Tianfu Panda Tower was opened on September 15, 2013. It is the tallest tower in western China and is located in Longhua District, Chengdu. It covers a total area of ​​10 acres. The tower is rich in functions. It is not only the radio, television, and microwave transmission hub of Sichuan Province, but also has high-altitude tourism, revolving restaurants, indoor and outdoor observation floors, exhibitions and performances, etc. It has always attracted many tourists and has become an absolute landmark building in Sichuan Province and Chengdu.

Take the subway line 2 to Chunxi Road Station and transfer to line 3 to get off at [City Second Hospital]. After exiting the station, you can vaguely see the glittering Tianfu Panda Tower. At this moment, you can no longer contain your excitement. Ride along the direction of the TV tower for about seven or eight minutes. From a distance, the red TV tower and the surrounding buildings are integrated, and it is difficult to hide its sincere love for the 70th birthday of the motherland. Below the TV tower is the Fuhe River (the Anshun Corridor Bridge we mentioned earlier is located at the intersection of the Fuhe River and the Nanhe River. There is also a place called "Hejiang Pavilion". After the intersection of the two rivers, it is also called "Jinjiang River". It is the mother river of Chengdu and is responsible for agricultural irrigation, flood control, sewage discharge and other functions in the entire district). If you choose to visit during the peak holiday season, I suggest you buy a ticket for the high-speed elevator directly, because the sightseeing elevator is too slow. The revolving restaurant at 213 meters on the tower is a high-end restaurant that can accommodate 200 people at the same time and provides hundreds of Chinese and Western dishes. It takes 40 minutes to rotate once, and with the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, you can enjoy the city scenery at 360 degrees, allowing people to experience a new taste and visual experience. Sightseeing is divided into indoor and outdoor. At 208 meters is the indoor sightseeing floor. You can directly adjust the position of the glass viewing camera by controlling the indoor tablet computer by hand. You can see the whole city landscape wherever you want. There are also some interactive games, virtual VR experience, tower knowledge and tower model visits, etc., each of which will take you to open the door to a new world. From this floor, you can go directly to the outdoor sightseeing floor at 218 meters. There is a transparent glass viewing platform in the southeast, northwest and northeast corners of this floor. Standing on the transparent glass is still a bit exciting. I, who have always been brave, feel a bit thrilling. When taking pictures, I dare not look down at all, and my legs are a bit weak. I would like to remind you that it is quite windy and cold outside the tower at night, so remember to bring thick clothes. After the tour, the queues are still divided into high-speed elevators and sightseeing elevators. The same principle applies. The high-speed queue moves much faster. If friends who have taken the sightseeing elevator before do not plan to take the sightseeing elevator, they can also queue directly in the queue on the high-speed elevator side and go down quickly.

Tianfu Panda Tower is really the best place to take photos of Chengdu's night view. The night view is really beautiful. When I arrived, it was already past eight o'clock and it was completely dark. There are two ways to get to the tower: a sightseeing elevator, which is slow but you can see the scenery, and a high-speed elevator. Because I am a student, I chose the high-speed elevator, which costs 35 yuan and is very fast. I took a lot of photos of Chengdu's night view from it, but people who are afraid of heights are advised not to take it.

We arrived at the Tianfu Panda Tower at almost nine o'clock. After exchanging our tickets, we quickly took the elevator up. It is said that the Tianfu Panda Tower is 339 meters high. It took us about one and a half minutes to get there by taking the sightseeing elevator. After getting off the elevator, we had to walk up several stairs to get to the platform. Standing at the highest point of the city and overlooking Chengdu in the night breeze, I felt very calm. There are several places on the platform where you can stand out to take pictures. Looking down from there is a bit thrilling. When taking pictures, I didn't dare to look down at all, and my legs were a bit weak.

I believe everyone has been to the TV tower. Chengdu’s city scenery may not be very good during the day, but it is probably okay for taking night views.

There are two options for visiting the Tianfu Panda Tower: viewing from a distance or visiting from close up. For viewing from a distance, find a high-rise hotel or homestay near Jianshe Road. For visiting from close up, take a bus (bus No. 6/61) to the Panda Tower to see the night view of Chengdu city. The high-speed elevator costs 80 yuan, and the sightseeing elevator costs 100 yuan.

The elevator to the top can directly reach the indoor sightseeing floor at 208 meters (equivalent to the height of a 75-story building). Outside the transparent glass, there is a viewing camera in each of the four directions of east, south, west and north. The position of the viewing camera can be adjusted directly by manually controlling the tablet computer in the room, so as to have a perfect and real-time view of the entire city.

Then, you can walk up a few steps to the 218-meter outdoor observation deck. This is a 218-meter outdoor observation deck that towers over the city. There is a transparent glass viewing platform in the southeast, northwest, and northeast corners. Standing on the transparent glass, overlooking the city and watching the scenery from above is quite exciting. However, it is said that this 218-meter transparent glass is the place where marriage proposals are most likely to succeed, so various romantic marriage proposal activities are often held here.

There is also a revolving restaurant on the tower, which serves a variety of delicious Chinese and Western dishes. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offer a 360-degree view of the city, and it takes 40 minutes to rotate once. Here is a reminder, if you take a taxi to Tianfu Panda Tower, remember to tell the driver to go to 339. Because the Tianfu Panda Tower is 339 meters high, the locals are used to calling it that. And this is not only a TV tower, but also a complex commercial complex built based on the TV tower, so it is also called "Chengdu 339".

There are many locals walking in the square in front of the tower after dinner, and the cost of climbing the tower is not expensive. If you want to see the night view of Chengdu, you can consider it.

There is actually another reason why I classify this tower as a niche attraction. Compared with the popular online tourist attractions such as Chunxi Road, Taikoo Li, Koi, Kuanzhai Alley, etc., the "Tianfu Panda Tower" can be said to be very deserted.

When we went there at around 11am, there were only one or two tourists buying tickets at the ticket window. The tickets here refer to the tickets for the poetry elevator, which is actually equivalent to the entrance ticket. There are two types of elevators in the "Tianfu Panda Tower". One is a high-speed elevator that takes you directly to the top of the tower for less than a minute. The ticket is 50 yuan. The other is a sightseeing elevator, where you can see the scenery while going up. The ticket is 70 yuan. We bought the high-speed elevator, which goes directly to the sightseeing floor.

The sightseeing floor is divided into several floors. The bottom floor is a high-end restaurant. We didn't plan to eat there, so we skipped it and went to the second floor. The second floor is mainly an exhibition area. In addition, there are some interactive entertainment facilities. After wandering around the exhibition area, my friend and I played these entertainment facilities one by one. I like the driving game below the most. The seat is vibrating.

After playing on the second floor, we went up to the third floor. The center of the third floor is also an entertainment area, with interactive entertainment projects such as VR experience. Push open the glass door and you will reach the top sightseeing platform. The top sightseeing platform is a large circle surrounded by a safety guardrail, and then there are several transparent sightseeing platforms extending outside the main building. The glass was washed so clean that I, who have always been brave, felt a little weak when I stepped on it.

From the sightseeing platform at the top of the tower, you can overlook the entire Chengdu city. The weather was not very good when we went there. The two buildings in the upper right corner of the picture below are the Chengdu IFS International Financial Center. Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li are in that area, and you can roughly see the relative position of the TV tower to them.

Foreign tourists rarely come to the "Tianfu Panda Tower", but this is a place I highly recommend. If you want to have an in-depth tour and want to deepen your understanding of a city, then climbing up and looking down will definitely not disappoint you.

However, since these places are usually not open for tickets, many tourists will not choose them. For example, the Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai costs more than 200 yuan just to go up and sightsee, and you have to wait in line for a long time. In comparison, the price of 50 yuan for the "Tianfu Panda Tower" is quite cost-effective. If you bring your family or significant other, you can also go to the high-end restaurants on the sightseeing floor to splurge.

It's super spectacular. It's at 339 Square. You can buy tickets by taking the escalator. I went there during the day and plan to go there in a few days to enjoy the night view. It's worth a visit. It's a very iconic building in Chengdu. There are delicious food, cafes, shopping, bars and complete facilities around it.
