Hey all,
I saw on Amtrak website that there's Amtrack Parcel check at $10/bag. It doesn't state the exact location, and operating hours though? Would anybody here know? thanks much!
The Amtrak Parcel Check at Boston South Station allows passengers to check luggage and parcels for a fee, typically $10 per bag. It’s designed for travelers who want to store items for a few hours before or after their train ride, which can be helpful if you have an early arrival or late departure.
Location: The parcel check is located inside South Station, usually near the main Amtrak ticketing area. South Station is a large facility, so once inside, look for signage for “Baggage” or “Parcel Check.” Staff at the Amtrak ticket counter can direct you precisely to the window or office handling parcels.
Operating Hours: While the official Amtrak website may not list exact hours, based on typical South Station operations, the Amtrak Baggage/Parcel Check is generally open during standard station hours, often around 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily. Hours can vary depending on train schedules, so it’s best to call South Station or the Amtrak customer service line ahead of time to confirm availability, especially if you plan to check bags outside of typical commuting hours.
Tips:
For the most accurate and up-to-date information, you can contact Amtrak South Station directly or check with their customer service, particularly if your travel falls on a holiday or early morning/late evening, when operating hours may differ.
