Custom Trip plan

Can anyone please give me a list of places to visit in the following sequence of states.

Arizona-Utah-Nevada-California

I am planning to visit for a 2 week vacation. Please suggest places we cannot miss and top destinations.

For a 2-week vacation covering Arizona, Utah, Nevada, and California, you can plan a mix of natural wonders, scenic drives, and iconic cities. Below is a suggested list of must-see destinations and top spots in sequence by state.

Arizona:

  • Grand Canyon National Park (South Rim) – iconic viewpoints like Mather Point, Yavapai Point, and short Rim Trail hikes.
  • Sedona – red rock formations, Chapel of the Holy Cross, Bell Rock, and optional mild hikes.
  • Antelope Canyon & Horseshoe Bend (Page area) – famous slot canyon tours and scenic overlooks.
  • Petrified Forest & Painted Desert (Holbrook area) – unique geological formations and colorful desert landscapes.
  • Monument Valley (if extending north) – Navajo Tribal Park and scenic drives with iconic mesas.

Utah:

  • Zion National Park – short, scenic hikes like Angels Landing (partial), Riverside Walk, and Canyon Overlook Trail.
  • Bryce Canyon National Park – hoodoo formations, easy trails like Navajo Loop or Queen’s Garden.
  • Arches National Park (Moab) – Delicate Arch, Landscape Arch, and Windows Section for short hikes.
  • Canyonlands National Park (Island in the Sky) – Mesa Arch sunrise and scenic overlooks.

Nevada:

  • Las Vegas – explore the Strip, iconic hotels, shows, and restaurants.
  • Hoover Dam – classic engineering marvel with tours available.
  • Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area (near Las Vegas) – scenic drive and short trails.

California:

  • Death Valley National Park – unique desert landscapes, Badwater Basin, Zabriskie Point, and sand dunes.
  • Yosemite National Park – if timing allows, visit Yosemite Valley, Tunnel View, and Bridalveil Fall.
  • Los Angeles – Hollywood, Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach, and downtown attractions.
  • San Francisco – Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Fisherman’s Wharf, and Painted Ladies.
  • Optional Pacific Coast Highway drive – scenic coastal views from Big Sur to Santa Barbara.

For a 2-week trip, I suggest allocating approximately:

  • 3–4 days in Arizona (Grand Canyon, Sedona, Page)
  • 3–4 days in Utah (Zion, Bryce, Arches/Canyonlands)
  • 2–3 days in Nevada (Las Vegas and surrounding attractions)
  • 4–5 days in California (mix of national parks and cities depending on interests)

This route balances iconic natural landmarks with city stops and manageable driving distances, giving you a comprehensive Southwest and West Coast experience without feeling rushed.
