Since not many reviews can be found online, thought I would post about our experience.
We rented a week through escapetoblueridge rental company. Booked Yellowstone lodge, which is advertised as new.
The cabin does have a fantastic view, stocked enough and plenty of room inside and out. Now for the bad! Not super clean, hot tub only gets to 95( this stay was not in winter), ripped towels in primary bathroom, one full bath completely clogged sink (never fixed). Had workman come one morning with no heads up,
No hot water first 3 days, no help from rental office. Finally on day 4 when other homes on same well left we suddenly had hot water. Final day and check out absolutely NO water at all. Again no help from rental agency. There is a definite issue with 3 homes that share the well. I would never book with this company and do not rent any of the 3 cabins on shared well.
Thank you for sharing your experience. It sounds like your stay at the Yellowstone Lodge cabin was not as pleasant as expected, and it's important to provide honest feedback for others looking to book in the area. Here’s a more detailed summary of your experience:
Positive Aspects:
It’s good to hear that the cabin had a fantastic view, enough space, and was stocked adequately. These are important factors when booking a cabin rental, especially for longer stays. The roominess and outdoor space are definitely attractive features for groups or families.
Issues with Cleanliness and Maintenance:
Water Issues:
Final Thoughts:
Based on your experience, it seems like the rental company, Escape to Blue Ridge, failed to address critical issues during your stay, particularly those related to water and maintenance. This is especially concerning when renting through a company that advertises "new" properties. It’s clear that other guests should be cautious about booking any cabins that share a well, especially without full transparency from the rental agency regarding potential water or plumbing issues.
If you’re looking for suggestions for others booking cabins in the Blue Ridge area, it’s important to ensure that the rental agency provides clear communication, has a good track record for maintenance, and offers assistance when things go wrong. Additionally, if cabins share resources like wells, guests should be made aware in advance of any potential problems.
Thank you for sharing your feedback to help others make more informed decisions when booking cabins in the Blue Ridge area.
