where can i find the light house shown in storm of the century..?its like it dont exist..its not portland head light either..those rounded washed rocks from the movie are very intricate. anyone got an adress?
The lighthouse you're referring to in the movie *Storm of the Century* is most likely not a real lighthouse, but rather a set built for the film. While the location in the movie may look like it’s based on a real lighthouse, the intricate, rounded, washed rocks and the dramatic setting suggest a combination of natural landscape and movie magic.
However, the filmmakers did use real Maine lighthouses for some of the scenes, and there are a few well-known lighthouses along the Maine coast that could resemble what you saw in the film. Some of these are located on Mount Desert Island, close to Southwest Harbor and Acadia National Park.
While the specific lighthouse from *Storm of the Century* is fictional, the locations listed above are popular spots where you can find real lighthouses with similar scenic landscapes. If you’re interested in the dramatic, rocky coastlines seen in the film, Bass Harbor Head Light is likely your best bet.
To visit any of these lighthouses, be sure to check their accessibility ahead of time, as some may have restricted access or seasonal hours. The area surrounding Acadia National Park offers plenty of opportunities for scenic walks, photography, and exploration of Maine's iconic rocky coastlines.
