On the top is a sacred bird, the Vermillion Bird, which represents the south, and the south is associated with fire, indicating the worship of the sun; the branch is a statue of the Queen Mother of the West, Taoism was prevalent in the Han Dynasty, and people hoped to become immortals after death.
At first, I came to Sanxingdui because of the Tomb Robbers' Chronicles and my habit of visiting museums. After I came here, I felt it was really good. We chartered a car and went to the panda base in the morning. At noon, we went to Guanghan city to eat some snacks and then came to the museum. It took more than half an hour to get there. It was very fast. You must ask for a manual explanation! ! ! ! After seeing it, I felt that I was not satisfied. I wanted to see the original site of the 1.2 sacrificial pits and the last Sanxingdui. Because the driver of the chartered car was very good, we went to see the original excavation site and saw a large rapeseed field. I felt that after seeing the excavation site, I felt a sense of completion.
The Sanxingdui ruins are the largest, longest-lasting and most culturally rich ancient Shu cultural site discovered in the southwest region so far. The Sanxingdui ruins date back to 4,800 to 3,200 years ago, and mainly experienced the three emperors of the ancient Shu Kingdom, Cancong, Baiguan and Yufu.
The finale of the comprehensive museum is the famous national treasure bronze sacred tree, which is 3.96 meters high and 3.84 meters high. It is the largest bronze artifact in the world. The base of the sacred tree is a peculiarly shaped dragon, with the head of the dragon at the bottom and the body of the dragon leaning against the sacred tree. The main body of the sacred tree is divided into three layers, each layer has three branches, and each branch has fine branches. There is a sacred bird on each branch, a total of nine birds standing on it. It is worth mentioning that since the top of the sacred tree has been damaged and has not been repaired, it is still unclear what the missing top is.
After leaving the comprehensive hall, you can walk to the Bronze Hall. The famous bronze statues are on display here. Even if you have never been to Sanxingdui, you must be very familiar with this mask. Before the discovery of Sanxingdui, people generally believed that the Chinese worship of puppets began with the introduction of Buddhism, but the discovery of Sanxingdui broke this conclusion. The huge mask is a ritual vessel for sacrifice, hung in the temple for believers to worship. The bronze head with vertical eyes is said to represent the legendary clairvoyance and clairaudience.
Among the bronze human heads unearthed in Sanxingdui, only four have gold foil on their faces. The purity of the gold part reaches 85%. After being thinned, it is pasted on the bronze ware with raw lacquer and lime. The shape of the bronze human heads here is completely different from that of the human heads in any area of the Central Plains. Some people even think that they are from another world. These unforgettable bronze human heads have become the cultural symbol of Sanxingdui civilization, representing Sanxingdui going to the world.
Another treasure in the Bronze Museum is the 2.6-meter-high bronze standing figure. Its hands are clearly holding something, but the object was not found during the excavation. By observing that the two hands are not in the same straight line, some scholars speculate that it may be holding ivory.
This bronze sun wheel, which looks like a wheel, has a diameter of about 85 cm. Since its unearthed, there have been many different opinions about its purpose and symbolic meaning. Therefore, it is also one of the most mysterious artifacts unearthed from Sanxingdui. The ancient Shu civilization, like all other agricultural civilizations, worshipped the sun, which brought warmth and light, food and life. In that era when measurement technology was very backward, it was also very difficult to divide the circumference into five precise equal parts. What exactly is the purpose of this bronze sun wheel? Various experts and scholars have given many speculations, such as wheels, shields, torches, furnishings, etc.
This seemingly ordinary bronze chicken is only a dozen centimeters tall, but its highly restored and lifelike features are completely different from most of the bronzes in Sanxingdui that have a strongly exaggerated style. The feather patterns on the bronze chicken are carved very delicately. It is the only one of its kind among the cultural relics unearthed in the entire Sanxingdui.
First, I went to the visitor center to store my bag and buy tickets. Then I found the audio guide on their official account. I spent ten yuan to buy one, which was pretty good! Then I went through security and entered the museum, which was similar to the various exhibition halls in the big park. It was very good! The environment was excellent and it didn't feel like winter at all. I happened to meet the staff rehearsing for the temple fair sacrificial activities during the Chinese New Year, which was also very good. I visited before the New Year and there were few people!
The heavy rain could not stop our curiosity and love for Sanxingdui. In my experience, you must ask a tour guide to explain when visiting a museum, otherwise it is almost a waste of time. Sanxingdui has five national treasures. If you go, you must see them all. The first one: the bronze sacred tree, the second one: the bronze vertical-eyed mask. I also spent 247 yuan to buy a replica of it as a souvenir. The third one: the jade halberd (covered with patterns), the fourth one: the bronze standing man, the fifth one: the golden staff. People who have seen the bronze mask and the golden mask of Sanxingdui will be deeply shocked.
I rented a guide for 10 yuan when I arrived at Sanxingdui. I listened to the explanation of Wuhou Temple on the official account before, but it always crashed. I didn't want to ruin my mood this time, so I rented a guide directly. After using it, I found that the guide explained more than the official account. It seems that my decision was correct. The people of the ancient Shu Kingdom seemed to worship birds. Many bird-shaped bronzes were unearthed in Sanxingdui, and there were bird patterns on other bronzes. The bronze sacred tree inside reminded me of the bronze sacred tree in the Tomb Robbers' Chronicles. I wonder if the inspiration came from here.
You must ask for an interpreter in a museum! Reasons for recommendation: 1. It can be an adventure into an ancient mysterious cultural branch. Unlike the Central Plains culture, which has a history of 5,000 years and requires years of understanding and accumulation, the origin of the ancient Shu culture is unknown, the beliefs are unknown, and it is mysterious but self-contained. One visit is just enough to digest it. 2. If you are lucky enough to encounter a good interpreter, the experience is excellent. This time, the interpreter was narrated by my brother, from an objective perspective, without an excessive sense of superiority or metaphysics. 3. I suspect that Nanpai Sanshu had visited Sanxingdui before writing the book Bronze Tree. 4. The museum has a reasonable streamline design. 5. The snacks at the entrance of the museum are cheap.
Sanxingdui Museum, located in Guanghan City, Sichuan Province, is a large modern thematic site museum in the northeast corner of the Sanxingdui Ruins, a national key cultural relic protection unit. It has four major features: cultural relics, architecture, display, and gardens. The museum's treasures include the bronze sacred tree, the bronze standing figure, the jade halberd for mountain sacrifice, the golden staff, etc. These are all cultural relics that are prohibited from being exhibited outside the country.
Today's focus is Sanxingdui. Due to time constraints, I was planning to give up Sanxingdui. When I wanted to go, I found that I couldn't buy tickets (Sanxingdui tickets can only be booked online through the mini program, and it is very popular now, so it is not easy to book during holidays). But I was pleasantly surprised to find that the night show extended tickets were available during the Mid-Autumn Festival, and I was lucky enough to buy them. It was really a surprise. Sanxingdui is really amazing and is highly recommended!
As for transportation, there is a special bus to Sanxingdui under the Giant Panda Climbing Wall on Chunxi Road. It leaves as soon as it is full, which is quite convenient. In addition, you can also get to the Guangyuan Sanxingdui Museum by high-speed rail or chartered car.
The night show is after 5 o'clock, and there are still not many people. I was able to appreciate the Bashu civilization of 3,000 years ago up close. It can only be said that it is mysterious and shocking. Bronze masks, golden masks, golden scepters, sacred trees, huge bronze figures, steering wheel-like sun wheels, altars, pottery pigs... Each exhibit makes it hard to imagine how they were made thousands of years ago. Many exhibits were newly excavated in 21 and 22 years. I feel that these masks, figures, and utensils are completely different from the Central Plains civilization I have seen before, but are quite similar to the ancient Western civilization. Sanxingdui, everyone may have a different feeling when they come, because it is too mysterious, there are so many unimaginable cultural relics, but there is no written record, the most mysterious and the most bizarre. It is said on the Internet that if Sanxingdui is dug further, Shanhaijing will no longer be a myth.
Sanxingdui shocks people so much that they cannot recover for several days after visiting it. There are so many unsolved mysteries. It has been dormant for thousands of years and shocked the world when it woke up!
"Sleeping for thousands of years, awakening to shock the world", the mysterious ancient Shu civilization. The mini program is reserved 5 days in advance, and the price will increase immediately, so hurry up if you want to see it. From ticket purchase to tour guide rental, you can only pay via WeChat, which is a bad review. It is recommended to take the direct bus to the scenic spot at the entrance of Chunxi Road ifs in the morning to avoid the crowds perfectly.
The exhibition hall construction, exhibition layout, and even lighting are all very attentive. The exhibition hall tour route is clear, and the treasures of the town hall are clear at a glance. For the unclear patterns on the surface of the cultural relics themselves, they will be marked on the glass cover, and some will have small images for explanation. Moreover, many cultural relics are covered with independent glass, which can be visited 360 degrees. The lighting is also good, and there is basically no need to avoid handprints when taking pictures. The background wall is not wasted at all, and the timeline, comparison table, quotations and other methods are used, and the civilization context is clearly described. Coupled with the unique civilization and cultural characteristics of Sanxingdui, it is highly recommended to visit! Looking forward to the new museum!
The environment is beautiful, with lots of green plants, good air, and convenient access to various venues.
Did not eat lunch there, no comment on the food.
I won't talk about the collection, it's very shocking. There are various products in the cultural and creative museum, and you can stamp them for free.
After the Qin Dynasty conquered Bashu, we have always heard the legend of the ancient Shu Kingdom, similar to "The road to Shu is as difficult as climbing to the sky"... It was not until Sanxingdui was unearthed that we were able to get a glimpse of the real existence of this brilliant ancient Shu civilization.
The sentence "Cancong and Yufu, how confused they were when they founded the country" reveals that the terrain of Shu was dangerous and survival was difficult. But even in such a difficult situation, Cancong founded the country with agriculture, and through the continuous efforts of the ancient Shu people, they created cultural treasures such as Sanxingdui for future generations to appreciate.
"After sleeping for thousands of years, he shocked the world when he woke up."
Please explain it is very very necessary.
We signed up for a tour guide on the bus, which was not expensive, 49 yuan per person. The explanation was very thorough. In addition to explaining the cultural relics on site and their connections, he also brought an iPad to give us a lot of expansion, including speculation on the use scenarios of these cultural relics... Because it was not a package purchased on the platform, they would not force you to write a good review.
It is also recommended to watch a documentary about Sanxingdui before going there. I especially recommend "More Than Archaeology", which vividly shows the process of excavating and protecting cultural relics, and can give you a more comprehensive understanding of Sanxingdui.
On the Yazi River under the bridge, three abrupt earth mounds accompany the Moon Mound. After sleeping for three thousand years, it awakened and shocked the world. The Sanxingdui ruins, which have been excavated continuously, have found new results, bringing the Sanxingdui Museum into the spotlight.
Shu is the silkworm in the sunflower. Cancong and Yufu, how confused they were when they founded the country! There was Cancong, the Marquis of Shu, whose eyes were vertical, and he was the first to be called king.
There are bronze artifacts represented by mysterious and bizarre bronze statues, gold artifacts represented by glittering golden rods, and jade artifacts represented by jade halberds decorated with patterns... Sanxingdui shows people a bizarre and infinitely wonderful ancient Shu society from all aspects.
Exquisite patterns, unique symbols, and bizarre objects.
Sacrificial pit? Burial pit? Burial pit?
Who are we? Where do we come from? Where are we going?
The existence of Sanxingdui tells me that this world is actually different from what we know.
Many of the exhibits are unlike anything you’ll find in other museums. Many of the bronze ornaments, giant masks, and portraits unearthed from Sanxingdui are unique in the world, with absolutely stunning shapes!
If you are a history, archeology or museum enthusiast, Sanxingdui Museum is a place you cannot miss.
In my mind, Sanxingdui Museum is one of the top museums in my country. I usually like to watch some archaeological documentaries, and my favorite ones are Sanxingdui, Mawangdui, and the archaeological excavation of the tomb of Haihunhou. In addition, I especially like to watch "Grave Robbers' Chronicles", in which the Qinling Sacred Tree is based on the bronze sacred tree in Sanxingdui, so I decided to visit Sanxingdui very early.
There are two exhibition halls in Sanxingdui Museum:
The first exhibition hall is a comprehensive hall, which displays cultural relics such as gold, copper, jade, stone, and pottery. Among them, the most famous cultural relics are the bronze standing man, the bronze sacred tree, and the golden staff.
The second exhibition hall is the Bronze Hall, where the most famous cultural relics are various bronze heads and golden masks.
In the official account of "Sanxingdui Museum", in the "Basic Exhibition" of the audio guide in the lower left corner, it is strongly recommended to spend 10 yuan to buy the audio guide, so remember to bring headphones when you come here. When visiting the museum, if you don't listen to the explanation, you will be confused and rush through it. Only by listening to the explanation can you understand the various special features of the cultural relics and gain a lot!
In Hall 1, the bronze standing man is in the center. When I saw it unexpectedly, I was shocked. Although I have seen it many times in documentaries, I didn't realize how tall it was until I saw it in person. It felt like it was looking down on me.
Needless to say, the bronze sacred tree is so magnificent. It is hard to imagine how the ancient people thousands of years ago put all their manpower and resources into building such a majestic sacred tree and worshipping it.
In the Bronze Hall No. 2, the scene on the first floor is also very shocking. Dozens of bronze heads are on display in the hall, as if they are staring at the tourists walking in.
After visiting the two exhibition halls, I felt satisfied and gained a lot. I finally saw with my own eyes the exhibits that I had seen on TV before.
My travel notes: Following the most beautiful autumn colors - Travel notes of Jiuzhaigou/Huanglong/Bipenggou in Sichuan http://www.mafengwo.cn/i/21345961.html
First of all, I have to give a thumbs up to the Sanxingdui Museum, which offers free storage, free wifi, and free WeChat explanations. The explanations on WeChat were even more detailed than those of the tour guide, so much so that by the end of the day I didn't have time to listen to every single one of them, so I could only pick out the key points.
Sanxingdui is divided into several pavilions. The first pavilion is hidden under a patch of grass and introduces the history of Sanxingdui. The second pavilion is full of bronze artifacts and various concave shapes.
In fact, the Guanghan Sanxingdui Museum is quite far from downtown Chengdu. Like the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Base, it is located in the north of downtown Chengdu. Fortunately, it is relatively convenient to drive here.
Why did you choose Guanghan Sanxingdui Museum when there are so many museums in Chengdu? It was all because of the novel "Grave Robbers' Chronicles: The Sacred Tree of Qinling Mountains". Nanpai Sanshu's "Grave Robbers' Chronicles: The Sacred Tree of Qinling Mountains" fictionalized a sacred tree deep in the hinterland of Qinling Mountains, and this sacred tree was created based on the bronze sacred tree unearthed from the Sanxingdui ruins. When I read the novel, I looked up a lot of information about Guanghan Sanxingdui and was deeply attracted by the brilliant Sanxingdui civilization. At that time, I said that I must see this bronze sacred tree with my own eyes if I had the chance. So although the time in Chengdu was short this time, I still decided to visit the Sanxingdui Museum.
Unlike other comprehensive museums, Guanghan Sanxingdui Museum, as a thematic site museum, requires admission. Sanxingdui Museum currently has two exhibition halls, divided into the first exhibition hall (comprehensive hall, displaying gold, bronze, jade, stone, pottery and other cultural relics) and the second exhibition hall (bronze special hall). When visiting, you can purchase the commentary through the official WeChat account of Guanghan Sanxingdui Museum, and listen to the commentary while visiting, which makes you feel more immersive.
Although Sanxingdui Museum is a paid museum, the exhibits are exquisite and well-managed, and it is worth the money. I bought a 10-yuan electronic guide, which I can listen to repeatedly on my phone. It may take a whole day to look through the Bronze Museum, the Cultural Protection Center, and the Comprehensive Museum. In addition, there is the "Harmony and Music in the World" Central Plains Musical Instruments Special Exhibition of the Henan Museum, which adds to the harvest of this trip. The museum's photography service is also unique, with free key chains, but it costs 10 yuan to develop large photos. So we, who never take souvenir photos when traveling, asked for five.
You must go and see it~ Especially for those who have read the Tomb Robbers' Chronicles, there is a bronze sacred tree, and many other names that can appear in the Tomb Robbers' Chronicles~ A very mysterious cultural
Yan Daocheng, a local farmer in Guanghan, accidentally discovered a pit of jade while digging a ditch in his own field in the Yueliangwan area north of the current site. He hid it at home at night. It gradually became known when it was cashed in a year later. In the spring of 1931, Dong Duyi, a British missionary who was preaching in Guanghan County, heard the news and found the local garrison to help publicize, protect and investigate. He also handed over the collected jade artifacts to the West China University Museum run by Americans for safekeeping. Based on the clues provided by Dong Duyi, Ge Weihan, director of the West China University Museum, and his assistant Lin Mingjun formed an archaeological team in the spring of 1934, presided over by Luo Yucang, the county magistrate of Guanghan County, and conducted a ten-day excavation near the place where Yan found the jade artifacts. The excavation yielded a lot of results. Based on these materials, Ge Weihan compiled the "Hanzhou Excavation Brief".
The excavation report "Guanghan Sanxingdui Site" from 1980 to 1981 pointed out that Sanxingdui is "an ancient culture that is widely distributed in Sichuan and has distinct characteristics, which is different from any other archaeological culture." It has met the three conditions proposed by Xia Nai for naming an archaeological culture, and it is recommended to be named "Sanxingdui Culture." From July to September 1986, two large Shang Dynasty sacrificial pits were excavated, and nearly a thousand precious cultural relics such as gold, bronze, jade, stone, pottery, shells, and bones were unearthed. It attracted the attention of academic circles at home and abroad to the ancient Shu civilization in southwest China, and became the main collection of the Sanxingdui Museum.
There are many treasures among them, including the jade bianzhang, which is known as the "king of bianzhang". The remaining part is 159 cm long, 1.8 cm thick and 22 cm wide. It is exquisitely crafted with clear edges and corners, and there are patterns engraved on the body of the device. This large and exquisite jade artifact is the only one found in the existing archaeological discoveries in China.
Sanxingdui Museum is located in the northeast corner of Sanxingdui Site, a national key cultural relic protection unit, on the banks of Yazi River in the west of Guanghan City, Sichuan Province, a famous historical and cultural city. It is 38 kilometers south of Chengdu and 26 kilometers north of Deyang. There are two exhibition halls with a display area of nearly 12,000 square meters, divided into the first exhibition hall (comprehensive hall, displaying gold, copper, jade, stone, pottery and other cultural relics) and the second exhibition hall (bronze special hall). The treasures are basically unearthed from the sacrificial pits of the Shang Dynasty. In fact, there have been underground treasures that have been accidentally obtained by villagers in the local area, but in the early years, people’s awareness was not strong, and some bronzes were even sold as rags to recycling stations for recycling. Many treasures have disappeared from the world since then. Therefore, the collections in the museum are not too rich.
Practical information: Ticket price: 72 yuan, parking fee: 5 yuan/car, opening hours: Comprehensive Hall (First Hall) 8:30-18:00, Bronze Hall (Second Hall) 8:30-18:30. Reference time: 1-2 hours
For details, please see my travel notes of Northern Sichuan.
Sanxingdui is located in the northeast corner of the Sanxingdui Ruins, a national key cultural relic protection unit, and is located on the banks of the Yazi River west of Guanghan City. The Sanxingdui Ruins is the largest, longest-lasting, and most culturally rich ancient Shu cultural site discovered in the southwest region so far. The museum is divided into a comprehensive hall and a bronze hall, where you can enjoy a large number of unearthed gold, pottery, ivory and other cultural relics, all of which have distinct Bashu cultural characteristics. The Sanxingdui Museum has two exhibition halls with a display area of nearly 12,000 square meters.
After watching too many science fiction films, I feel that Sanxingdui belongs to alien culture. Maybe it really is a civilization left by aliens!
It is very convenient to take the direct bus to Sanxingdui. It is a bus. The key point is to purchase the explanation service on WeChat and adjust the speaking speed to 2 times. If you go to Chengdu, you must go to the Sanxingdui Museum. You will have a different understanding of civilization. Recommended 5 stars
Although the Sanxingdui Museum feels a bit thin, the mystery and exquisite craftsmanship of the ancient Shu civilization are still impressive. For ordinary tourists, 2 hours is definitely enough to visit the museum, including visiting all the exhibits in the exhibition hall and visiting the garden inside the museum.
After I came here, I found it was really worth it. There are many national treasures here. It is a national first-class museum at the same level as the Forbidden City. It is divided into two exhibition halls, the Bronze Museum and the Comprehensive Museum. Here I saw China's long history and culture, as well as the wisdom of the ancients, which was shocking. This is not only a museum, but also a large park with particularly good greening, and many Japanese tourists come here
There are few seats for rest in the museum. The cultural relics unearthed from Sanxingdui are so exquisite. I have to admire the ancient people for making
It is worth a visit. The museum is so big that even though there are so many people, it doesn't seem too crowded and affect the experience.
Sanxingdui Museum Ticket Reservation Guanghan Sanxingdui Ticket Grab Private Message Me 100% Ticket
The place is a little bit remote, the bus is not very convenient, there are not many cars from the high-speed rail station. The cultural relics are very good, but a little simple. The ticket price is a bit expensive.
It is a 1-hour drive from Chengdu. The masks and the Tongtian Tree are very unique. It is worth a visit.
It's worth a visit. You need to ask for an explanation to fully understand this magical place. The main reason is that there are too many people and I can't take a look at it slowly and peacefully. I am also a rice farmer after all, and I came here for the bronze tree, but there were too many people. I took two photos and listened to the explanation, and that was it.
The exhibition environment of the museum is indeed great, successfully creating a mysterious atmosphere.
The collection of this museum is very rich and unique in China. Friends who are interested in history and culture can come and have a look.
There are not many people in the scenic area, and what hits you when you step into the museum is a strong sense of mystery.
Perhaps it is too mysterious. I personally feel that there are still too many mysteries about Sanxingdui that have not been solved, so the explanations of many exhibits in the museum still have a lot to say.
Sanxingdui Museum is a large park. But there are only two exhibition halls worth seeing: the General Hall and the Bronze Hall. The museum park is only a small part. The rest of the park is where the excavation took place. The cultural relics in the exhibition hall were all unearthed here.
It feels more extraordinary than the Terracotta Warriors. The first thing to enter is the comprehensive hall, which displays various cultural relics such as gold, copper, jade, stone, and pottery. The theme is set by category, vertically connected and horizontally developed, comprehensively and systematically introducing the history of ancient Shu and the brilliant achievements made by the ancient Shu Kingdom in various fields in Sanxingdui. The existence of the golden rod seems to be earlier than the scepter of the Egyptian pharaoh. The most distinctive feature is the Tongtian God Tree, which reflects the unity of man and nature and the mutual communication between man and god in the ancient Shu people. Therefore, people can't help but think of the Qinling God Tree in "Grave Robbers' Chronicles", which makes people have to admire the wisdom of the ancient Shu people. The gate of the bronze hall is very distinctive. The bronze hall is the top priority of Sanxingdui. The bronze human-headed bird-body sculpture and the bronze relief back screen are in the eyes. The theme of the "Man and God" display symbolizes the spiritual pursuit of the ancient Shu ancestors and implies the broad prospects and bright future of mankind. The bronze vertical-eyed mask is said to be the mask of Cancong, the ancestor of the Shu people. The most exaggerated features are the protruding eyes and stretched ears, so some people call it "clairvoyance" and "wind-hearing hearing". The exaggerated shape shows that it has superhuman magical powers. It is not clear whether the bronze standing man is a wizard or the king of Shu. From the overall point of view, he has an extraordinary and noble status, so it is inferred that it should be a theocracy at that time. Sanxingdui cultural relics are precious human cultural heritage. Among the vast and magnificent cultural relics in China, they are one of the most valuable and ornamental cultural relics in history, science, culture and art.
The Sanxingdui Museum is really big. It has three halls. It is a little far away. It is very beautiful inside, like a park.
Sanxingdui civilization is a very mysterious civilization. There are no written records, and the style of its cultural relics can be described as weird. Some people even speculate that Sanxingdui civilization is an alien civilization.
When looking at Sanxingdui, you need to bring your own subjective feelings. After all, there are no written records and nothing is conclusive.
When I saw the national treasure-level bronze mask and bronze sacred tree, it was really hard to imagine that these were made by people thousands of years ago. I couldn't help but feel that the alien civilization might really be right.
This is a very special attraction. You must listen to the explanation while watching. The special thing is that even if you listen and watch, there is no definite answer in the end, because Sanxingdui is a mystery. Curiosity is human nature, but before there are new archaeological discoveries, you can only look at these incredible objects stupidly.
Sanxingdui is very shocking, the sacred tree, the high priest, are very good
The tickets will be inspected three times and kept properly.
Follow the official WeChat account in advance: Sanxingdui Museum, which offers free audio guides and paid celebrity guides, as well as on-site manual or rented equipment guides.
I feel that five stars are not enough to express my satisfaction! If you can only visit one museum in Chengdu, it must be Sanxingdui!
[Transportation] Take the train from Chengdu to Guanghan, and then take a taxi to Sanxingdui. The train costs 18 yuan, and the taxi costs about 20 yuan. I couldn't get a taxi on the way back, so I took the bus next to the museum to Liuyang Mingyuan and then took a taxi to the high-speed rail station. It is recommended to reserve time if you take public transportation. The last bus is at 18:00. I would like to give special praise to the taxi driver in Guanghan (reminding me where to take the bus on the way back) and the bus station staff (changing the change for me to take the bus)!
[Tickets] If you decide to go at the last minute, it is recommended to book tickets online in advance (at least one day in advance) if you plan in advance, which can be cheaper. You can also book tickets for the scenic area through bus, which seems to include transportation. The specific situation is also introduced on the Sanxingdui Museum WeChat.
[Explanation] Chengdu's museums are really amazing. I went to three museums and used WeChat explanations. There are different styles of explanations to choose from, and you can also play them at double the speed. I hope other museums can learn from this! It saves money compared to manual explanations and is more efficient and interesting than an explanation device!
[Others] The exhibits are very exquisite, and I have to sigh at the wisdom of the ancients! Especially the sacred tree and the giant standing man are so shocking! There were not many people in the exhibition hall on weekdays, and I was a little scared for a few moments! The location of the exhibition hall with the giant standing man is a bit off and easy to miss. Remember to check the route guide on the museum WeChat in advance and don't miss it hahaha!
This museum displays the only cultural relics of the ancient Shu people and is a very informative museum.
The museum displays the ruins of the Bronze Age in the southwest. The museum is divided into the General Hall and the Bronze Hall. We first came to the General Hall. The General Hall displays utensils, decorations, pendants, sacrificial supplies, etc. used by ancient people. The museum is carefully designed and arranged. Whether it is the floor, display cabinets, lighting, or decorations, they are all perfectly matched. In addition to looking at the exhibits on display, the design and layout of the exhibition hall itself is also a very important factor in visiting a museum. A good museum can be infected by the atmosphere it creates as soon as you walk in, and Sanxingdui is like this. The unusually quiet atmosphere in the museum is suitable for the mystery of its exhibition theme.
Leaving the comprehensive hall, we came to the highlight of Sanxingdui, the Bronze Hall. The atmosphere in the Bronze Hall is even more quiet. There are almost no ceiling lights in the entire hall. The light shines on the unique and mysterious bronze human heads on display. These cultural relics are bronze artifacts from the Shang Dynasty. These human heads include ordinary human heads and human heads wearing gold masks.
The bronze statues of Sanxingdui are a group of authorities and idols that are worshiped. They not only symbolize the gods of heaven, earth, ancestors, etc., but also represent secular leaders or spiritual leaders such as kings and wizards. Seeing these exhibits is nothing but awe. The excavation of such a large number of bronze human heads fully shows the importance of faith to the ancient Bashu people. All the way, I was amazed at the exquisite design of the exhibition hall. Whether it is the lighting, shape, color or the highlight of the exhibits, it is impeccable. This is a museum with a unique temperament. When you come here, you will enter another world in these few hours, the mysterious world of Sanxingdui. Before going, you can properly understand some of the history related to Sanxingdui, so that you can visit it more deeply.
This museum is a must-see. The Bashu culture is so interesting. There are tourist buses from the panda base. It's not tiring to visit for 3 or 4 hours. Be sure to rent a guide!
Tickets are 80, absolutely worth it!!!
It takes 19 minutes to reach Guanghan North from Chengdu by intercity railway, and 20 yuan by taxi to the museum (don’t take the bus, it’s too expensive and you have to transfer every 20 minutes)
You can listen to the explanation for free on the WeChat public account, which is very detailed and lasts up to 200 minutes. What is particularly thoughtful is that you can play it at double speed. You can put on headphones and watch it slowly and listen carefully. You can only sigh in admiration!
If you have enough time, walk about one kilometer south from the gate to the excavation site, which is covered with glass so you can see it directly.
You have to understand the history first, otherwise it's just a cursory glance
The site is very large and looks more desolate than the panda base. There are two main exhibition halls. I finally saw the tall bronze sacred tree. But when I was eavesdropping on the explanation, I was attracted by the small "money tree" next to it. If you don't look carefully, you won't find that there are seated statues of the Queen Mother of the West in the dense carvings on each layer of branches. Although the Queen Mother of the West is an important character in the story of the Tomb Robbers' Chronicles, the Qinling Sacred Tree has nothing to do with this goddess, but it has also been connected with her in reality. Perhaps, all this is destined in the dark.
I have heard of Sanxingdui culture for a long time. The bronze artifacts unearthed from its ruins are very attractive to me. I have long wanted to come here to experience it up close. The hotel we stayed in was less than 10 kilometers away from the Sanxingdui Museum. We drove there after breakfast. The Sanxingdui Museum is hidden in a deliberately created garden, with lakes and islands, red flowers and green leaves, and the warm air of the Sichuan Basin. Even before entering the exhibition hall, I, a northerner, have already enjoyed it. We are the first group of visitors to the museum. In the quiet exhibition hall, we were baptized by the Sanxingdui culture.
Sanxingdui Museum is free for seniors over 70 years old. When visiting, either do your homework before coming, or ask a guide to explain (we really should have hired a guide! It was worth the money! The guide we rented was still not very clear.) or follow the Sanxingdui Museum WeChat public account and listen to the explanation according to the guide, or rent a guide. Otherwise, you really can't understand anything, you just watch and see.
There has been a major overhaul of public transportation in Guanghan city, and everything on the electronic map is wrong.
There is a bus from Guanghan High-speed Railway Station that goes directly to Sanxingdui Museum, bus No. 13.
China's cultural confidence is reflected in the things left by our ancestors. The bronze standing man, bronze sacred tree and other cultural relics make me respect the wisdom of our ancestors and make me proud and excited about the profoundness of Chinese culture! Is the museum worth visiting? Two words: must go!
But I have one concern: there are some debris scattered on the ground inside the glass cover of the bronze standing man. I don’t know what it is. I am a little worried about whether the protection of the cultural relic can continue to be good!
I have a suggestion. I drove out of the parking lot to pick up my wife and children at the museum entrance. It only took them 1-2 minutes to walk from the interior to my car. There were few cars at the time. The traffic police insisted that I drive away and not stop. As a result, I could only drive forward slowly, and my wife and children chased me from behind. My personal suggestion is that when there are few cars and people, it can be allowed to stay at the museum entrance for a short time according to the specific situation. It should be more humane. The pickup police car that urged me to leave seemed to have no license plate, but it was very dedicated!
The unit divisions of the Sanxingdui Museum are pretty good and clear. It is divided into a comprehensive hall and a bronze hall, which contains six national treasures. Sanxingdui was a glorious civilization in the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River from the Neolithic period to the Western Zhou Dynasty. The basic styles of pottery in the Sanxingdui civilization are Pingding jars, high-handled beans (a kind of utensil for food), bird-headed spoons, and three-legged cooking utensils that are said to be the source of later hot pot. The treasure of the town, Yu Zhang, is not because of its size, but because it is really exquisite. The flowers and hollows are particularly exquisite. Jade is also a spiritual existence in the Sanxingdui civilization. There are many birds and fish in the Sanxingdui civilization, which can be seen from the name of the ancient Shu king Yu Fu. The Jianmu sacred tree that shook the heaven and earth, with nine lifelike sun birds on it, my God, the baby was really stunned when he saw it
You must visit the Sanxingdui that you have been longing for, with all kinds of exquisite items that exude a touch of history!
Most people come here for this. The Tongtian Sacred Tree is said to be more than 4 meters high, made of bronze, with 9 birds on the tree, a natural worship, and branches growing in multiple directions, but the joints are very natural and mysterious! It is in the fifth department of the comprehensive hall, close to the exit. You have to wait for the crowd to disperse before you can take a picture of the quiet sacred tree!
Sanxingdui Museum can be visited from Chengdu East Station and get off in Guanghan. The high-speed train and bus cost the same. You can take a taxi after getting off the train. It is said that Guanghan public transportation is not very well connected. As soon as you enter the museum complex, you will see a pair of mythical beasts with strange appearances and unusual placements. They have square mouths, bottle-shaped heads, long bodies and short legs, two tails one above the other, and their necks are stiff, which makes them look very proud.
The gold foil on the golden staff is carved with human faces, fish and birds, which makes people wonder how such fine craftsmanship could be achieved in the Bronze Age when productivity was so backward. The wood of the staff core has long since rotted.
A large number of jade artifacts were unearthed from the two sacrificial pits in Sanxingdui, including ritual objects such as jade axes, jade gui, and jade cong. It is really shocking. The tallest tree trunk is more than one person tall, with three branches in a bundle. On each branch stands a divine bird with its head held high, ready to fly. There are tassels and bells in the bird's beak, and the carvings are so fine that even the bells have intricate patterns.
I have always been curious about the Sanxingdui civilization. The mask gestures are still an unsolved mystery. Today, I was able to get a glimpse of the real face, and I was still excited. There were very few people in the museum at that time. I walked to the top floor of the Bronze Museum and then walked back to the ground from the outdoor spiral ramp. It felt like a world away.
I came here just to see the masks in history books. It was not interesting at first, but the more I looked, the more interesting it became. You can use WeChat to scan the code to listen to the explanation, which is interesting.
Sanxingdui Museum is a thematic site museum. It has two exhibition halls with a display area of nearly 12,000 square meters, divided into the first exhibition hall (comprehensive hall, displaying gold, bronze, jade, stone, pottery and other cultural relics, the sacred tree is in this hall) and the second exhibition hall (bronze hall, the large standing man is in this hall).
It takes about 1 hour to get to Sanxingdui from the Panda Base, 2-3 hours to visit, and 5:30 to return. It is very reasonable.
Guanghan Sanxingdui is actually worth a visit. Here is a small tip, it is recommended to buy tickets for the high-speed rail and the museum one day in advance, especially the museum tickets, which must be pre-purchased at least one day in advance. However, even if you forget to buy it in advance, the price is only 1-5 yuan different when you buy it on site, so you won't lose much. Regarding the explanation, the museum said that it provides an interpreter, but in addition to a deposit of 20 yuan for each, you also need to press your ID card at the rental office, and the ID card will be returned to you at the interpreter return office. In addition, the interpreter is free within 3 hours, but it will be charged separately if it exceeds 3 hours. In addition, the museum also has a way to scan the QR code to follow the official public account APP to listen to the explanation, and there are many explanations to choose from in the public account. I didn't rent a interpreter, and used the official public account explanation. I personally think this is already very good. The whole listening is about 3 and a half hours, and the explanation is very detailed. Basically, every cultural relic has an explanation, and the content is also very comprehensive. More importantly, there is no need to worry about the time limit for visiting. Here I strongly recommend the explanation of Zou Peng, the propaganda department of Sanxingdui. The overall explanation is very comfortable, especially like listening to an episode of a documentary
The Sanxingdui ruins are located on the south bank of the Yazi River in the northwest of Guanghan City, covering an area of 12 square kilometers. They have a history of 5,000 to 3,000 years. They are the largest, longest-lasting, and most culturally rich ancient city, ancient country, and ancient Shu cultural site discovered in the southwest region to date.
When you walk into the Sanxingdui Museum, you will find that each exhibit not only represents the history and culture that once existed, but also exudes the breath of life, telling you how you are connected with all things. Here, through the intersection of time and space, you can seem to feel the tireless exploration of life by the ancient Shu ancestors more than 3,000 years ago, as well as their awe and love for the same sky and the same land! There are a lot of mosquitoes in the forest of the museum, so it is recommended to bring mosquito repellent or floral water.
The Sanxingdui site is still under archaeological excavation, but only two museums have been developed. Perhaps more historical relics will be presented to us many years later!
The Sanxingdui Museum is huge... Now there are direct buses to the entrances of the Wuhou Temple and other scenic spots, which is quite convenient.
Sanxingdui is a very unique exhibition hall with a humanized layout. You can visit all the exhibits in the hall after browsing. Usually, historical attractions like this are often better to hear than to see. But since I didn't find a guide, I just walked around and took a look.
I spent nearly 4 hours alone in Sanxingdui. Remember to bring water and food, because there is really nothing to eat and drink near the museum. When I saw the bronze tree, bronze standing man, bronze head and bronze artifacts, I was still shocked as before. How mature the bronze smelting technology must the ancients have mastered to make such exquisite bronze artifacts.
At first I thought Guanghan Sanxingdui Museum was an indoor museum, but I didn't expect the whole museum to be so big. And there are really few restaurants nearby, so I suggest you prepare drinks and food in advance, because it will take at least 3-4 hours to walk around. The indoor exhibition hall closest to the entrance is the comprehensive hall, which mainly exhibits different types of objects, from pottery to jade to bronze, and the bronze tree is in the comprehensive hall. I bought an electronic guide online before, but it didn't seem to be useful when I went to the site. It is recommended that you rent an electronic guide or a manual guide if you want to learn more about it. The thing I regret most is that I didn't rent an electronic guide...
A very good museum to learn about Bashu culture.
After sleeping for thousands of years, he shocked the world when he woke up.
Everything I read in the book was right in front of me. I was lucky enough to catch the ceremony of offering sacrifices to the heaven.
The Sanxingdui Museum integrates multiple functions such as cultural relics collection and protection, academic research and social education. It adopts modern scientific means to implement management and concentrates on collecting and displaying more than a thousand precious cultural relics such as bronze, jade, gold, pottery, bone and other cultural relics unearthed from the Sanxingdui site and the No. 1 and No. 2 Shang Dynasty sacrificial pits within the site.
Maybe because it is far away (1-2 hours drive from Chengdu), isolated (not close to any other attractions), and too distinctive (people who are not interested in humanities and history will not find it very interesting); among the many excellent attractions around Chengdu, Sanxingdui does not have a strong presence. When we went there, the venue was also relatively deserted. But because of this, the visit was particularly good. I was shocked to see the amazing masterpieces of the ancient Shu people with my own eyes. The on-site guide was also very good. Although there is an additional fee, it is highly recommended.
Sanxingdui is a miracle. Its history is roughly the same as that of the Xia and Shang dynasties in the Central Plains, but the bronze artifacts unearthed here are very different from those in the Central Plains. For example, there is a giant mask with protruding eyes, a braided head, a large standing man symbolizing the authority of a wizard, and a four-meter-high bronze sacred tree. It is so beautiful that I feel like I can stare at it all day.
Could it be an alien invasion? Haha, really shocking
The Sanxingdui Museum was founded in August 1992 and opened in October 1997. It is located in the northeast corner of the Sanxingdui Ruins, a national key cultural relic protection unit, on the banks of the Yazi River west of Guanghan City, 40 kilometers south of Chengdu and 26 kilometers north of Deyang. It is a modern thematic ruins museum in China. The Sanxingdui Museum has two exhibition halls with a display area of nearly 12,000 square meters.
The first batch of national research and practice education bases for primary and secondary school students. [1
Guanghan Sanxingdui is really worth a visit. Although it is far away and costs money, it is really worth the money. Many of the cultural relics are unique. The artistic attainments of the ancient Shu people are amazing. Thousands of years ago, the ancient Shu people had already cast such a huge bronze ware, which is really admirable.
You can take the subway from Chengdu to Sanxingdui! Take the intercity bus from the Petroleum University Station on Metro Line 3. Then transfer to the city bus. If you don't have change on the bus, you can use UnionPay QuickPass.
There are now many high-speed trains between Chengdu and Guanghan, but you have to buy tickets in advance on weekends, otherwise the return tickets at the right time will be sold out early.
The bronze standing figure is in an easily missed corner of the first floor of the Bronze Museum, not on the spiral staircase. The map on the official account is confusing.
You need your ID card and other documents to rent a guide. It is best to bring your own headphones to listen to the WeChat explanation. The ice powder, cold shrimp and mineral water outside the gate are affordable.
Take your time to walk around, the cultural relics are great... It's tiring to walk... There are many mosquitoes on the road...
