In winter, Xiling Snow Mountain also sells night tickets for 98 yuan per person, which are valid for the same day. You can only enter the scenic area after the specified time. The amusement projects in Yingxue Square usually end at 17:00.

Xiling Snow Mountain is the place I think is the least worthwhile on this trip. Originally, I thought that my companions had never seen snow, and this is the nearest snow attraction to Chengdu. As a result, I chose the wrong place. Due to the time and weather, the snow on the mountain was basically melted at this time, and most of the entertainment projects on the mountain were closed. There was only a little accumulated snow left, and you could still ski.

We found a tour group online, a one-day tour without shopping, which is worry-free and labor-saving. It is troublesome to go by car, so it is not recommended. It happened to be Women's Day, and women were free of tickets, which was a discount of more than 100 yuan. It took 3 hours to drive from Chengdu city to the foot of Xiling Snow Mountain, and then take a half-hour cable car to the scenic area on the mountain, and then take a 15-minute bus on the mountain to reach the destination. At first glance, there is really nothing to do in the scenic area, but there is a little artificial snow, so you can go skiing.

There are two sections of cableways at Xiling Snow Mountain. The first section is the Yuanyangchi cableway, which takes you to the ski resort on the mountain; the second section is the Riyueping cableway, which takes you to the observation deck at the top of the mountain. Don't think you've reached your destination after getting off the second section of the cableway. You still need to climb for about an hour or two to reach the Yin-Yang boundary. It is best to estimate that it will take no less than 3 hours to go from Riyueping to the Yin-Yang boundary and back.

After arriving by Yuanyangchi Cableway, walk straight out and take the bus. It takes about 10-15 minutes to reach Riyueping Cableway, and then take the Riyueping Cableway to the observation deck. The whole journey takes about an hour. Don't worry about altitude sickness. The altitude of Riyueping is only more than 3,000 meters, so there will be basically no reaction unless you are physically unwell.

The weather in mid-March was already very warm, and the snow had almost melted. We managed to catch the last snow scene on the snow-capped mountains. It was still foggy when we went there in the morning, and as the sun rose higher above the trees it began to "rain" (please bring an umbrella if necessary!). By the time we returned in the afternoon, the snow had almost all melted, and we saw a completely different scene!

March is the off-season. If it weren't for the 38th festival that day and the free admission for women, there might be even fewer tourists. We just took the cable car shuttle bus directly, and it started to drizzle at the foot of the mountain.

On March 9, at around 9:00 am, the sky was clear, and we took the Riyueping cable car to the top of the mountain. The higher we went, the thicker the snow became. When we stepped out of the cable car, we were a little excited to see the snowy scenery. Under the blue sky, the mountains were covered with white snow, which was dazzlingly white. We traveled to Chengdu and Chongqing in late January. We went to Du Fu Thatched Cottage on the first day in Chengdu and took a bus (booked on China-TravelNote) to Xiling Snow Mountain on the second day. It was snowing when we got off the bus. There are skiing and other snow sports. If you want to see the scenery, take the Riyueping cable car to the top to see it, which is pretty good (I will write about it later in the experience of Yin and Yang).

Then let's talk about the fun activities! It is divided into several areas. The 99 yuan package can only be used in the back mountain. Dayi has buses to Xiling Town and Xiling Snow Mountain Back Mountain Ski Resort. You have to experience it in winter. If you go to Xiling Snow Mountain, you have to stay overnight on the mountain! Because at night you can freely play some activities that are charged in the morning, hahaha! There are many choices of hotels on the mountain. If you stay overnight, you can take the bus to go down the mountain the next morning to avoid peak hours, because there are still many people queuing up for the shuttle bus in the evening. The ticket for the back mountain Xiling Snow Mountain Ski Resort (excluding grass skiing, skiing, etc.) is 80 yuan.

If there is no group purchase, you can ask the locals to help buy it, which can save a little money. The most important thing is that you can queue up at Xiling Snow Mountain early the next day. We lived in Chengdu South Station at that time. Although it was an early morning train, when we arrived, the queue was already endless. It was marked at the front for at least two hours. My heart was chilled. And you have to queue up and down the mountain. So staying in Huashuiwan can save at least 2 hours of queuing time. The ski resort is a bit pit, because from the moment you buy the ticket and enter, the time starts. You have to pick up your shoes and locker keys first. You have to find your locker among thousands of lockers, and you have to change your shoes and put your things, which wastes time. But the time to return the shoes starts from the time you hand them over to the staff, which usually takes nearly half an hour. So be sure to hurry up~ The facilities inside are relatively complete, and the food is still the specialty of the scenic spot, expensive and unpalatable.

We didn't feel cold in the cable car, but once we got off, we immediately felt a chill that made us shiver! We put on all the clothes we brought, but we were still cold. Although we had read the guide in advance and knew it would be cold, we thought that it wouldn't be that cold in such hot weather. As it turned out, I was wrong!

The difference between summer and winter is that summer is all green and winter is all white. But with the fresh and cool air, and the fact that it is Monday, there are not many people and it is quiet, it feels good even in summer!

Friends who want to go to the front mountain have to get off at Xiling Snow Mountain Town, and then transfer to the front mountain. We originally planned to climb the front mountain first, but time was a bit tight for us, so we went directly to the back mountain.
