Hello all,

I along with my family will land at Boston terminal E from Dubai(Emirates) and then have a connecting Air Canada flight to Canada from Boston terminal B, I have the same ticket for whole journey issues by Emirates, We will have 6 luggage, Is there any luggage drop off counter on terminal E for Air Canada, so we can drop all and then we can take bus or walk towards to terminal B for Air Canada,

Thanks in advance

When connecting at Boston Logan Airport from Terminal E (where Emirates lands) to Terminal B (for Air Canada), it’s important to know how your luggage will be handled, especially since you have six pieces and are on the same ticket issued by Emirates.

Since your entire journey is on the same ticket, your checked luggage is typically checked through to your final destination. This means you should not need to collect your bags at Boston and re-check them for your Air Canada flight. Emirates should tag your luggage to Canada at the time of check-in in Dubai.

Here’s what you should expect and options to consider:

  • Luggage drop-off: There isn’t a dedicated Air Canada luggage drop counter at Terminal E. Since your flights are on the same ticket, your checked bags will be transferred automatically to Air Canada, and you don’t need to drop them off separately.
  • Customs and immigration: If your Air Canada flight is international (e.g., to Canada), you may still go through U.S. customs and immigration at Boston. Usually, arriving passengers from international flights must clear customs before connecting, but if you are in a through-ticket situation, follow the signs for international connections—Emirates staff can advise during check-in.
  • Transfer to Terminal B: To get from Terminal E to B, you have a few options:
  • Use the free Massport Shuttle bus that connects all Logan terminals. Buses run frequently and are equipped for passengers with luggage.
  • Walking is possible via the pedestrian skybridges and corridors inside the airport; it takes around 10–15 minutes depending on luggage and walking speed.
  • If you prefer convenience, airport taxis or ride-share options are available outside the terminals, but this is usually unnecessary for a simple terminal transfer.

Some additional tips:

  • Check with Emirates at the time of your Dubai departure to confirm that all six bags are tagged to your final destination in Canada.
  • Keep your boarding passes for both flights handy, as Air Canada staff at Terminal B may need to verify your boarding passes for your connecting flight.
  • Allow plenty of time for the terminal transfer, especially if customs and security checks are involved.

In summary, you do not need to manually drop off your luggage at Terminal E for Air Canada if your flights are on the same ticket. Your main concern is moving between terminals and clearing any required immigration/security checks before boarding your connecting flight.
