I have been in Chengdu for 4 or 5 years. This is my first time to visit Dongjiao Memory. Haha! Will I be criticized? (covering my face) But the various buildings inside are really unique! I took a lot of photos myself! (Haha), if you travel to Chengdu, you can come here if you have enough time, and you can always meet couples taking wedding photos!

This place not only carries the collective memory of a generation, but also holds the dreams of many contemporary Chengdu people.

The dialogue and collision between old and new, history and modernity, tradition and fashion, past and future is like a vivid "journey through time" in Dongjiao Memory.

As soon as you walk in, you'll see some graffiti and some old buildings.

But my favorite is the little train inside.

There are many romantic cafes and bars here, and the atmosphere is pretty good. There are often various music performances and art exhibitions, and many street performers perform here. There are several train carriages deep in the area, which are very suitable for taking photos and checking in. At the same time, this place is also suitable for taking retro photos, with old office buildings, red brick factories, etc. It is also a favorite place for wedding photographers.

A tourist area transformed from an industrial area. Comics and graffiti make this place a photo-taking sanctuary. This is a very suitable place for taking pictures. Don't miss it if you like taking pictures. There are bars, restaurants, and various creative photo spots. This place is far from the city and there is no subway.

Dongjiao Memory was originally the "East District Music Park". It is a new type of tourist attraction that combines the protection of industrial heritage with cultural and creative industries.

The office buildings, red brick factories, locomotives and railroad tracks built with aid from the former Soviet Union make up today's creative park, which has a strong visual impact and a strong sense of nostalgia.

There are often various music performances and art exhibitions in the scenic area, and the cafes, bookstores, bars, etc. in the park are also worth visiting.

If you are a fan, there is also a hand model wall of celebrities such as Jane Zhang, Chris Lee, and Jiang Wen.

When we were taking pictures here, we met some seniors who love photography.

When I was posing, I noticed a lot of cameras all around, and I felt a little scared. Finally, an old senior took us around and took pictures for me. He was a teacher from Jiaotong University, a very talkative senior who was good at taking pictures.

Dongjiao Memory is a completely open scenic spot. It was formerly an industrial park and a "state-owned Hongguang electron tube factory". Therefore, you can see many propaganda slogans of the former CCP. The electron tube factory was assisted by the Soviet Union, so the buildings have a Soviet flavor of the last century. Later, the industrial park was abandoned, and this place became a music park with music as its core. Later, it was officially named "Dongjiao Memory". It is a gathering place for Chengdu cultural performances, creations and exchanges. Many famous artists have created and performed here.



To sum it up in one sentence, Dongjiao Memory is a place where industrial style and music culture creation elements are integrated.

Although these abandoned factories have become very quiet and even a little desolate, they once worked loudly day after day and year after year, just like a warrior in his twilight years who once had a glorious past.

Traces of the planned economy era of the last century can be seen everywhere.

There are still many teams creating original songs one after another at Dongjiao Memory. Throughout the whole journey, I found that this attraction did not have too many tourists, was not noisy, and not too commercial, and was quite leisurely.

This place has the same purpose as Beijing's 798 and Chongqing's Eling Second Factory, all of which revive old factories that were on the verge of extinction in a literary and artistic way. However, Dongjiao Memory not only develops in the direction of literature and art, its diversity is also eye-catching.

At the west gate, you can see a giant musical doll from afar. It looks very cute. Due to years of wind and sun, this cute metal musical doll has become rusty. However, this natural brush has given the doll a different literary and artistic flavor.

Young musicians can be seen singing everywhere here, with a guitar and a microphone, simple yet casual and free.

The wall below a model light rail is painted with cute little people. They jump out of the wall and climb onto the rails to show their cuteness to people. From flat to three-dimensional, it has to be said that the artists here have big imaginations and are full of creativity.

Here, the trash can man climbed onto the rails, and there, the music doll jumped onto the wall. The cute little characters appeared vividly in various unexpected corners, always giving you surprises. It's really a group of cute little people that you can't help but be attracted to, haha.

There are many small shops here. Their doors are decorated into a small artistic garden. Even an old building can be made artistic. If you are tired of shopping, you can find a shop to sit in and kill time.

As I was walking, a pink wall appeared in front of me. The tender and pink wall was so girly that it made me burst with girlish hearts. Although those born in the 90s are already old ladies, my eyes were filled with hearts at this moment, and no one could stop me from taking pictures here.

The geometric lines and pink gradient tiles form a simple yet beautiful background. When the sunlight shines in, the shadows and the wall form an oblique angle. It would be a nice place to take a set of photos.

There is an old train in every cultural and creative park. The Dongfanghong here is the first steam locomotive in Sichuan. Now it has retired and sits quietly here for workers to watch. This train has a long history and represents the development of Sichuan's industrial era. The unique black body, red wheel front, and strong retro flavor make any photo full of literary style.

Camouflaged fighter planes, bronze-bodied workers, creative sculptures, and large tracts of painted containers fill the entire street with an industrial vibe. The sculptures and buildings that are full of age not only reflect a retro feel, but also tell people about China’s earliest era.

Similar to Beijing's 798, Guangzhou's Red Brick Factory and Chongqing's Eling Factory No. 2, they are all new cultural bases built on the sites of industrial relics and combined with cultural and creative industries.

Scrapped machine tools can be seen everywhere, and large posters with a retro feel are mixed with modern symbols, which have a stronger visual impact and a strong sense of nostalgia. Under the exterior of the old buildings, there are many small shops decorated with flowers. The central open-air square often has live performances by bands, and there are cultural supermarkets, IMAX theaters, calligraphy and painting exhibitions, mobile music, etc.

When the weather is good, young people dance hip-hop, old people walk with golden dogs, cafe tables and chairs are moved outdoors, and many leisurely people are immersed in slow time. Everything is natural.

To be honest, I regretted traveling so far to see some shabby things. I don't recommend going.

Speaking of Dongjiao Memories, I accidentally learned about this place when I was watching TV in 2012. It has been recorded in my heart. When I came to Chengdu to live my slow-paced life, I found such a place on the map and walked here. Before coming here, I didn't know what it looked like. I didn't know whether it would be different from what I saw on TV after so many years. I came here with curiosity and memory.

It turns out that this place is a product left over from the old industrial era, with many factories, sewing machines, abandoned trains and other sculptures. As a photographer, I instantly fell in love with this place. I like taking portraits, and this place is really suitable for taking decadent and retro-style portraits. There are also bars here, and there are many guitar-shaped sculptures and exhibition halls. There are really bars and ballads everywhere in Chengdu.

There are also many two-dimensional dolls and shops here, which are suitable for taking cartoon-style photos. There are not as many tourists here as in Jinli, and of course it is not such a well-known tourist attraction. I like the feeling here, walking and taking pictures with friends, strolling in this empty park. The big train here is quite famous. It seems that many people here take wedding photos. It is easy to take big photos next to the train.

Dongjiao Memory is not big, and the location is not good. But you can spend a long time here. If you like literature and art, you can find a bar or teahouse to sit. I don't want to move anymore, I like to find a quiet place to sit and drink tea, I like that kind of life.

We went to Dongjiao Memory in the rain. It was raining so hard that few people came out to play. There were almost no tourists. My mother and I had a lot of fun in the rain. It is very similar to Eling Second Factory, but it has more traces of the old factory than the Second Factory.

Dongjiao Memory Music Park is not far from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. It is a place somewhat similar to Beijing's 798, with the appearance of an old factory area after renovation.

There are some music shops and practice rooms. There have also been some music performances recently, and judging by the previews, they are mostly in the evening.

The former military and electronics factories supported a large number of employees and migrant workers.

There are many small shops and bars, but I didn't go in. There are not many people. I went there specifically to see the handprints of my idols. There don't seem to be as many places to take photos as I imagined. But it's still interesting. If you have time, you can go around and visit.

It's really a must-go place for young people with a literary flair! It's very suitable for taking photos, but it rained today, so we couldn't pose. The tour was quick, and it took less than two hours to finish. Many people came to cosplay today, which was really so cute... Actually, I really want to take photos with them. I really like the graffiti here.

The animation area was full of toys for both big and small kids, so everyone tried their hand at being childish. They used twenty coins, but ended up not getting even half a doll. Their luck and skills were just weak.
