a day for buses, which is a very cost-effective scenic parking lot I have seen.

is still a distance of more than 1 kilometer from the scenic visitor center to the toll entrance of the scenic spot, at the beginning is a super long antique corridor, sunny and rainy days are convenient, you can walk along the way, The main thing is to look at the scenery of Dongfeng Weir and the fields, which is actually very beautiful.

At the end of the corridor is the old street, there are towering ancient trees, some restaurants and teahouses, and some shops, which are not very commercial, mainly local specialties, such as the ancient handmade rice paper used by Zhang Daqian to paint the emperor, and the New Year's paintings of Jiajiang, all of which are local characteristics. The old street is a long stone pavement, the architectural style is relatively well preserved, you can stop and walk here, take pictures, look at the items in the store, chat with the old people at the door for 3 cents, ask the east parents and the short life trivialities of the west family, it can also be regarded as going to the countryside and following the customs, the fun of the journey.

Passing through the old street about 500 meters is the stone archway gate of the Thousand Buddha Rock Scenic Area, through which the official journey begins.

>Dongfeng Weir was built in the first year of the Kangxi Dynasty of the Qing Dynasty (1662 AD), the Thousand Buddha Rock began in the Sui Dynasty and the Tang Dynasty, Daguan Mountain and Yifenggang confronted each other, and the Qingyi River meandered through, forming the scenery of "two mountains facing each other, one river flowing in the middle", and on the stone wall facing the river under Daguan Mountain, more than 2,400 stone carvings were arranged. The important thing we want to see on this trip is these stone carvings and the Dongfeng Weir, which still plays an irrigation role in the scenic area.

After walking into the gate of the scenic spot, there is a ticket gate, and then there are stone carvings on both sides of the road, many of which are incomplete, just like our lives. The absence of perfection may be the most meaningful existence.

Due to the long passage of time, the destructive power of nature is also a huge force, so many stones have been covered with moss and grass, after hundreds or thousands of wind and sun and artificial transformation or destruction, these stone carvings of different shapes still show tenacious vitality, they seem to be using their appearance to tell you the power of time and tell you the meaning of culture.

I can't imagine what these stone carvings have seen and experienced in the long river of time, but I just feel that we should cherish our short and limited life time, whether it is shining or lying flat, these worldly conditions we experience will soon disappear, no matter how hard we try, maybe not even a trace of ripples will disappear in the cycle of the sun and moon.

If you are alone, walk slowly, watch quietly, and listen to the song, you will be very quiet, because the mountains and rivers and lush trees here will make you unable to get irritable. If it is a few people, it is also a very meaningful and valuable trip to talk about each other's life, get to know the words on the stone wall, and feel the beauty of the present.

The stone carving in the picture is the most complete one in the entire scenic spot, it is said that there is an interesting story, the master and apprentice are both stone carving craftsmen, in order to compete for who has higher carving skills, and at the same time began the carving work, two years later, the master took the lead in completing the stone carving, which is the one in front of him, the master thought that his work was very good, thinking that he could beat the apprentice, but waited for many years, did not wait for the news of the completion of the apprentice's carving work, so the master thought that he had won steadily. As a result, the apprentice carved the world-famous Leshan Giant Buddha. Of course, this is just a story, to explain what truth or what inspiration to give people, everyone has their own answer, have their own opinion, this is not important, the important thing is that now, these two carvings are completely displayed in front of our eyes, and there is no standard to say which is better who is the winner, they have traveled through thousands of years, showing the craftsmanship and wisdom in front of all tourists, and will continue to do so.

At this point, the visit and tour of the stone carvings are basically over, standing here and looking back at the location of these stone carvings, I have to say, Their advantages in time and place have been able to overcome the baptism of time and nature. As for the part of people and people, we can only say hehe.

The dividing line is the covered bridge of this natural bridge, through here, is the main part of the Dongfeng Weir, which shows the artificial traces of the Dongfeng Canal, and it may be a slogan, but here you can still see some shocking artificial labor results, and the Dongfeng Weir is still an irrigation and water diversion facility for local farmland, playing a huge role.

In the scenic spot, there is a water culture exhibition hall, if you are traveling with your children, you can also take your children here for an outdoor class on water conservancy, which can be regarded as an additional harvest during the trip. Of course, these activities require time, a good mentality, slow explanation and understanding, and continuous accumulation.

Dongfeng Yan-Qianfo Rock Scenic Area The tour ended here, I didn't walk the whole way, and I didn't go to the top of the mountain, because the sky was raining, time was limited, and there was no more and more detailed understanding of this place. According to the recommendation of friends, this scenic spot is a circular route, from the foot of the mountain to see the stone carvings, see the Dongfeng Weir, take a detour up the mountain, look at the mountain, watch the Tsing Yi River rolling eastward, look at the sky, watch the clouds roll and relax, are all the fun of visiting this scenic spot. It takes about 3 hours to go down, and you can experience the fun of climbing, with an altitude difference of about 50 meters, so it will be more valuable to take a whole day to visit here.
