
Xinjiang University, located in the Tianshan District of Urumqi, Xinjiang, is Xinjiang's highest institution of learning. It is a world-class university, a comprehensive national key university, a key university under the National "211 Project," and a key university for the development of the western region. The university's symbol is the Red Lake behind the Xinyuan Market. The lake is particularly beautiful in the summer, surrounded by lush trees. In the center of the lake stands an artificial island with a pavilion. The campus is home to students and teachers from all ethnic groups in Xinjiang, imbued with both ethnic and exotic charm.
