Rally or Hotel Indigo
Traveling to Denver in May for a concert at Red Rocks. This will be our first time in Denver and we've narrowed the area where we want to stay to LoDo. Specifically we are trying to decide between Hotel Indigo and Rally hotel. Any thoughts from people whoau be available with both of them? Is Rally worth the extra cost? Thanks in advance!
Both Hotel Indigo and Rally Hotel are excellent choices in the LoDo (Lower Downtown) area of Denver, offering easy access to restaurants, bars, and nightlife, as well as proximity to Union Station. Since you’re attending a concert at Red Rocks in May, staying in LoDo gives you a lively, walkable neighborhood experience while keeping you relatively close to major transit routes.
Here’s a detailed comparison based on typical guest experiences and amenities:
- Hotel Indigo: This boutique hotel has a trendy, modern vibe with stylish rooms and attentive service. Rooms are usually comfortable with standard amenities like coffee makers, mini-fridges, and good Wi-Fi. Guests often praise the design and the walkable neighborhood.
- Rally Hotel: Rally Hotel is newer and positioned as a more upscale option. It often offers more contemporary, spacious rooms, sometimes with higher-end features such as better in-room tech, upgraded bathrooms, and some suites with city views. Guests note that the lobby and common spaces have a lively, energetic atmosphere.
Other considerations when deciding between the two:
- Price: Rally Hotel tends to be more expensive than Hotel Indigo, especially on weekends or event-heavy dates. Evaluate whether the extra cost aligns with the features and style you prefer.
- Location: Both hotels are in LoDo, within walking distance to many restaurants, bars, and Union Station. For public transit to Red Rocks or shuttle services, check the hotel concierge; either can help arrange transportation.
- Parking: Both properties offer parking, but rates and availability can vary, so check in advance if you plan to rent a car.
- Atmosphere: Rally Hotel often has a more modern, energetic vibe suitable for younger or lively crowds, whereas Hotel Indigo offers a more relaxed boutique experience.
Summary advice:
- If budget is a priority and you want a comfortable, stylish boutique hotel in LoDo, Hotel Indigo is a solid choice.
- If you value newer, more upscale accommodations with a lively, contemporary atmosphere and don’t mind paying extra, Rally Hotel may be worth the cost.
Either hotel will position you well for exploring LoDo and accessing transportation to Red Rocks. Your decision primarily comes down to whether you prioritize budget versus newer/upscale amenities and a livelier hotel environment.
