I’m just now starting to see stories about how unsafe the gas stations are near OAK. Is it even safe to drive to the airport along hegenberger? Are the crimes happening to motorists while driving or just while they are parked? I’m coming up in may, picking up a rental car and driving to the north bay and flying back the next evening. I’m a single woman and will be my own and reading all the news stories and posts has got me nervous. I used to fly in and out of Oakland all the time and know the area, so I know how far the drive is from OAK to the freeway
