Looking for a family vacation location in GA.

Question

I am looking to book a 4-6 day trip somewhere in GA. Can't be northern GA as that would be too far for some to travel (new baby that will only be a few weeks old). We will be traveling from Kentucky, Florida and GA. Needs to be safe, family friendly with things to do with kids. Will have newborn to age 14. What cities do you recommend I research that are further south than Atlanta? Thank you.
