Wenchuan Sanjiang Ecological Tourism Area

It's a very ordinary place, nothing special.

The confluence of the Xihe, Zhonghe, and Heishihe rivers here gives it the name "Three Rivers." The scenic area, adjacent to the Wolong National Nature Reserve and the Qingcheng Mountain Scenic Area, is home to the giant panda, a World Heritage site, and is home to the Davidia involucrata, the world's largest "living fossil plant." The area boasts a well-preserved natural ecology, Tibetan and Qiang folk culture, and the history of the Ancient Tea-Horse Road. It is a short-distance tourist destination that combines sightseeing, immersive experiences, and summer vacations.

First of all, although the Sanjiang Ecological Scenic Area belongs to the Qingcheng Mountains and is very close to Dujiangyan, its geographical location is not in Qingcheng Mountain, Dujiangyan.

Sanjiang Ecological Scenic Area is located in Sanjiang, an ancient water mill town in Wenchuan.

It is a very good tourist attraction. From the entrance of the scenic area to the parking lot of the scenic area, it is a winding mountain road. It is very steep and I feel it when driving. There is a small train in the scenic area that you can take, which is a good feeling overall.

This area isn't heavily developed, and most people come here to escape the Chengdu summer heat. Accommodation and meals are mostly farmhouses, costing around 100 yuan per person per day, including food and accommodation. The hiking trails within the scenic area are worth a try, and the scenery is typical forest scenery. It's simply cool here, perfect for a weekend getaway. For a family, a two-day weekend stay here is reasonably priced, and taking the kids to explore the scenic area and take some photos is quite pleasant. It's also very close to Chengdu, with most roads connected to the highway. The local specialty is plums, so it's okay to try them when you buy them.

A summer resort close to Chengdu, with picturesque scenery. I haven't been to Sanjiang, but I've been to Shuimo Ancient Town four or five times. It's a very pleasant place to stay for a few days to escape the summer heat.

The Wenchuan earthquake was well repaired, but you can still see the traces of the earthquake. The river is still very turbulent. There are people selling tourist souvenirs and snacks along the way and taking pictures with yaks. I went there more than a year ago. I remember there was a statue of Dayu controlling the flood~~

Shanjiang Ecological Tourism Area is located in Wenchuan County. From Dujiangyan, head to Shuimo Ancient Town, and then continue forward to Sanjiang.

The natural scenery is beautiful, there is a small train inside, and there are conditions for camping.

A complete complaint: all the restrooms along the way to Jiuzhaigou are charged 1 yuan. When the Wenchuan earthquake happened, people all over the country, from the elderly to children, donated money selflessly...

The Wenchuan Sanjiang Ecological Tourism Area is located in Sanjiang Township, southern Wenchuan County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture. It's called Sanjiang because the Xihe, Zhonghe, and Heishi Rivers converge here. But why haven't I heard of such a place? Isn't that the statue of Yu the Great in Wenchuan County?

Next time I go to Wenchuan, I will find out more about where it is. The scenery is quite nice.

I passed by here on my way to Jiuzhaigou and it looked pretty good.

There is a hotel (Pandar Hotel) in the scenic area, and the parking fee is 10 yuan per car. You can also camp in the camping area. You can hike, take the sightseeing train, and ride horses to visit the scenic area.

After arriving at Shuimo, walk further in and you'll reach Sanjiang. Although there aren't many sights to see, the air quality is excellent, and it's not too noisy with so many tourists. There are specially built recreational facilities on the mountain, and there are also cabins in the mountains. Living in them is a special experience. There's a lake below where you can go boating during the hot season, and there are a few giant pandas there, which are really cute! Because my relatives have a place to stay there, I can go there anytime... When I get bored in the city, I want to go there

Wenchuan was also rebuilt very well and is now very modern.

The Sanjiang Ecological Zone is located in the Songpan Ancient City. The entire ancient city is not large, but transportation is quite convenient, the environment is good, and the architecture of the ancient city is very distinctive.

Sanjiang is a pretty good scenic spot, but it was basically destroyed by the 512 Wenchuan earthquake. It is now gradually recovering and it is still quite good to go there in the summer.

When passing by Jiuzhaigou on the way from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou, the most eye-catching thing is the giant statue of Dayu. It is said that this is Dayu's hometown.

The road conditions are not so satisfactory, but it is a beautiful place.

Seeing the impact of natural disasters on the world was an unexpected and meaningful experience during my trip. Wenchuan is actually the hometown of Yu the Great.

The journey from Chengdu to Wenchuan involves passing through numerous tunnels, each offering a unique view. In Wenchuan, the mountains, blue skies, white clouds, and rivers are a sight you won't normally experience. The food here is incredibly delicious and fragrant! Wenchuan apples are renowned.

It was Qingming Festival when I went there and it was raining, so I didn't really go into the scenic area. I walked around outside the scenic area and the air was very fresh. There was a Tibetan village where I found a Tibetan local to stay for one night. It was very clean and the host was very welcoming.

When I was returning to Chengdu from Jiuzhaigou, the bus passed by here. I felt it was just average, so I took a picture of Dayu's back with my mobile phone.

In fact, the new Wenchuan city construction is quite good. Walking along the river at night, the facilities along the river are complete and it is quite pleasant.

The earthquake left a deep impression. Honestly, I encountered landslides while traveling through Wenchuan the year before the earthquake. Huge rocks slid down the valley, and there were also reports of blasting. The area is geologically unstable and unsuitable for large-scale settlements.

The new city is beautifully built and the sky is still as blue as before. I can’t forget the past and I cherish the present.

Standing on Jianmen Pass, I truly admire the revolutionary and fearless spirit of the Red Army soldiers who refused to give up their lives!

The massive, snow-white rocks tumbling from the mountaintop are this scenic spot's defining characteristic. On that day of the earthquake, how many landscapes were destroyed, and how many more were created? We are forever the smallest specks of dust in this universe, drifting away in the vast river of time. All we can do is, like this scenic spot, make the most of our existing resources, no matter how heartbreaking their arrival.

Wenchuan today is completely different from the Wenchuan of the past. The new city is beautifully built, and the sky is still as blue as ever...

I passed by on the way from Gannan to Chengdu and saw this statue of Dayu. I didn’t go into the ecological zone to see it, but it looked good from the outside.
