🚶‍♂️There are a lot of things to visit and play in it: the Xinhai Autumn Road Protection Monument, the Memorial Square, the Orchid Garden, the Bonsai Garden, the Shaocheng Garden, the Chrysanthemum Garden... Chengdu is really a city with a strong sense of history. You will never get tired of it no matter how much you play!

😄When you come out of the People's Park subway station and look up, you will see the towering memorial to the victims of the Xinhai Autumn Road Protection Movement in the park. This is a place with a story.

😄 Not far ahead, I passed a pavilion. Inside the pavilion was a stone tablet with three characters of Jinshuixi engraved in cursive script on the front and Jinshuixi Ji on the back. It turned out that the river next to it was the Jinshuixi River, the moat of Chengdu in the past. I felt that I had come to the right place.

But not far from them, there are people who are unmoved, leisurely and dazed by themselves, occasionally taking a puff of the cigarette in their hand, and then slowly smelling the smoke. On the other side, there is a group of people practicing Tai Chi.

🍵If there is anything that is standard for Chengdu people, besides hot pot and mahjong, it is drinking tea. A friend recommended that we take a good rest in the teahouse in People's Park, drink a cup of tea in a gaiwan, and watch the people around us.

A bowl of tea, alone or with friends, chatting about the world and life. This scene seems familiar, and is similar to the teahouses in Guangdong.

🍵We found a corner seat, ordered a cup of tea each, plus a bag of peanuts and melon seeds, and the leisure tea time began. The waiter gave us two basins, and the old Chengdu people told us that one was for snacks and the other was for garbage such as peanut shells. There was a kettle for each table, and after drinking the tea in the cup, you can add water to make it again. This is a little different from the Gongfu tea we drink in the southeast coast, with fewer details, but this kind of self-drinking is more comfortable, and I like it very much.

💆‍♀️Ear cleaning is a unique service in Chengdu teahouses, which brings comfort to the extreme. The folk craftsmen who do back massage and ear cleaning in the teahouse carry a small box on their shoulders, which contains their tools and utensils. Usually such masters do ear cleaning and back massage at the same time, but of course they can also do it separately. The ear cleaning process feels very light, and the ear cleaning master is very careful. It was originally a very nervous thing, but I didn't expect that the customer would snore while the ear cleaning was going on.

💁‍♀️If you want to see how the old Chengdu people live, you can visit People's Park. It is said that the square dance here is the most authoritative in Chengdu, and the aunties from other parks will come here to observe and learn. I went there at the wrong time and didn't see it. It must be a unique flower in Chengdu.

🐟As for the koi in the People's Park Koi Pond, it seems that there is no biggest one, only bigger ones. It is difficult to compare which one is taller. Their bodies are generally 3 or 4 times larger than ordinary koi. Despite this, these koi have no intention of "losing weight". Once someone feeds them by the pond, they will drag their "heavy" bodies and swim to the edge of the pond to continue eating.

🌊Because they are too fat, when the koi gather together to fight for food, "traffic accidents" often occur, splashing water.

💏There is a very special and wonderful place in People's Park, that is the blind date corner next to the Road Protection Movement Square. The blind date corner of Chengdu People's Park emerged in 2005. Now it has become a very lively corner of People's Park. Some A4 papers with personal information are lying on the ground, some are placed in paper bags, and some are hung on umbrellas, waiting for people to examine them. Most of them are born in the 70s and 80s, and there are also young people born in the 90s. However, most of the people who come to the blind date corner are their parents, who use these A4 papers to help their children find happiness in this life.

But can this method really lead to finding the person you want to spend your life with?

🍵In the morning, I came to the Heming Tea House in People's Park and drank tea with the local grandpas and grandmas. The tea house is very simple, with bamboo chairs, wooden tables, and enamel bowls for melon seeds...

🌲Birds chirped from time to time in the woods, and a ray of sunlight shone through the gaps in the leaves, hitting the wisp of white smoke from the hot tea... It felt like time had slowed down. If time wasn't urgent, I really wanted to sit here for a while longer.

✨ (We ordered a cup of Tieguanyin and a cup of Biluochun. After eating spicy food for a few days, my stomach felt a little uncomfortable. After drinking the tea, I felt much more refreshed.)

🎨An old man and an old woman were painting seriously. No matter how crowded the park was, they only had eyes for the glittering peonies in their paintings.

🥟Finally, I have to give a shoutout to Zhong Shui Jiao in People's Square. Zhong Shui Jiao tastes a bit like sweet water noodles, sweet and spicy, or you can choose not to have it spicy. I think the taste is amazing.

💏Every city has a People's Park, and every People's Park has a blind date corner! When we passed by, we joined in the fun for a while, but we didn't dare to take pictures...

🌿People's Park still retains a traditional memory, showing the tea culture from ancient times to the present, and attracting groups of tourists. In order to have a real experience, we specially set aside half a day, sitting on a wooden bench in People's Park, crossing our legs and eating melon seeds.

🌿We arrived at the park around 11 o'clock, and the good seats in the teahouse were basically taken, but there were still many seats.

🍵The teahouse is behind the Heming sign~ There are already a lot of people. You can take a seat as long as you pay the tea fee. The waiter will give you a bottle of hot water, and then you can sit and chat slowly~ You can bring your own food, and there is also a small shop next to it where you can buy things. Except for tourists, most of them are local people in Chengdu. There are still a lot of people, so you will feel very leisurely when you arrive here. Towering trees, a cup of tea, bought melon seeds and peanuts, brought fruits and biscuits, and stole half a day of leisure...

🌿But it turns out that the four of us are all restless people. After eating melon seeds, peanuts, fruits, taking selfies, and chatting, only one hour has passed....

The first stop of the 4-day tour in Chengdu. I had not planned to come here. I planned to go to Wuhou Temple on the morning of the third day of the first lunar month. Wow, there were so many people, far beyond our imagination. We changed our minds temporarily and found a top 10 attraction in Chengdu near Wuhou Temple. I just strolled around as the beginning of this Buddhist tour. People's Park is a good place for citizens to take a walk. If you have friends from afar, you can't go there! There are photos of the Chengdu bombing and the monument to the Railway Protection Movement in the park.

People's Park is open to the public free of charge. The famous Heming Tea House and Zhong Dumplings (Headquarters) are located here. There is also a monument to the Sichuan Army's anti-Japanese generals who died and a monument to the Xinhai Autumn Railway Protection Incident.

It seems that there is a dating corner in every people's park in every city. You might as well go and take a look at what Chengdu people's criteria for choosing a spouse are... Unfortunately, time is limited, and I didn't find it after searching around.

Although there are many tourists, it does not affect the experience of Chengdu's most urban side. The small park is so lively. It's only 3:30 in the afternoon, and various elderly clubs have already started activities. There are dancing here, singing there... There are programs everywhere. At Heming Tea House, a cup of tea in a gaiwan, watching a performance, sitting leisurely for half a day, how can it be comfortable.

The park is famous for its teahouses, and we were looking forward to experiencing an authentic Bashi life. We had a leisurely breakfast, but the rain was getting heavier than expected. We had no choice but to visit People's Park in the rain. Due to the heavy rain, there were few visitors in the park, and it was quiet. The famous Heming Tea House could not set up tables outdoors, and we regretfully did not see the lively scene of Chengdu citizens drinking tea and cleaning their ears. There were many lotus and koi in the park, and the scenery was pleasant. We rested in the teahouse for an hour. At about 10:30, the rain finally subsided, so we continued to visit. There are many ponds in the park. It is early summer, with lotus leaves, lotus flowers, and koi swimming around. It is really quiet and pleasant with the light rain. When passing an elegant corridor, I saw the largest koi of the day, which was really shining like a golden dragon fish.

Go to People's Park, drink a cup of gaiwan tea, play a few rounds of mahjong, experience the most authentic life in old Chengdu, and pretend to be a Chengdu native!

People's Park is a place with great sentimentality for Chengdu people, not only because the park was built a long time ago. Originally, Chengdu people could enjoy the rare tranquility in the city here, but now more and more tourists visit, and there is more and more noise and bustle here. The price of ear cleaning is different, and it seems to range from 30 to 100. 30 minutes is about ten minutes, although the time is short, but the process is still very enjoyable. Forget it. Keep Chengdu in your heart, and I will come back someday.

People carrying vegetables and fruits in a hurry can be seen everywhere in the park. I don't know if they are taking a shortcut after buying vegetables, or going home to cook after playing in the park. Walking along the main road of the park, waves of people's happy singing, beautiful folk songs, and traditional operas floated in. Then I found out that people all over the country are going on blind dates, hahahaha. However, the park is really big, with mountains, water and woods. The scenery is very similar to that of Jiangnan, but the layout is more relaxed.
