Munigou is a new scenic spot in Huanglong Scenic Area. Its large and small lakes can rival the Jiuzhaigou colorful pools, and its calcified pool waterfall can compete with Huanglong's "Yaochi" for glory.
Munigou not only has magnificent natural scenery, but also has a strong religious and cultural atmosphere, where Tibetan Buddhism is integrated with natural beauty.
When visiting the Erdaohai Scenic Area, you must follow the "left-hand principle": after entering the scenic area gate, go up the road on the left, and then go left when walking back to the highest point.

Munigou Scenic Area is similar to Jiuzhaigou. You can see colorful water and high and low waterfalls. Because it is not as famous as Jiuzhaigou, fewer people go there. When we were there, there were only a few people. It is very good and recommended to everyone.
I only went to the Zaga Waterfall Scenic Area, which is unique, with a large travertine waterfall. The travertine in the water seemed to have just grown out. It is just a little inferior to Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong.
It is not worse than Jiuzhaigou, and it is a place worth visiting, but transportation is a problem.
If you can't go up Huanglong Mountain, you can go to Munigou, the scenery is worse than Huanglong Mountain
Jiuzhaigou is closed, Huanglong is closed for conservation, but Munigou is still open. Friends may come and see the winter scenery.
How can I put it! I'd regret not going there, but I'd also regret going there. It's such a tangled place, hahahaha~ But I don't recommend going there in winter
The Munigou Scenic Area consists of two scenic areas, Zaga Waterfall and Erdaohai. These two scenic spots are relatively independent. The parking lots of the two scenic spots are 20km apart. It is best to drive to visit by yourself. The ticket price is 70 yuan each, and the package ticket of the two scenic spots is 100 yuan. The student ticket is half price. After buying a ticket at the Zaga Waterfall ticket office, you need to continue driving to the Zaga Scenic Area parking lot. Parking is free. There are two parking lots, and the parking lots are also large. The entrance to the scenic area is designed to be in the first parking lot, and the second parking lot is the exit. The two parking lots are 200 meters apart. It is recommended to enter the trail from the entrance of the first parking lot for a better visual effect. If you don’t want to waste more time, enter from the exit of the second parking lot. You will soon arrive in front of the Zaga Waterfall. The entire scenic area is actually built around this attraction. After seeing the waterfall, you can return the same way. 20 minutes is enough. The parking lot of Erdaohai is very small. Today, the car could not be parked. It was parked on the side of the road 1 km away from the parking lot. It was almost four o'clock when we came from Zhaga Waterfall. There were many people leaving the scenic area, and we could barely drive to the parking lot of the scenic area. The gate of Erdaohai was also very small and not classy. The tour route was completed in one circle. If you want to complete the whole tour, you have to walk to the hot spring and Niubi Spring to get there. It took exactly two and a half hours to take photos and walk all the way. Of course, you can also go down the mountain after seeing Erdaohai. It will take less than two hours to complete the tour, which is equivalent to a large and small circle tour. The scenery of Erdaohai is good and worth a visit. If you only choose one scenic spot, it is undoubtedly Erdaohai. It is more conscientious that there is no transportation bus and no parking fee in the entire scenic area. Otherwise, the transfer bus is not paid by tourists.
The package includes Zhaga Waterfall and Erdaohai Scenic Area. The discounted price is 100 yuan. It is highly recommended. The above scenery was taken on October 4th. There were few people and the scenery was so beautiful.
Erdaohai is very worth visiting. The water in the pool is no worse than that in Jiuzhaigou.
On the way from Wenchuan to Songpan, you have to pass the Munigou Scenic Area, which is divided into Erdaohai and Zhaga Waterfall. I went there 12 years ago. The ticket price is the same as it was 12 years ago. The ticket price is very reasonable. The combined ticket for the two attractions is 100 yuan, which is more convenient for friends who drive by themselves. The two attractions are about 10 kilometers apart. It is a very worthwhile small attraction. After going here, I didn't go to Huanglong and Jiuzhaigou. Maybe it's because I miss this place, so I took my family to go there.
I went with a tour group in the off-season because Huanglong was not open yet, so the scenic spot in the group was Munigou. The first scenic spot on the route to Jiuzhaigou was a long-day car ride and I was very tired. I was very satisfied when I got off the car and saw these scenery.
The scenery of Jiuzhaigou-Huanglong is beyond words. It is really beyond words. No one who goes there will regret it. But the road is too dangerous, with mudslides, landslides, and earthquakes.
I went there on the way back to Chengdu. The scenery was average. Some places are not accessible in winter.
Huanglong is not open yet, so we went to Munigou first. Munigou Scenic Area is located in Muni Township, Songpan County. The highest altitude is 4070 meters, and the annual average temperature is about 4 degrees. It had just snowed when we arrived, and the trees in the scenic area were dense and covered in silver. The calcified pool waterfall either cascades down from the trees or hangs in a white silk curtain, and its magnificence is comparable to the "Yaochi" in Huanglong.
I chose this place because I didn’t go to Huanglong. It is said to be the sister scenic spot of Huanglong, and its calcified waterfall is the most famous!
The beautiful Munigou, although not very famous, is very distinctive.
Munigou in autumn is nice and worth a visit
It's very quiet, especially after coming down from Jiuzhaigou Huanglong, there are suddenly fewer people, it's very enjoyable, there is a small waterfall
The Munigou Scenic Area actually includes many scenic spots. Due to limited time, we only went to the most famous attraction, the Zaga Waterfall. The travertine waterfall cascaded down. Although it was not the flood season yet, it was already very shocking.
Munigou is located in Songpan County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, covering an area of 160 square kilometers, with the highest altitude of 4070 meters and the lowest altitude of 2800 meters. The annual average temperature is 7℃. It has charming natural scenery, rich ethnic customs, and the charm of primitive forests. The scenery of Munigou is mainly characterized by primitive forests, alpine lakes, hot springs, giant calcified waterfalls, circular waterfalls, and calcified colored pools. The scenic area consists of Zhaga Waterfall and Erdaohai. Mountains, water, and forests are cleverly integrated here. The main attractions are: Zhaga Waterfall, Muni Forest, Hundred Mu Rhododendron, Emerald Hot Spring, Baihua Lake, Moon Lake, Swan Lake and Cave Group. Personally, I feel that the biggest feature here is the waterfall. The stepped waterfall and Zhaga Waterfall are very beautiful.
After leaving Jiuzhaigou, I went to Munigou. Munigou is divided into Zaga Waterfall and Erdaohai. There were not many people when I went there. The scenic area charges 70 yuan. The scenic area is mainly for viewing waterfalls. It takes some physical strength to visit the top of the waterfall. The scenery is slightly inferior to Jiuzhaigou. In fact, after visiting Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong, it is not worth coming here.
We walked slowly for more than an hour and the scenery was pretty good. The scenic area was a little smaller than expected, but if you were a fast walker you could probably finish the tour in half an hour. Overall it was pretty good.
The scenery is OK, the scenic area is relatively small, very suitable for a quiet trip
I thought Munigou was a big scenic spot, but it turned out to be just a waterfall halfway up the mountain, where you can spend half an hour taking photos. There is another one at the top of the mountain, but a large part of the scenic spot is closed in winter.
I only saw the waterfall, but there were few people. It was quite cold in winter.
It's very cold here. My hands are frozen, red and swollen. My phone has altitude sickness and shuts down automatically when the battery level drops below 30%. Bring a camera with you. The scenic area is not big but the scenery is nice.
If you travel with a tour group, you will come to this small scenic spot before Jiuzhaigou. It will be amazing when you first see it, but after you arrive in Jiuzhaigou, you will feel that this attraction is useless.
The scenic area is two different places, the scenery is beautiful
From Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou, a stop on the way
Because we went there in winter, the waterfalls were frozen, which was quite a surprise.
The Munigou Zhaga Waterfall in winter still has its beauty~~ a touch of clear spring, watering the people
The main color of Munigou is yellow. It was a sunny day after snow when I went there. It was very beautiful and worth a visit. I went with a tour group, so I don't know the route very well. The recommended time for visiting this attraction is 1 hour. The toilets in the scenic area are really...
Actually, we went to Munigou on the way to Jiuzhaigou. The altitude is not too high and the space is not too big, but the scenery is so beautiful. Just based on this picture, it’s worth it!
It's worth seeing, each season has different beauty.
Munigou is located in Songpan County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, more than 300 kilometers away from Chengdu, covering an area of 160 square kilometers. The highest altitude is 4,070 meters and the lowest altitude is 2,800 meters. The scenery is mainly characterized by primitive forests, alpine lakes, hot springs, giant travertine waterfalls, circular waterfalls, and travertine pools. The scenic area consists of two parts: Zaga Waterfall and Erdaohai.
We visited Zhaga Waterfall and arrived at Zhaga Waterfall at around 14:20. The tour guide gave us 40 minutes. As soon as we got off the car, I felt a little dizzy. The altitude here is about 3,400 meters. However, when I saw the flying snowflakes and the ice and snow on the ground, my excited heart didn't care about my brain. The tour guide told us to walk along the plank road after entering the scenic area, and the end point was Zhaga Waterfall. He said that if we walked fast, we could go back and forth in 15 minutes.
Originally, this scenic spot was just an episode before visiting Jiuzhaigou, but the scenery was so amazing, especially the ice and snow and calcified pools, which can really compete with the "Yaochi" in Huanglong. In fact, the Zaga Waterfall in winter is the most beautiful time of the year. If you want to fully visit this scenic spot, you need half a day, and the ticket price is 70 yuan. Because the transportation in the scenic spot is inconvenient, most tourists come in tour groups. Self-guided tours generally require chartering a car in Songpan County.
There is only one road leading into the scenic area, which is not long. If you walk faster, you can reach the viewing platform in 10 minutes. However, we took pictures while playing in the snow along the way, and the charming scenery slowed down our pace. It took us 10 minutes longer to reach the viewing platform. Looking up, this highest calcified waterfall in China is completely frozen, which is more shocking than the splashing rapids. It was the first time I saw a frozen waterfall. There were tiny snowflakes flying in the sky, forests, white snow, streams, blue ice, and calcified fossils, which formed this magnificent fantasy scenery, which reminded me of the ice and snow kingdom of Narnia.
It's a very quiet place, nice to sit for a while or take pictures in the snow, after all, there is little snow in the south.
It was the dry season when I went to the place called Little Jiuzhaigou. It didn't seem as beautiful as the legend said.
In winter, only the Zaga Waterfall is open in Munigou, and the Erdaohai is closed. The scenery of Zaga Waterfall is still inferior in winter. The ticket price of 70 yuan (only 80 yuan in Jiuzhaigou) is not cost-effective. Compared with the scenery inside the valley, the scenery on the way into the valley is better! If you are going to Jiuzhaigou, you can actually ignore this place!
Compared with Jiuzhaigou, Munigou is much less popular, so not many people go there. I didn't see any tourist buses. Everyone drove by themselves, and the road was easy to walk on. The scenery in the scenic area is nice. Walking on the wooden plank road, the river flows from both sides, very fast, and many trees grow in the water. At the end of the road is the famous Zaga Waterfall, with a large water flow, very shocking, and the wooden plank road leads all the way to the top of the waterfall. Those who are physically fit can climb up to find out!
It's very beautiful. It's comfortable to walk slowly on the wooden plank road and look around.
We went to Munigou first and found it amazing. After going to Jiuzhaigou, we knew what it meant to be "a small place compared to a big place"! So, if you want to go to Munigou, you must go there first!
The biggest surprise in the trip to western Sichuan! I changed my itinerary on a whim and went to see the non-mainstream Munigou Scenic Area, known as the Little Jiuzhaigou, because there were fewer people. When I came here yesterday, I saw the entrance to the scenic area near Liudaowan. I was a little worried about the sharp bends with a large drop in rainy days. Safety is extremely important when driving by yourself. However, the civil servants in Songpan County did some practical work. It is estimated that a lot of money was spent on road construction during the 4 trillion yuan period. I don’t know if it can be used, but it is really reliable to have a separate road to Munigou! It avoids the six bends, and there are few cars going back and forth. It is too rare in the peak tourist season. In the morning, I was still wearing a long skirt and was reminded by a kind-looking Tibetan sister at the entrance of the ditch, "Do you bring a cotton jacket? It’s snowing." It snowed in August, and it was heavy snow. I really made a profit today. While hiding in the car and putting on all the belongings I brought, I was secretly worried that I would not be able to get out. Before getting off the car, I grabbed a piece of barley cake that I bought early in the morning and secretly stuffed it into my bag. I was afraid that my colleagues would scold me and say that I was moving [tears]. Tibetans call everything big a lake. Large grass is called the sea of grass, large flowers are called the sea of flowers, and the rare small ponds on the plateau are called various nice-sounding seas, such as the Swan Sea, the Sea of Suhua, the Sea of Tranquility, and the Hot Spring Sea. The two largest ones are named the First Sea and the Second Sea, which I don’t know why I suddenly associate them with the first dish of Liuhe [sinister]. Don’t let the locals know about such a weird idea that spoils the scenery. In the history of the Tang Dynasty, it is often seen that the Han army withdrew their troops after September and did not fight until the next year. I guess it was because of the unreliable weather in Tibet. I walked all the way, and it took three hours to walk a short 5.6 kilometers. Although there was a wooden plank road, the altitude sickness still made it difficult to walk. The heavy snow bent the trees on both sides of the road and formed beautiful ice flowers on the pine branches. The blue-green lake with different shades also has a different charm against the backdrop of the falling snowflakes. The key is the tranquility. Although you are not the only one walking in it, you can stop and have a cup of hot tea. Someone 🐷 is looking forward to having such a primeval forest behind our house... Before he can finish his words, I interrupted him and said that it would be easy. Sell the house in Nanjing and buy a Tibetan house at the mouth of the ditch so that you can go up the mountain at any time. "That won't work. You can't receive any information." Haha, people are not free because they can't let go [snicker]
Munigou is divided into two scenic areas, Zaga Waterfall and Erdaohai. Zaga Waterfall is a bit like Huanglong, while Erdaohai is like Jiuzhaigou.
All along the way are withered and yellow wild grasses, which have agreed to grow old together in autumn. The wild wind refuses to stop in the anxious valley, leaving traces of autumn in the mottled fallen leaves.
The water in the scenic area is very clear, 70 silver per person, really ordinary scenery. On the way to the scenic area, there are beautiful scenery everywhere, goats everywhere, wild flowers blooming
Actually, I have seen Songpinggou before. It is similar to this one, but it still brings me a lot of surprises. I saw gophers, which are super cute. Then we took a lot of beautiful photos of the primeval forest, which was also beautiful.
Overall it's pretty good. Although it's a small attraction, it's still quite unique for people like me who live in an ancient town~
The altitude of Munigou is about 3,000 meters. At this time, the OP's headache and weakness are already obvious.
My legs felt weak when climbing the stairs. With the help of my little Haozi, I walked for half my life. Ding ding~~ the legendary Munigou
Give me back my momentum, like a mountain torrent, rushing down! ! Bad review!
This scene is average, young people can visit here
It is not recommended to bring children and the elderly here, as high altitude exercise can easily cause altitude sickness.
The ticket to Munigou is 70 yuan. Actually, there is nothing to see. When I looked at it, I saw the frozen, yellow waterfall. I didn't want to look at it. I walked around casually and found a fork on the right. I could go down and finally saw some water emitting clear green light. All the way down, the water was amazing for a while when I first saw it, and there was no other feeling.
Munigou. After getting off the bus, I saw snow on the roadside. I was excited. Please forgive the children in the warm south who have never seen snow.
It was sunny outside, but it was very cold inside the scenic area.
Munigou is not interesting. The scenic spot is very small. It only took me one hour to go from entering to exiting the ditch. I think it is just a river flowing from the mountain. But after all, it is a project in the tour group and there is no need to spend money. If you are a friend who wants to spend money to visit Munigou, I sincerely advise you to give it up.
There are two scenic spots in Munigou, Zaga Waterfall Scenic Spot and Erdaohai Scenic Spot. Zaga Waterfall is the largest travertine waterfall in Asia. I think it should be 10 stories high. Haha, living in a concrete jungle with children, the only explanation for height is to use buildings. We climbed up the waterfall along the wooden plank road. The water volume is huge. It is also spectacular when looking down from above.
Munigou, the largest travertine waterfall in China.
The scenic area has subarctic coniferous forest landscape, as well as magical red birch and majestic fir.
It was my first time seeing a waterfall covered in ice and snow, and I felt excited despite the severe cold.
Munigou, because the ice and snow have not completely melted, so the water volume is not very large
Munigou Scenic Area is part of Huanglong Scenic Area. Since Huanglong Scenic Area is closed in winter, only this part is visited. The overall scenery is relatively simple and the colors are not as colorful as Jiuzhaigou, but there are still things to see and it is still worth visiting.
Arriving in Songpan, it was not far from Chuanzhu Temple, so we went in to have a look. The devout monk indicated that we had to turn the prayer wheel once before entering the temple. After thinking of the blessing, we began to turn the prayer wheel counterclockwise. At first, I was just in the mood to play, but as I walked slowly step by step and watched the prayer wheel continue to turn in everyone's hands, I felt a lot of peace in my heart, leaving some wishes in my heart. At this time, there was no worldly complexity, and I no longer thought about some illusory things. I listened to the monks talk about the painting method of Thangka, one flower, one world, and learned the Tibetan Buddhist worship method and received the prayer flags. After leaving Chuanzhu Temple, a heavy rain suddenly came, and we hurried into the car. The altitude reaction made me breathless while running, and the brain was temporarily blank due to the panting. As I thought and recalled, it seemed to be closer to the gods.
Driving on the Duwen Expressway, I felt heavy when I saw the bare mountains on both sides due to the earthquake. When I entered the Munigou Scenic Area, I felt relieved when I saw the green trees, blue sky and white clouds on both sides.
After breakfast, we set out for Munigou. It takes about half an hour to get from Songpan Ancient City to Munigou. Munigou is divided into Erdaohai and Zhaga Waterfall. We first visited Erdaohai. There were very few people. There were about ten people in the entire Erdaohai Scenic Area. The lake water is super green! ! It's unbelievably green! With the surrounding forests, mountains, blue sky, and white clouds, it feels like Windows when you take a photo; Erdaohai can be walked slowly for about two or three hours. There is also a hot spring at the top, but the water temperature is so low that you can't soak your feet~ It takes half an hour to drive from Erdaohai to Zhaga Waterfall. You enter from another gate. Zhaga Waterfall is a side trip and it is also spectacular; the entire Munigou can be walked in about half a day; we got up late, and these two attractions are mostly walking and climbing. There is no sightseeing car, which is relatively tiring
While visiting the Munigou Scenic Area, my son suffered from a little altitude sickness, but the scenery of Munigou still gave us some small surprises.
After seeing the scenery here, I feel that this trip is worth it! Beautiful!! The further you go, the more beautiful it becomes!
The scenic area is not very big and is divided into two parts. There are not many tourists and the transportation is not very convenient. It is suitable for self-driving or chartering.
Munigou is divided into two sides, one is the waterfall and the other is the lake. We chose the waterfall side, where there were not many tourists. There were small and beautiful waterfalls and vigorous waterfalls, which was nice to relax.
The original itinerary said we were going to Huanglong, but the travel agency changed it to Munigou on the grounds that Huanglong had not started accepting groups yet. I think this is definitely a trap.
There is nothing to see, the big waterfall is more shocking than this.
We only visited Erdaohai Scenic Area. Although the lake in Munigou is not as majestic as the one in Jiuzhaigou, it has the beauty of a small jade. The water is clear and there are not many tourists. The quiet and profound feeling is as if you are in a fairyland of Qiong Yao...
Munigou is part of Huanglong Scenic Area, including two scenic spots, Zhaga Waterfall and Erdaohai. Erdaohai is at the end of Munigou, separated from Zhaga Waterfall by only one mountain, but it still feels quite far if you really walk there, about half an hour's drive. There are ticket offices for both scenic spots. If you want to visit both scenic spots, it is more cost-effective to buy a package ticket. The peak season package ticket is 100 yuan, and the price of buying a single scenic spot is 70 yuan. We chose the package ticket.
I don't know if it's because we came too early or because Jiuzhaigou is too famous, but Munigou is obviously less popular than Jiuzhaigou. There were no tourists in the scenic area, only our group, and it felt like our special tour. We could take whatever pictures we wanted, without any obstruction or interference. In one word: awesome!
Munigou is part of Huanglong Scenic Area, including Zaga Waterfall and Erdaohai. Munigou is obviously not popular enough. There were no tourists in the scenic area, only our group of people, and it felt like our special tour. We could take whatever pictures we wanted, without any obstruction or interference. In one word: cool!
We walked to the deepest waterfall in Munigou. It was really nice when we first saw it! After visiting Huanglong and Jiuzhaigou, I can only say hehe... If I remember correctly, the ticket for Munigou should be 60 yuan. Although it is much cheaper than Huanglong and Jiuzhaigou, it is really expensive for scenic spots. If you have enough time and ammunition (RMB), it is still good to go there. If you are ready to travel on a budget... everyone knows!
We went there at the wrong season. We didn't see any red leaves or snow. My friend even had altitude sickness. Well, we just walked around and breathed some fresh air.
We decided to go to Munigou instead. It took us only one hour to get there, and we found that it felt a bit like a small Jiuzhaigou.
I came here when I was in grade 6 and went to Jiuzhaigou with my dad. When I saw Munigou on the map, I strongly recommended that I come to this place. It also feels like a small Jiuzhaigou.
Munigou is obviously not a tourist hotspot. On the mountain road to Munigou, there are basically no cars. Since it hasn't rained for a long time when we went there, the lake halfway up the mountain has dried up, but you can still see its beautiful scenery.
Munigou is actually a forest, and there is a small waterfall when you climb up the forest. However, it is undeniable that the water is very clear and cool.
Munigou is located in Songpan, which is the ancient Tubo Kingdom and the place where Princess Wencheng passed through when she entered Tibet... As a subsidiary scenic spot of Huanglong Scenic Area, it is mainly composed of Zhaga Waterfall and Erdaohai. When we went there, it was not the most beautiful time. The water volume of the waterfall was not large and the trees were still dry, but it was enough to make people happy and satisfied.
Munigou: With the backdrop of the snow-capped peaks, the majestic mountains create a depression with dotted villages dotted in it. With sutra flags fluttering and breeze blowing, it feels like traveling through a tranquil place!
Munigou is located in Songpan County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, a national 4A-level tourist scenic spot, more than 200 kilometers away from Chengdu.
The Munigou Scenic Area is about 3,000 meters above sea level. Its landscape features primitive forests, alpine lakes, waterfalls, hot springs, and calcified pools. Mountains, water, and forests are harmoniously integrated. The Munigou Scenic Area consists of two parts: the Zaga Waterfall Scenic Area and the Erdaohai Scenic Area, which are more than ten kilometers apart.
A few dozen kilometers away, there are top scenic spots such as Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong Scenic Area. In fact, there is no need to compare them, let alone add something like Little Jiuzhaigou. Jiuzhaigou is Jiuzhaigou, unique. And Munigou is Munigou, an unpopular scenic spot hidden in the mountains, primitive and quiet, with few people and beautiful scenery. In Munigou, people can quietly and freely experience nature up close.
Munigou includes the Zaga Waterfall Scenic Area and the Erdaohai Scenic Area. You don't need to change to the scenic area bus, you can drive directly into the scenic area. You don't have to worry about queuing. The tickets are 70 yuan each, and the total price for a combined ticket is 100 yuan.
The Zhaga Waterfall Scenic Area and the Erdaohai Scenic Area take approximately 2 hours and 3-4 hours to visit respectively.
The Munigou Zhaga Waterfall Scenic Area was developed earlier than Erdaohai. Usually when people talk about Munigou, they generally refer to the Zhaga Waterfall Scenic Area, while Munigou Erdaohai is only called Erdaohai Scenic Area.
At present, it is more suitable to visit the two scenic spots of Munigou by self-driving. Although it is only a dozen kilometers away from Songpan County, it is too unpopular and public transportation is not very convenient.
