I'd always heard that Ganheba in Lijiang is a breathtakingly beautiful secret hidden deep within the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Finally, on a sunny day, I set foot on this mysterious land.
After a little over an hour's drive from Lijiang Old Town, we arrived at our hike's starting point—Yuhu Village. This place feels like a forgotten corner, tranquil and quaint. Starting at Longnu Lake in Yuhu Village, we followed a winding path. Initially, we encountered idyllic rural scenery, with farmlands lining the roadside, filled with crops. As we walked deeper, we gradually entered a forested area. The air was exceptionally fresh, and every breath was filled with the purity and beauty of nature. Continuing on to the Grand Canyon, the rocks here appear exceptionally gorgeous under the sunlight. The deeper you go along the canyon, the more you feel the mystery and grandeur of nature. In the distance, the main peak of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Fanzidou, looms, the snow-capped peaks and the canyon scenery complement each other, creating a stunning visual feast.
During the hike in Ganheba, we encountered many cute little animals, including cattle and sheep grazing leisurely on the meadow and birds jumping on the branches. Their presence added vitality and vigor to this quiet land. After several hours of hiking, although my body was a little tired, my heart was filled with joy and satisfaction. The beautiful scenery of Ganheba is deeply imprinted in my mind. Every mountain, every river and every meadow here has its own story.
This trip to Ganheba was not only a physical workout, but also a spiritual cleansing, leaving me with a deeper respect for the power and beauty of nature. I look forward to returning here and continuing to explore more of the mysteries of this mysterious land.
