Du Fu Thatched Cottage is the former residence of Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu when he was in Chengdu. He lived here for nearly 4 years and wrote more than 240 poems. At the end of the Tang Dynasty, poet Wei Zhuang found the ruins of the thatched cottage and rebuilt it, which made the cottage preserved to this day. The thatched cottage covers an area of nearly 300 acres, with simple and elegant buildings and quiet and beautiful gardens. The architectural layout of the two renovations and expansions in the Ming and Qing dynasties is completely preserved.

Compared with Li Bai's romanticism, Du Fu's realism always seems too sad. This is also true throughout his life. From being trapped in Chang'an, to being displaced by war, to wandering in Shu, and finally wandering around but missing his hometown, Du Fu died suddenly on a small boat and was unable to return to the north. "The blood of the war is still flowing, and the sound of the army is still moving today." This is his last memory of the country and the people. There is no doubt that Du Fu is a great poet. He has had a very profound influence on Chinese literature and is honored as the "Poet Saint" by later generations.

Compared with the Thatched Cottage, I prefer the Wuhou Temple. I always feel that the Thatched Cottage is a bit desolate and tragic. In front of Du Fu's thatched cottage, there was a path lined with flowers and trees. He once wrote in his poem: "The flower path has never been swept for guests, and the door is now open for you." Today's flower path is a red-walled path connecting the Du Fu Thatched Cottage Memorial Building Complex and the original Thatched Cottage Temple. At the end of the flower path is the "Thatched Cottage Shadow Wall", which has become one of the iconic attractions of the Thatched Cottage. Finally, I have to complain that the tickets are still very expensive!

The scenic spots in Du Fu Thatched Cottage are quite scattered. Although I have a guide in hand, it is still a bit confusing to visit, but I try not to miss any. We enter from the north gate, turn right and go to "Yilan Pavilion" → "Thatched Cottage" → "Shaoling" → "Nanjiao" → "Flower Path" → "Bonsai Garden·Calligraphy and Woodcarving Gallery" → "Wanfo Building" → "Daya Hall" → "Thatched Cottage Screen Wall" → "Flower Path" → "Dahing" → "Shishi Hall" → "Gongbu Temple" → "Fanye Pavilion" → "North Gate" to exit.

Not many people visit Du Fu Thatched Cottage. Compared with the crowded Wuhou Temple, I prefer Du Fu Thatched Cottage because it has the flavor of Jiangnan gardens. The word "elegant" makes me intoxicated, and the word "quiet" makes me yearn for it. In particular, the "Flower Path", "Bonsai Garden·Calligraphy and Woodcarving Gallery", and "Du Poems Calligraphy and Stone Carving Gallery" are the most fascinating. It's a pity that time is short! Time! I just had a quick visit. If I were to visit alone, maybe I could stay in it for a day and savor the charm of the cottage.

Chengdu Du Fu Thatched Cottage Museum is located at No. 37 Qinghua Road, Qingyang District. It is the former residence of the great Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu when he lived in Chengdu. The buildings in the courtyard are simple and elegant, and the gardens are quiet and beautiful. It is a holy place in the history of Chinese literature. It is also the largest, best-preserved, most well-known and most distinctive site of Du Fu's whereabouts in China. Du Fu lived here for nearly four years, and turned the accumulation of four years of life into more than 240 immortal poems.

It is the largest, best-preserved, most well-known and most distinctive site of Du Fu's whereabouts in China.

Good rain knows its season, and it happens in spring.

It sneaks into the night with the wind, moistening everything silently.

The wild paths and the clouds are all dark; only the fire on the river boat is bright.

In the morning, I see the red wet area and the heavy flowers in the Jinguan City.

Chengdu is also known as Jinguan City and Rongcheng. Jinguan City comes from Shu brocade, and Rongcheng comes from the hibiscus that once grew all over Chengdu. Both have a history of more than a thousand years. Du Fu's sentence "In the morning, I see the red wet place, and the flowers are heavy in Jinguan City" cleverly points out the two nicknames of Chengdu.

Du Fu, whose courtesy name was Zimei, called himself Shaoling Ye Lao. Later generations also called him Du Shiyi, Du Shaoling and Du Gongbu.

Du Fu was not from Chengdu, but his former residence, Thatched Cottage, has become the most shining one among the many cultural symbols of Chengdu.

Du Fu was originally from Hubei and was born in Henan. He is known as the Poet Saint and his works are called Poetic History. He is the greatest poet of realistic style in Chinese history. He once lived in Chengdu and later died in Hunan.

Like most realist writers and poets, misfortune never gave up chasing him. Du Fu encountered the An-Shi Rebellion during his most proud youth. The once glorious Tang Dynasty quickly fell from prosperity to decline. Before he could embark on an official career, he began a long period of exile until the end of his life.

The four years he spent in the Thatched Cottage by the Huanhua River in Chengdu were a rare period of peace and stability in Du Fu's wandering life. During this period, Du Fu produced many excellent works, leaving behind many treasures for future generations.

Perhaps to repay the shelter Chengdu once gave him, the poet, although gone for many years, has left his literary reputation forever, and the empty thatched cottage behind him has become the most immortal palace of poetry in the hearts of future generations.

There is no clear record of how many writers and poets have come here to pay tribute, admire and seek inspiration, but it has almost never stopped for more than 1,500 years.

Today, the Thatched Cottage has been renovated countless times. The bamboo, trees, flowers, and plants, pavilions, and bridges throughout the old residence retain a rare tranquility and elegance in the modernized city of Chengdu.

When you are there, even the most hurried tourist will involuntarily stop to look at the poems carved on the plaques everywhere and sigh at the poet's rough life.

Du Fu Thatched Cottage and Wuhou Temple can be regarded as must-see cultural attractions in Chengdu. There is a Panda Bus connecting the two. You can find it by asking at the entrance of the scenic spot. It is very convenient.

As for the time required to visit, it depends on personal preference. Both attractions are small in scale but have a lot to offer. Fortunately, they both have good websites. Those who are interested in visiting can first read the official introduction and the detailed introduction below.

The only scenic spot I visited in Chengdu, I personally like it very much. It is a garden in the city, quiet in the bustling city. I booked the tickets on China-TravelNote in advance (usually an hour in advance), and when I arrived at the gate, I directly exchanged the paper tickets to enter the park, which was very convenient.

The whole garden is not small, and you can spend most of the day strolling around. Because it was a sunny day when we went there, many uncles came out to walk their birds, which added a lot of vitality to the thatched cottage.

The wintersweets were in bloom in January and looked particularly beautiful. Many red lanterns were also hung in the cottage, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Du Fu Thatched Cottage is of course related to Du Fu. He once lived here for four years, and the cottage he lived in has been preserved, but it was certainly not so large at that time. The small thatched cottage looks quite large, and it is very spacious for one person to live in ~ but it feels cold just looking at it!

This place is very suitable for taking photos. The bamboo forest, red walls and thatched cottages can add a lot of color to the photos. There is also a tower that you can climb up to overlook Chengdu. There is a small museum inside.

I met an orange cat here, and there were many birds. The ecological environment is pretty good.

It is recommended to choose a sunny weather to play ~

I am extremely fascinated by the various cultural landscapes in Chengdu. Most of them are located in the city center, hidden in the city. Without any deliberate effort, the cultural atmosphere is integrated into the streets and alleys.

Today's rain really made our trip to Du Fu's Thatched Cottage a success. The originally extremely quiet and elegant environment is matched with a little rain. What kind of weather can better experience Du Fu's mood when he lived there? The scenery inside the thatched cottage is scattered, the winding paths lead to secluded places, the mountains and rivers embrace each other, and the greenery is even more intoxicating, which reminds people of "three mountains half fall outside the blue sky, and the Egret Island is divided by two waters", and "the flower path has never been swept for guests, and the door is now opened for you". The thatched houses dotted among them are simple and quiet, and with the ancient wooden corridor bridge, a sense of seclusion different from the gorgeous classical gardens arises spontaneously. Passing through the flower path, there is a short section of black tiles and red walls, which are restrained and bright under the shade of slender green bamboos, and are quiet and quiet. Speaking of red walls, the one in Wuhou Temple is the most famous, and the small section here has already made us very excited.

There are obviously more tourists in Caotang.

The Ancient Book Restoration Exhibition Hall is an open space that shows the public how to restore ancient books, allowing visitors to understand the process of ancient book restoration more intuitively.

The entire Du Fu Thatched Cottage Scenic Area is much more than just the thatched cottage. The layout of the entire scenic area is very grand, and includes various courtyards and gardens.

A very beautiful courtyard that can bring a touch of coolness even in the hot summer.

The real Caotang former residence is actually very small. It is located in the middle of the entire scenic area. To put it bluntly, it is just a few thatched houses.

Nowadays, tourists continue to visit and the temple is crowded with people. I guess this is something Du Fu never expected back then.

By Want to travel around the world |

The Thatched Cottage is of course not the thatched cottage it once was. Chengdu has invested a lot of money and resources to maintain and manage this scenic spot. Today's Du Fu Thatched Cottage cannot give you the feeling of poverty that Du Fu experienced when he wandered to Chengdu, but when you visit this scenic spot, you can put yourself in that atmosphere, which will make you understand it better~

In fact, the scenery of Caotang is also very good. Both the architectural beauty and the feng shui layout can be regarded as top-notch. Moreover, seeing such a large area of ancient buildings in the city center is also an alternative visual experience!

There is a square outside Du Fu Thatched Cottage, but now it has been occupied by square dance aunties. Their uniforms are very professional, haha.

Today, the Thatched Cottage is no longer a quiet place. The hustle and bustle outside is no longer the same world as when Du Fu came. The world has changed, but history has not changed. If you come to the Thatched Cottage again today, you will still understand Du Fu's feelings of worrying about the country and the people.

By Grace wants to travel around the world |

I went there not long after it opened at 8 o'clock. The air in the morning was particularly good and there were few people. There were bursts of piano sounds in the thatched cottage, coupled with the fragrance of grass and trees in the morning, and there were bamboo forests. This feeling was very comfortable. Recently, the ticket price was discounted, 50 for adults and 25 for students. Although I don't like to visit scenic spots, this trip was worthwhile. Du Fu's thatched cottage is really a "thatched" cottage, a thatched house with simple room layout. I took a special photo of his study table to motivate myself to study hard! I think this is what makes Chengdu attractive. There are delicious food and cultural customs. It is suitable for slowing down. Compared with the crowded Wuhou Temple, I prefer it here. The impoverished Du Fu settled in the thatched cottage, accompanied by flowers and plants, poems and books, which can be regarded as his little world.

Recommendation index: five stars

After crossing Huanhuaxi Park, you will arrive at Du Fu Thatched Cottage. Tickets for Du Fu Thatched Cottage can be purchased online, but they must be booked one hour in advance. On the left is the online ticket pick-up window, and on the right is the on-site ticket window. However, when I went there, the on-site tickets had to be purchased with cash. If you haven't booked online tickets, remember to bring cash!

Coming to Du Fu Thatched Cottage is, of course, to remember this great Tang Dynasty poet who was concerned about his country and his people. Du Fu fled to Sichuan due to the war and built a thatched cottage by the Huanhua Creek in Chengdu. During this period, he created a large number of poems here, most of which were based on the local scenery, and expressed his emotions and ideas based on his own situation and social background. The song "The Thatched Cottage Destroyed by the Autumn Wind" was written in Chengdu Thatched Cottage.

The Thatched Cottage built by Du Fu was on the bank of Huanhua Creek. As time went by, the original site was no longer beside the creek. The Thatched Cottage no longer existed. It was the late Tang poet Wei Yingwu who found the remains and rebuilt it on the original site to preserve it. Later generations have repaired and expanded it, and it has the appearance of today's Thatched Cottage.

Neither Du Fu nor Zhuge Liang were from Chengdu, but when people talk about historical celebrities in Chengdu, they are always the first ones that come to mind. This may be because many important events in their lives took place in Chengdu.

When you reach the flower path, you will start walking towards the exit. If you want to properly visit Du Fu Thatched Cottage, you need to study the layout of the park carefully. You can also follow the WeChat public account to get maps and recommended route maps. There are also audio guides on it. Compared with the explanations at Wuhou Temple, they are inferior in content and convenience, but they are provided free of charge, which is considered conscientious.

I feel that the Caotang covers a very large area

Du Fu is really rich.

After checking back, I found out that the current thatched cottage was rebuilt on the original site.

Basically modern technology

So don't doubt Du Fu's heart for caring for poor scholars

The environment of the thatched cottage is very quiet

I really like this environment.

I want to live in a place like this

There are mountains, water and gardens

Caotang has several exhibition halls with Du Fu's poetry collections published in various eras.

There is a famous flower path with the words "Caotang" written at the end.

There is also a Caotang Cultural Research Institute

The other is the Tang Dynasty ruins, which contain excavated ruins and some cultural relics exhibits.

There is also a Wanfo Building in the park. This should have been built later, right?

Many garden plants landscape display tables

It seems that Chengdu people like plant landscape very much

Du Fu Thatched Cottage is not far from the Sichuan Museum. It is Du Fu's former residence in Chengdu, where he lived for nearly five years, which were also the most comfortable years in his life. He wrote many pastoral poems with a relaxed style. Dark water flows through the flower paths, and spring stars shine over the thatched cottage, showing the tranquility and beauty of the thatched cottage at night. Of course, the thatched cottage today is no longer the same as it was back then, but the pastoral style remains, with beautiful scenery, elegant nature, and deep tranquility.

You can ask a tour guide to explain. The gardens, statues, buildings, poems and inscriptions inside all have history, but it is also nice to wander around on your own.

Du Fu Thatched Cottage is located in Caotang Community, Caotang Street, Qingyang District. It was once the residence of the "Poet Saint" Du Fu in Chengdu.

Du Fu, also known by his courtesy name Zimei, was born in Gong County, Henan Province, into a family of officials. He was intelligent and ambitious since childhood. In the second year of the Qianyuan Period of the Tang Dynasty (759 AD), Du Fu fled to Chengdu with his family to avoid the An-Shi Rebellion.

According to historical records, after Du Fu arrived in Chengdu, he first stayed temporarily in a temple in the western suburbs of Chengdu. Later, with the help of relatives and friends, he built a thatched cottage by the picturesque Huanhua Creek, which is its current location. It was called "Chengdu Thatched Cottage" at the time.

Du Fu lived here for three years and nine months, and wrote more than 240 poems in total (one poem every five days), so the Thatched Cottage in Chengdu is Du Fu's most famous former residence, without a doubt.

The plum blossoms in Du Fu's Thatched Cottage are in full bloom.

But if you want to know what else this attraction has to offer... For someone like me who is not familiar with the history and did not ask for explanation, it feels like just a big park. Not worth the money.

Du Fu Thatched Cottage meets all my imaginations of the residence of literati and scholars, with pavilions, towers, mountain and water stone paths, green bamboos, flowers and trees. It is extremely natural, as if it were made by heaven, poetic, picturesque, and elegant.

This place combines gardens, ancient buildings, poetry and calligraphy appreciation, unearthed cultural relics, etc. It has beautiful scenery, poetry, and patriotic sentiment, just like the bamboo standing tall, deeply rooted in the hot land I love! I have been to Caotang before, and now I see the old face again, and my feelings are deeper. This is a place I will definitely walk into when I pass by. I revisited the old place, not only because of the beautiful scenery, but also out of my love for this spiritual garden and the suggestions of your platform, I still hope that the service of Caotang can be improved to a higher level, especially the humanistic temperament of some new cultural and creative exhibition points in the park, which can be gradually unified and integrated with the spirit and thoughts here, so as to be worthy of Du Zi's heart. Instead of those faces, words and tones that look youthful but stained with commercial dust. I hope that Caotang will be renovated as before, and still elegant. Regardless of the past, my overall evaluation will always be five stars. When I visit Chengdu again in the future, I will still be a pious old guest here.

Du Fu Thatched Cottage is not suitable for sunny days, but drizzling rain is the best match. Good rain knows when to fall, and it happens in spring. The Thatched Cottage after the rain has a cool and cool temperament, which is particularly charming.

TIPS: 1. My route is to go to Qingyang Palace first, then to Du Fu Thatched Cottage, and finally to the museum. These three places are close to each other and can be reached by bike. The reason why the museum is arranged last is that it is also open at night, so you can visit it at night.

Key point: Sichuan Museum is open at night on weekdays!!! However, it is not open at night due to the epidemic.

2. The ticket price for Qingyang Palace is 10 yuan, and the opening hours are 08:00-18:00. The distance between Qingyang Palace and the museum is about 600 to 700 meters, but I missed Qingyang Palace perfectly during my ride because there was a subway under construction near Qingyang Palace and the gate was blocked by the fence, so I had to look carefully to find Qingyang Palace surrounded by the construction site.

3. The entrance fee to Du Fu Thatched Cottage is RMB 50. The opening hours are 08:00-20:00 (from May 1st to October 31st, Monday to Sunday in summer), and the ticket sales stop at 19:00. 08:00-18:30 (from November 1st to April 30th of the following year, Monday to Sunday in winter); the ticket sales stop at 17:30)

It happened that the hotel I stayed in Chengdu was right by the Huanhua Creek, next to Du Fu's Thatched Cottage. I originally had no time, but the car that picked me up happened to be 3 hours late, which gave me some time to see the sights. When I arrived at the door of the Thatched Cottage, I forgot my wallet at the hotel. Just when I was feeling frustrated, it happened that May 18th was the free visiting day for the Thatched Cottage, and this was the only day of the year that it was open to the public for free. These three coincidences made it possible for me to stride into the former residence of the poet with great pride. I was so happy.

I remember that when I took the Chinese major exam, I had chosen the elective course "Du Fu Studies". I remember that Guo Moruo wrote a book "Li Bai and Du Fu". Using the viewpoint of class and class struggle, he actually interpreted Du Fu as a filial son and grandson of the feudal ruling class. There was a period of time when Li Bai was praised and Du was suppressed. Many fabricated works even implicated ancient people who lived thousands of years ago.

Although Du Fu was also an official, he showed a sense of crisis, patriotism and love for the people. He did not express the suffering of the people from the surface, but revealed the deep-seated social problems from the crimes of the rulers. His poems are the most political, and he has a strong sense of social responsibility. He is a great realist poet. Du Fu was elected as a world cultural celebrity by the World Peace Council in 1962. His literary achievements have made great contributions to human civilization. So when I wandered in the thatched cottage, I was not very calm. Du Fu lived here for four years when he was poor and destitute. Now it has been built into a garden-style tourist resort, losing its original flavor. I wonder what Du Fu's spirit in heaven thinks.

The ruins of the Thatched Cottage should be authentic. Wei Zhuang, a famous poet during the Five Dynasties, discovered the thatched cottage where Du Fu once lived and renovated it. Although it was damaged several times afterwards, it has been maintained by successive dynasties. The current building was built during the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty, which is enough to show the respect that later generations have for Du Fu. What impressed me most here was the statue of Du Fu, with a sharp character and eyes full of worry, stubbornness and indomitable spirit. I am also interested in the "Daya Hall", which has a huge pottery lacquer mural describing Du Fu's life. There are also statues of 12 famous poets inside, including the drunken Su Dongpo, the elegant Li Bai, the calm Bai Juyi, and especially Chen Ziang, who is huge and strong, with his arms raised, and he really has a heroic demeanor. The momentum of "thinking of the vastness of the world, I am alone and shed tears" is vividly displayed before my eyes.

Du Fu Thatched Cottage is located at No. 37 Qinghua Road, Qingyang District, Chengdu, on the bank of Huanhua Creek outside the West Gate. It is the former residence of the Chinese Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu when he lived in Chengdu.

In the winter of 759 AD, Du Fu fled to Sichuan with his family to avoid the An-Shi Rebellion and built a thatched cottage in Chengdu, which was called "Chengdu Thatched Cottage". Du Fu lived here for nearly four years and wrote more than 240 poems that have been passed down to this day. The Thatched Cottage is regarded as a "holy place" in the history of Chinese literature.

When Du Fu came to Chengdu, he found the scenery pleasant, so he settled here and built the Du Fu Thatched Cottage. Because he was poor at the time, he wrote many poems to ask local celebrities for some flowers, plants and trees, which he planted himself. He took a fancy to a piece of precious land beside Huanhua Creek, so he built it along the creek.

Chengdu Du Fu Thatched Cottage Museum is the former residence of Du Fu, a great poet of the Tang Dynasty in my country, when he lived in Chengdu. He lived there for four years and created more than 240 poems. After Du Fu left Chengdu, the cottage was destroyed. After being renovated and expanded in the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, it became a holy place in the history of literature. The Du Fu Memorial Hall was established in 1955 and renamed Chengdu Du Fu Thatched Cottage Museum in 1985. It is a national 4A tourist attraction. You can always see scenes of practical education for primary and secondary school students inside. Du Fu Thatched Cottage Museum is free for people over 60 years old, and adult tickets are 50 yuan/person. On one side of the toilet is the Huanhua Temple, and not far away is the Du Fu Memorial Hall, which tells the life of Du Fu and the changes of Du Fu's thatched cottage. Some sculptures in the memorial hall are also used for taking photos. In the main hall of the thatched cottage, the Poetry and History Hall, there is a statue of Du Fu, whose beard is obviously rubbed shiny. Du Fu was born in a turbulent time and was displaced. He talked about the social realities he saw and heard, and the people's grievances and national hatreds he felt and lamented, which were basically recorded in poetry. Reading his poems is like the first part of the history of the rise and fall of the Tang Dynasty. Calling Du Fu a poetic history is a high evaluation of this great poet by later generations.

Du Fu's former residence when he lived in Chengdu. Du Fu lived here for nearly four years and wrote hundreds of poems. It is regarded as a "holy place" in the history of Chinese literature. Compared with Li Bai's romanticism, Du Fu's realism always seems too sad. Looking at his life, it is also true. From being trapped in Chang'an, being displaced by war, to wandering in Shu, and finally wandering around but homesick, Du Fu died suddenly on a small boat and could not return to the north. At the end of the Tang Dynasty, the poet Wei Zhuang found the ruins of the cottage and rebuilt the cottage, which made the cottage preserved to this day. Today's Du Fu Cottage has been restored many times in the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. There are pavilions and towering ancient trees in the garden. •The main attractions include the main hall, the Poetry History Hall, the Ministry of Industry Temple, etc. The "Du Fu Poetry Calligraphy Woodcarving Gallery" displays more than 100 Du Fu Poetry Calligraphy Woodcarving Works. •Du Fu's former thatched cottage was rebuilt based on the characteristics of the folk houses in western Sichuan, and now it has become the iconic landscape of Du Fu Cottage.

Du Fu is one of the most famous poets in the history of my country and is known as the "Poet Saint". Du Fu Thatched Cottage is located on the bank of Huanhua Creek in the western suburbs of Chengdu. Du Fu lived here for nearly 4 years and wrote the popular "Spring Night Rain" and "Song of the Thatched Cottage Broken by the Autumn Wind". The thatched cottage where Du Fu lived in those days no longer exists. The current thatched cottage is actually a beautiful garden built by later generations to commemorate Du Fu, including the "Big Hall", "Poetry History Hall" and "Ministry of Industry Temple". The thatched cottage covers an area of nearly 300 acres and completely retains the architectural layout of the renovation and expansion in the 13th year of Hongzhi in the Ming Dynasty (1500 AD) and the 16th year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1811 AD). The buildings are simple and elegant, and the gardens are quiet and beautiful. It is a holy place in the history of Chinese literature. The Du Fu Memorial Hall was established in 1955 and was renamed Chengdu Du Fu Thatched Cottage Museum in 1985.

Du Fu Thatched Cottage has been rebuilt for many generations since the late Tang Dynasty. The current specifications are those left over from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Although there are no things from the Tang Dynasty inside, there are still many ancient books and modern calligraphy and paintings of Du Fu's works, and the garden landscape itself is also very beautiful.

The main attractions of Caotang are the Thousand Poems Monument, the former residence of Caotang, Daya Hall, the Ten Thousand Buddhas Building, and the Tang Dynasty Ruins. The place is shaded by green bamboos, surrounded by green waters, and the environment is quiet and pleasant. However, it is still appropriate to read a few lines of Du Fu's poems: "I will climb to the top of the mountain and look down on all the mountains" reflects his ambitions in his youth; the Anshi Rebellion broke out, the country's fortune declined, and his career was not good and his life was full of misfortunes. The huge gap between ideals and reality also made Du Fu's poetry style change greatly, approaching realism, "The war has been going on for three months, and a letter from home is worth ten thousand gold." "The rich are drunk and feasting, and there are frozen bones on the road." His representative works "Three Officials"; "Three Farewells"; "Spring View"; "Hearing that the Government Troops Have Recovered Henan and Hebei" are popular.

I watched the variety show "Idols Are Coming" before, and I knew about "Du Fu Thatched Cottage", so I secretly took note of this place. When I come here, I will definitely check it in. The scenery is good and there are many people. I recommend it for a visit, it's still very good.

There is a Chen A-po Mapo Tofu restaurant not far from Caotang. I wanted to check in together, but there were too many people in line. I had to wait for a table for several hours, so I gave up. In the end, I ate at another restaurant which was super delicious. I highly recommend it to those who love spicy food like me!!!

There is no interest at all. The ticket is expensive and the inside is just like a park. There are very few things related to Du Fu. Many of them are printed pictures, a few silicone figures, and some books. The museum is very boring. The area is large but it is an empty shell with nothing to see. It is not worth 50 just for its fame.

Du Fu Thatched Cottage is located on the bank of Huanhua Creek outside the west gate of Qingyang District, Chengdu. It is the former residence of Du Fu, a great realist poet of the Tang Dynasty, when he lived in Chengdu. It is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

The Thatched Cottage has completely preserved the layout of the reconstruction during the reign of Emperor Jiaqing of the Qing Dynasty, with a total area of nearly 300 mu. The garden is a very unique "mixed" Chinese classical garden. Among them, the three main memorial buildings, the Grand Hall, the Poetry and History Hall, and the Ministry of Works Temple, are located on the central axis, deep and quiet.

The Thatched Cottage is a sacred place in the history of Chinese literature, with its simple and elegant architecture and tranquil and beautiful gardens. The Du Fu Memorial Hall was established in 1955 and was renamed the Chengdu Du Fu Thatched Cottage Museum in 1985.

In the winter of 759 AD, Du Fu, in order to avoid the An-Shi Rebellion, brought his family from Longyou (now southern Gansu Province) to Sichuan and finally arrived in Chengdu. In the spring of the following year, with the help of his friends, he built a thatched cottage on the picturesque Huanhua Creek in the western suburbs of Chengdu. In the spring of the following year, the cottage was completed and was called the Chengdu Thatched Cottage. The Thatched Cottage in Chengdu was mentioned in his poem "A Thatched Cottage West of Wanli Bridge, and the Water of Baihuatan is Canglang" ("Crazy Man"). He lived here for nearly four years. Because he was awarded the title of "Inspector of the Ministry of Works", he was also called Du Gongbu. During this period, he lived a relatively stable life and his poetry creation was very rich. He left behind 247 poems, such as "Happy Rain on a Spring Night" and "Prime Minister of Shu". Among them, "Song of the Thatched Cottage Destroyed by the Autumn Wind" is a masterpiece of all time. These poems account for about one-sixth of his total poems. Du Fu lived and made friends in Chengdu, wrote poems and painted paintings, and his wonderful works emerged in an endless stream. [Two orioles sing in the green willows, a line of egrets fly in the blue sky. The window contains the eternal snow of the Western Hills, and the door is moored with ships from Dongwu.] This "Four Quatrains (No. 3)" vividly depicts the spring scenery of the Bo family that the poet saw in the thatched cottage. In 765, Yan Wu died of illness. Du Fu, who lost his only support, had to bid farewell to Chengdu with his family. Two years later, he went to Jing and Xiang through the Three Gorges.

The air was very good. As it was close to getting off work, I didn't see the whole thing.

By Great Magician SS |

It is a large park with nice bamboo forests and flower paths. It is nice to take a rest here while reciting Du Fu's poems.

By Romantic Aristocracy |

These are all relatively tasteless attractions. But the air is good, and there is a park next to it with a good environment.

By Xiaoying~lo |

The environment is nice, like a park, and it's nice to take a walk around, but I always feel like I can't see anything related to Du Fu.

By yangpal |

It should be that the literati are more interested in it, otherwise it is just a quick visit.

By The colonel |

The Thatched Cottage has been restored, but the ruins are worth a look and the whole area is beautiful.

The former residence of the great poet Du Fu in Chengdu is a cultural landscape that is worth a visit.

By rice cake |

Come and have a look 🐱. It’s quite comfortable to take a look around for the first time. You can spend at least three hours strolling around taking breaks.

By Smiling at the wind and clouds |

The window contains the eternal snow on the Western Hills, and the door is moored with ships from Dongwu that have traveled thousands of miles. What a great spirit and what a broad vision.

By Pudding Milk Tea |

Well, it's pretty good. It introduces Du Fu's life, and there are children who serve as volunteer guides.

By Choi Choi 🍋 |

It feels like a super large park, it should be called a garden art tour, the environment is really good, there should be few historical sites, basically it is the thatched house that used to be there. I don't know much about history and literature, and we felt that the tickets were a bit expensive for the formality. But I felt very relaxed. The flower path is not as beautiful as it is on the Internet. There are red wall corridors everywhere, and there are not many people. In a word, the environment inside is really relaxing, quiet and comfortable.

By The original intention under the eaves |

I have been in Chengdu for nearly a year. I took advantage of my vacation to visit Du Fu Thatched Cottage. It was very quiet inside, which formed a sharp contrast with the noisy environment outside. The air was also very good, giving people a very comfortable and quiet feeling. However, the weather was relatively cool when I went there, so it was a little cold after entering.

The 6th scenic spot in Chengdu, Wanfo Tower, Thatched Cottage inscriptions and the restored Thatched Cottage are all highlights.

By Xu Xiang's perspective |

I went there more than 10 years ago. It is worth visiting just for the fame of the poet.

By Light Fluttering |

Yes. It was him. He wrote a poem. I had to write it many times as punishment when I was a student.

The Du Shi Calligraphy Gallery is a collection of selected authentic handwritten works by famous calligraphers throughout the ages. Although they are divided into stone tablets and nanmu engravings, they have the same interest and are beautiful when you appreciate them in a low voice.

The branches and leaves are bright, beautiful and clear. The bamboo trees are in the shade, and the scenery is red. The breeze blows gently, and the fragrance can be smelled.

Du Fu Thatched Cottage is a place where you can spend the afternoon strolling back and forth.

By Deep Lanser |

A place that exceeds expectations and is well worth the time.

By Lingyangyao |

Du Fu's thatched cottage is the thatched cottage mentioned in the poem "Autumn Wind". It is no longer there. It was rebuilt based on Du Fu's poems. The cottage itself is very small. There are many other buildings built next to it. Many plants are planted to form a large park, so the whole scenic area is quite large. You can still take a look! The tea in the covered bowl is good and not expensive at all. Sit down and taste the tea. If you are lucky, you can see squirrels.

By Zhang Qiling's Little Princess |

I went there because of the good reviews, but in reality, it was quite boring. It seems that it is still free for the elderly in Chengdu. The ticket is 60 per person, which is expensive.

By 塵 |

For young people who love ancient poetry, you must try to get a taste of the talent of the poet.

By Junjun |

The ticket to Du Fu Thatched Cottage is 50 yuan, and 50 yuan online. If you have China-TravelNote gold coins, you can use them as cash. It takes about 2 hours to visit Du Fu Thatched Cottage. The scenery is beautiful and you can learn a lot of historical and literary knowledge.

We were very lucky as we just happened to catch the final installation of the Chinese Flower Art Exhibition at Du Fu Thatched Cottage. We went in for a look around and saw groups of flowers of various colors and shapes, each looking completely different and very beautiful.

By Miaomiao Cloud |

There were not many people in the thatched cottage in the afternoon, it was quiet! My daughter said that she could write good poems in such an environment, haha

By quesooo |

The red walls of Du Fu's Thatched Cottage are very suitable for taking photos. Apart from that, it's just to meet Du Fu, which is not much else. It can cultivate your sentiments. It's better to have a guide, otherwise you don't know what you are visiting.

The embroidery sold here is so beautiful! It is so lifelike. How can there be such magical craftsmanship?

By ☀Sunny sky🌻 |

I imagined Du Fu Thatched Cottage to be a large thatched house with Du Fu's collection on display. However, the real Du Fu Thatched Cottage is more like a large garden full of bamboos, which looks very pleasant.

By Little C's Husky |

Unlike other scenic spots, there are no annotations and explanations next to them. The road signs are not very obvious, so it is really hard to understand the scenic spots.

By Pandora Mints |

It is a place worth visiting. You can only feel it when you are there. Now I think Du Fu's house is very big and beautiful. Looking back at his time, there might be nothing around him. He was old and who knows how miserable he was. His poetry can be called first-class

By Generous Home |

It's great to go there in the summer. There are lots of plants, water, the temperature is great, and there are not too many people. You can take pictures of birds.

Du Fu Thatched Cottage is not far from Wuhou Temple. It is just a few bus stops away from the entrance of Wuhou Temple. The ticket is 50 yuan. I originally wanted to experience the artistic conception of "It is the beautiful scenery of Jiangnan, and I meet you again in the season of falling flowers", but when I walked in, I found that it was a park. The only highlight was the little tour guide inside, a 6 or 7-year-old child, whose commentary was very clear. I walked around in boredom.

By Dou Xiao Dou Candy |

The electronic guide is not very easy to use. It is recommended to go to the tourist center to hire a human guide. If you want to take a good look but your cultural level is not that high, it is recommended that you follow the guide, which is better, at least you can understand it.

By Moon Over the Sea |

There are guides here, and the guide fee is 10 yuan per person. When you walk into the park, you can see green trees and bamboo forests. It is a very green place. The architectural pattern of Du Fu Thatched Cottage retains the style of the renovation and expansion in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. There are still many precious cultural relics in the museum, and there are not as many tourists as Wuhou Temple.

Following the guide, we visited the thatched cottage, the big hall, the Gongbu Temple, the Shaoling stele pavilion, the flower path and other scenic spots in sequence. At each place, the guide fluently recited Du Fu's poems and then briefly explained them. Among them, we stayed at the thatched cottage for a long time. The thatched cottage is surrounded by bamboo fences and the wooden door is diagonally opposite. Walking into the thatched cottage, there is a window in the room on the west side. Looking out of this broken window is a despair for ordinary people, but in the poet's pen, he wrote beautiful poems that have been passed down through the ages. In the bamboo forest, the thatched cottage in Du Fu's poem is restored, which should be the appearance when it was just built. The wooden door is diagonally opposite the thatched cottage in order to truly restore the description in the poem.

I used my tour guide pass to enter, which saved me some money. I stayed at Du Fu Thatched Cottage until about 6pm. There was a tourist bus at the north gate of the scenic area to Wuhou Temple, which was 3 yuan per person and very convenient.

The ticket is 50 yuan. It is recommended to take the bus (directly to the door). Taking the subway requires walking one kilometer.

It was raining the day I went.

If you don’t want to go back, you can enter from the north gate, take a walk, and exit from the south gate.

The ticket price is 60 yuan, half price for students. The scenic area is not big, but it has a strong historical atmosphere. It is recommended to prepare homework in advance or hire a guide.

The most profound feeling when entering Du Fu Thatched Cottage is the mark left by Du Fu when he was alive. This great poet who was concerned about the country and the people left behind a large number of literary works and poems during the few years he lived in the Thatched Cottage.

After hundreds of years of operation, there are many attractions in Du Fu Thatched Cottage today, but what impressed me most was the Gongbu Temple in the scenic area. The reason why this temple commemorating Du Fu is called Gongbu Temple is entirely because Du Fu once served as the inspector of Gongbu staff as a military advisor.

Time flies. Walking in Du Fu's Thatched Cottage, I feel the tranquility and peace left after the turbulent times.

By Brother Water |

It is also one of the places you must visit when you come to Chengdu, but the scenery is just so-so.

By Jingjing |

At that time, Du Fu lived in a few thatched cottages that were broken by the autumn wind, but now they have been renovated by later generations and are so beautiful! Tall and straight camphor trees, beautiful and well-arranged bamboo forests, small wooden bridges, small ponds, flower paths, red walls, bonsai, poems and paintings... I wonder if I can live such a life when I am old.

By Jiawei |

Towering ancient trees are scattered throughout the courtyard, and the cultural atmosphere is rich. Passing through Du Fu Thatched Cottage is Huanhuaxi Park, which is very large and has a good environment.
