Langzhong Ancient City is one of the four ancient cities. This is my second visit. I feel that the ancient city is still the same as it was eight years ago. It is more lively, cleaner, more standardized, and has more trees. The "Sichuan North Road Office" has been rebuilt and it doesn't have the old flavor. If you have time, it's best to choose good weather and avoid holidays. Accommodation is also cheap and there are few people. The experience is also very good. Eating in the ancient city is about the same as the general county town. If it's your first time, you can buy a ticket for each attraction for 110 yuan. If you don't want to enter the attractions, it is recommended to spend 15 yuan to climb the Huaguang Tower for viewing. It takes half a day to visit the attractions in the ancient city. On the second day, you can go to the Tengwang Pavilion, the Big Buddha Temple in Baita Park and other attractions around the ancient city.

Langzhong Ancient City is one of the four ancient cities in my country. It is located in Nanchong, Sichuan, and has a history of 2,300 years. It was an important military town in ancient times. Langzhong Ancient City has three advantages: 1. Exquisite handicrafts 2. Delicious food 3. Beautiful scenery. Suggestions: 1. It is best to buy a handicraft to put at home, it is really beautiful 2. Eat as much as you can, and be sure to try maocai 3. Be sure to go up to Zhongtian Tower or Huaguang Tower and take a look at the platform, it is really beautiful. If you have done these three points, you will know that Langzhong Ancient City is a place worth visiting.

On the way back to Chengdu from Beijing, we stopped by the ancient city of Langzhong.

The ancient city covers a large area, and the New Year atmosphere is very strong. However, the surrounding parking spaces are not well set up, and the flow of people outside the city is limited. You have to go around a long way to get to the bridge over the Jialing River, and the surrounding parking spaces are very tight. You have to park far away from the ancient city to find a parking space.

There is no need to buy tickets if you only visit the ancient city. We didn’t visit many attractions in the city and only went to Zhongtian Tower.

Specialties of the ancient city: Northern Sichuan jelly, Zhang Fei beef, and foot-bathing vinegar.

There are more vinegar foot baths in the city than those selling vinegar, 10 yuan per session. But you can buy 2 large buckets of foot bath vinegar for 15 yuan. I bought vinegar and took it home to soak, but didn't experience it here.

The food and beverages are quite rich, and there is also a place to drink tea by the river.

Across the Jialing River, you can see the ancient town of Nanjinguan. Jinping Mountain and the White Pagoda on the other side are good places to see the whole picture of the ancient city of Langzhong. However, during the Spring Festival, there is a lantern festival on Jinping Mountain. If you want to go up the mountain, you must buy a lantern festival ticket. Even during the day, ordinary tickets are not sold. So it is recommended to go to the White Pagoda, but it is much farther away. The ancient city, the Jialing River and the other side form the shape of a Bagua diagram, so there is also a museum about Feng Shui here.

There are some slightly better inns here, which cost more than 100 or 200 yuan. We stayed in an ordinary one, which only cost 90 yuan for a room for 3 people, and it had everything you need.

I came here for the slogan "I'm waiting for you in Langzhong"~ I spent one night and two days to experience this ancient town, the birthplace of the 2,400-year-old Spring Festival. Now the high-speed rail can go directly to Langzhong, which is more convenient, but we flew to Mianyang, and the only way from Mianyang to Langzhong is by bus (bus tickets can be purchased online). I thought Langzhong was a small county town surrounding the ancient town of Langzhong, but I didn't expect Langzhong itself to be very large. I took a taxi to Zhuangyuanfang and walked in. The ancient town itself does not charge admission tickets, and you can buy tickets for the attractions separately or in a package for about 120 yuan. According to my observation, the only place worth visiting is Guanghua Tower, which costs 20 yuan. It is a historical site and you can take pictures of the river and the ancient town. Other places like Gongyuan Hanhenghou are difficult to understand the humanities and history without explanations, and there is nothing to see if you just take a quick look. Langzhong is known as one of the four ancient towns (Lijiang, Pingyao, and Shexian). Although the ancient towns are similar and have a strong commercial atmosphere, Langzhong always feels surrounded by a faint fairy air. It is not as noisy as Lijiang, but cleaner than Pingyao. There are many local residents in the town who are very down-to-earth. The old people playing cards in the sun on the square look like what an ancient town should look like. Especially at night, the street near Lijia Inn on the riverside is very similar to Kyoto's Kawahara-cho Shijo. How long is life when we drink and sing? For food, Lijia and Huajiantang are recommended. There is a breakfast stall to the east of the square. You must try the oil tea Sanzi. The accommodation is up to you. We stayed at Huajiantang Langyuan and it felt good.

The well-preserved ancient city has beautiful landscapes and ancient vicissitudes. Zhang Fei's shrine and tomb are important historical sites of the Three Kingdoms. The examination hall is one of the few imperial examination halls in the city that has been preserved to this day. There are also a series of red relics. The main commercial street is crowded with people and has a strong commercial atmosphere, but you can find old alleys that are rarely visited by tourists, quiet and full of life at a turn.

One of its characteristics is that the Feng Shui ancient city is surrounded by mountains on all sides and water on three sides. Climbing up to the gray roof of the ancient house in Zhongtian Tower, there is a deep and exquisite feeling of the layers upon layers.

The second is the holy land of imperial examinations, where we visited "Sichuan North Road, Confucian Temple, and Gongyuan".

The third is the origin of the Spring Festival, the fourth is the legacy of the Three Kingdoms, and the fifth is to feel the folk customs of the ancient city and taste Langzhong cuisine.

But the most regrettable thing is that the complete ancient city wall and four city gates were demolished in the early 1980s. Now the south city wall and the south gate have been restored.

There is no unified ticket for the Langzhong Ancient City scenic area, but each small attraction charges its own fee.

The ancient town is suitable for a quick tour. There are people selling braised pork (very fragrant), beef, vinegar, and snacks all over the street. There are also fish massages. The retro attic is a homestay where residents can experience it.

The Three Kingdoms culture represented by the Han Huanhou Temple (Zhang Fei Temple), the religious culture represented by the Yuntai Temple, the Dafo Temple, the Yong'an Temple, the Baba Temple, the Gospel Hall, and the Catholic Church, the imperial examination culture represented by the Gongyuan, and the folk culture represented by the Bayu dance, shadow puppetry, northern Sichuan lantern opera, bright flower shoes, paper-cutting and other arts complement each other, and the ancient city is known as "a model of harmonious development of multiple cultures."

There are four ancient cities in China, namely Pingyao Ancient City in Shanxi, Langzhong Ancient City in Sichuan, Shexian Ancient City in Anhui and Lijiang Ancient City in Yunnan. However, the biggest feature of ancient cities in China is that they are not worthy of their names. If you don't want to check in and see the crowds, it is not recommended to come, especially not during holidays.

Nanjinguan is free during normal times, but it costs 20 yuan for a temple fair during the Spring Festival. Cuiping Mountain is 25 yuan during normal times, but it costs 58 yuan for a few rotten lanterns. The key is that they are all bundled consumption, you can't miss it. It's really ugly. It's called one of the four ancient cities, but it can't compare with the other three.

The most memorable dish in the ancient city is the beef with tofu. The beef is soft but not hard and chewy, and the tofu is tender and smooth. A piece of beef and two bites of tofu are just the right amount of salty and light.

By the way, be sure to use a colander to scoop it out, which can not only prevent the chopsticks from crushing the tofu pudding, but also drain the oil, making it more complete and healthier to eat.

The ancient city of Langzhong has basically maintained its original appearance. The ancient city you see now looks a bit new, and some people think it is an imitation of antique buildings. In fact, there are some misunderstandings, because the houses in the past would be weathered and aged if they were not repainted. In fact, they are still the original buildings, but they have to be repaired and look a bit new. The Sichuan North Daotai, Confucian Temple, and Zhongtian Tower in the ancient city were restored later. Some courtyards were renovated on the original basis. Only the street at the bottom next to the Jialing River was restored later, and the rest of the streets are almost all left over from the past. The modern buildings near the ancient city used to be the ancient city, but they were demolished in some special historical periods, leaving only the current part.

Very nice place, not too commercial

Langzhong Ancient City is a relatively well-preserved ancient city. If you want to get to know the ancient city better, it is recommended to stay in the ancient city. I chose Huajiantang Langyuan Hotel because its antique architectural style matches the ancient city very well. It was a house of a wealthy family in Langzhong before. The environment inside is very good and very quiet. It's just a little expensive. Attractions in Langzhong Ancient City, such as Zhongxuan Tower, are must-visit places, and you must also climb up the Zhongxuan Tower, from which you can see the layout of the entire Langzhong Ancient City with a great view; the second are the North Sichuan Dao Office, Gongyuan and Han Huanhou Temple (Zhang Fei Temple), these places with a strong historical atmosphere, there is a convoy of Zhang Fei patrolling the city around 9 am, and there is a prisoner trial performance at the North Sichuan Dao Office around 11:00 am; there are also many places selling specialties and snacks in the ancient city, such as Langzhong's beef and vinegar, and the recommended snack is North Sichuan jelly; of course, I think the most not to be missed is the night view of Langzhong, the night view of the ancient city is really beautiful, the lights of the Zhongxuan Tower at night will show different colors, there are also water stage performances at the Nanjinguan Wharf, etc. Generally speaking, if you can slow down the pace in the ancient city, slowly appreciate and savor each place, it will definitely feel good.

The doors of the shops in the ancient city are still the kind of door panels that need to be taken down one by one, which is very simple. There are not many tourists in the ancient city. People who like quietness can carefully experience the life of this ancient city. Langzhong Ancient City is located on the beautiful Jialing River, and the scenery is beautiful during the day.

I went there in 2016. It's a good place and worth a visit.

Some attractions require tickets, but the ancient city does not.

I personally think that Langzhong Ancient City is worth a visit, with a lot of cultural heritage. Although most of the shops facing the street have been renovated or modernized, most of the "middle courtyards" and "backyards" have maintained their original historical appearance or have been restored to their original appearance (many shops are divided into front yards, middle yards, and backyards). Most of the shops are decorated in a very stylish way, with tasteful embellishments, making people feel comfortable, romantic, and warm. The key is that after visiting dozens of shops or courtyards, the people are very friendly and enthusiastic, and I have to give a special thumbs up!

Langzhong Ancient City is not like some ancient towns or streets, which are basically full of shops for eating, drinking and having fun. It also has historical sites such as Zhang Fei Temple, Gongyuan, and the Eighth Route Army Headquarters. The front yard of its shops may sell handicrafts or handmade winnowing baskets, bamboo products, or it may be a dessert shop. The middle and back yards may be homestays or restaurants. The transition between the front, middle and back is very natural and harmonious. Don't be fooled by the appearance of the shops, the inside is very beautiful or very stylish.

There are many inns or homestays in the ancient city. Friends who drive here can park their cars in a parking space not far from the gate of Langzhong Ancient City (200 meters away from the gate, there are many parking spaces on both sides of the road, and it is free of charge), and then walk into the ancient city.

Moreover, the food in Langzhong is not expensive and delicious. At noon, we had a meal at a restaurant in the ancient city. We had tofu beef, salted chicken (I don’t remember the name of the dish), lettuce beef tendon, side dishes, and rice. It only cost 168 yuan for 6 people. The tofu beef was especially delicious! This was in the center of the ancient city, unlike some restaurants in scenic spots, which are frighteningly expensive.

I have been to Zhenyuan Ancient Town, Fenghuang Ancient Town, Wuzhen, Heshun Ancient Town, Xitang, and Ciqikou. I think Langzhong is the best. There is a difference between an ancient town and an ancient city.

This ancient city is basically full of vendors. We bought beef jerky, cowhide candy, rose slices, small twisted dough sticks and other souvenirs. We also bought a set of ancient costumes and shoes for the children. My daughter was very happy and kept showing off. My usually frugal mother also bought a Ruyi skirt, saying that skirts here are cheap. I walked around and found that the things sold in this ancient city are not expensive, the prices are relatively authentic, and the snacks are delicious, which is worth the money.

As for the tourism in Langzhong, I was quite disappointed. It was not as good as I heard. Huaguang Tower was under renovation, Zhongtian Tower was a standard ancient building, Gongyuan was nothing amazing, and the Sichuan North Road Office was all rebuilt. On the contrary, Zhang Fei Temple made me learn something new - it turned out that Zhang Fei was also a cultured person, and his handwriting was very good, but he had a bad temper, and he didn't learn Sichuan dialect well (I didn't make it clear whether to say Bai or Bai), which eventually led to his body and head being separated. In general, my evaluation of Langzhong is: you will regret it if you don't come, and you may not regret it if you come. If it's not on the way, you can come or not!

The best ancient town to live in! I've been to Lijiang and Dali. Compared to these two, Langzhong is not so overly commercialized. It has a strong atmosphere of life (maybe it was not a holiday when I went there), and the prices are also very cheap. The tofu and vegetable soup is 6 soft! The inn is an ancient courtyard, and there are many X-family courtyards. You might run into your surname. There is an inconspicuous potato chip shop near Zhongtian Building. I strongly recommend it! Opposite is a time-honored restaurant, and next door is a postcard shop with a mailbox? (Forgive me for not looking at the name of the store, I was purely attracted by the smell) It's super delicious, and there is zheergen in the seasoning (if you don't eat it, you can leave it out). If you want to go to Gongyuan and Zhangfei Temple, I strongly recommend buying a 120RMB pass, which is very cost-effective (I didn't plan well and stupidly bought tickets when I walked to the scenic spot (T＿T), which is much more expensive than the pass). Finally, I want to say that there are so many cats in the ancient town! It's a pity that I can only upload ten photos. It's super cool to pet cats!

I came here because of its reputation. Due to tight schedule, I only stayed for 1 and a half days. It was okay to stroll around the old streets of the ancient city. It was quite quiet at night, so it was nice to sit in a pub on the street and have a drink.

For me, the ancient town of Langzhong uniquely possesses the carefree feeling of the martial arts world described in martial arts novels.

The streets are paved with large uneven stones. On both sides of the streets are quaint old houses, inns, courtyards, shops... The relationship between people is just right, warm and friendly but not too interfering. When they see tourists on the roadside, they will warmly invite you to have a cup of tea or soak your feet, but when there are no businessmen, they are leisurely and comfortable, sometimes playing chess, sometimes sipping tea and chatting. It has a very light commercial atmosphere, but a strong living atmosphere, lazy but not without sentiment.

You will involuntarily slow down the pace of life and enjoy the laziness emanating from this town. Laziness is not decadence, but a sense of comfort that is most suitable for life.

Wandering in the streets of the ancient town late at night, seeing the closed or half-open wooden doors, looking at the wooden plaques on the doors, it seems that in an instant you can be taken to that amazing, thrilling, dreamlike, and shocking world of rivers and lakes.

The ancient town of Langzhong at night has a special magic, a power that makes people become gentle and calm unconsciously. It is different from the chanting sound coming from the ancient European churches, but a special atmosphere emanating from the white pebbles, bluestone walls, and wooden window edges.

There is a huge difference between the Langzhong Ancient Town in the morning and the Langzhong Ancient Town at night. If it is charming and amorous at night, it is fresh and elegant in the morning, like a summer flower.

The ancient city was sunny in the afternoon (everyone should be well protected from the sun), shining on the quiet bluestone road, showing a peaceful and peaceful appearance. One of the specialties of Langzhong Ancient City is vinegar. Walking on the street, you can see shops selling vinegar everywhere. The smell of vinegar is really strong, and you can smell it just by passing by. After turning a few streets, we saw Huaguang Tower, one of the major attractions in the ancient city. We didn't go upstairs but just took some photos below, but the view of the ancient city from the tower is still very good. There are really many tourists during the May Day holiday, but the whole ancient city still looks very neat and clean. Just leisurely walking on the streets of the ancient city, quietly experiencing this leisure and quiet time, the whole person seems to be quiet. Hahaha, it can be said that I stole half a day of leisure. Upload a few photos. There is a very famous courtyard, which is said to be a tourist attraction. I wanted to go in as a tourist, but I was told that I couldn't come in if I was not a tenant, so I had to stand outside and take two photos. It seems that the yard is still very quiet, with dense shade from the trees, and there should be a different world.

On the way to the river, we passed another building, Zhongtian Building, which seemed to be older.

Langzhong is not bad, the ancient city at night is worth seeing, especially the evening party is not bad. The old taste restaurant at the entrance is good, the taste is very good, the old photo folk hotel is good, the price is reasonable, and the boss is very nice.

A famous Feng Shui city with rich cultural heritage and unique cultural landscape

Nanchong City is located in the northeast of Sichuan Province and the middle reaches of the Jialing River. It is named because it is located in the southern part of Chong State. It has a long history. It originated from Anhan established by Emperor Gaozu of the Han Dynasty in 202 BC. It has been built for more than 2,200 years. I rented a car from Chengdu and stayed here for one night. It felt very similar to other ancient cities. The beef was average and a bit dry. The three unique dishes of Langyuan were still very good. There are snack bars all over the city. The food is basically the same. Beef and vinegar can be seen everywhere.

The ancient city of Langzhong has hardly been commercialized. The 100-yuan ticket is for a newly built attraction in the ancient city and is not worth a visit. Middle-aged women dancing square dances can be seen everywhere on the streets of the ancient city. The most noteworthy thing is the Zhang Fei Temple - the Temple of Han Huanhou, where Zhang Fei's body is buried in Langzhong, Sichuan, and his head is buried in Yunyang, Chongqing. There is also Zhang Fei beef, Baoning vinegar, and the Baoning Vinegar Cultural Park in the ancient city of Langzhong that you can visit.

When I came out of the scenic area at 16:00, I encountered 3 accidents caused by out-of-town cars turning around! It was jammed again and again, and I finally arrived at the highway exit at 17:45! The official emergency plan was right, but out-of-towners were not familiar with the road conditions, which caused a traffic jam in the whole city. Every intersection was jammed! Very depressed.

Love it! The ancient city here can't wait for the loneliness of waiting for a romantic encounter, but can only see the New Year customs of perming hair and holding wintersweet. I have been to too many ancient towns, from south to north, from east to west, and finally feel that the wind of ancient town integration has not blown here.
