Does Logan Express ever really fill up in Framingham?

Hi -

Bought a ticket to park in Framingham for a trip to Logan Airport despite warnings on their website to get a ride from a friend -- "parking maybe full." It's making me anxious!

Anyone ever been turned away? I am going to book a back up at one of the Park and Fly places and lose my $18 prepaid ticket if necessary. Thank you all and happy trails.

The Logan Express Framingham service is a popular option for travelers heading to Logan Airport, especially during peak travel times such as holidays, summer vacation, or major conventions in Boston. While it generally operates smoothly, there are occasional instances when the lot reaches full capacity, which is why the website includes warnings about possible fullness.

Based on reports from frequent users:

  • The lot rarely fills up completely on normal weekdays, especially if you arrive early in the morning or midday. Most travelers have not been turned away during off-peak periods.
  • During high-demand periods—Friday mornings, Sunday evenings, major holiday weeks—the lot can approach capacity, and there have been occasional reports of arriving travelers needing to wait for a spot or use alternative parking.
  • Having a prepaid ticket is helpful, but it does not guarantee a reserved parking spot. It mainly covers the shuttle service and parking payment.

For added security, especially if you are traveling during a busy season, it is wise to have a backup plan. Options include:

  • Booking a spot at nearby Park and Fly or private airport parking lots, which usually have guaranteed reservations.
  • Arriving early in the day to reduce the risk of the lot being full.
  • Considering a ride-sharing service or shuttle from a nearby location as a contingency.

Overall, while it is uncommon to be completely turned away, it is not impossible. Having a backup plan will give peace of mind and ensure you do not miss your flight if the lot is unexpectedly full.
