Day pass for Pools/Beach access

We are traveling in Sept with teen girls. Going to a concert on Sat night so we are staying Fri-Mon to make a weekend out of it.

Still tryin to figure out where we will stay. But, if we don't stay on the beach, we will probably do a beach day. Do any of the resorts offer day passes that would allow us to use the pools, beach access with chairs or cabanas?

Anyone have suggestions for teen girls? Suggestions for lodging? Again, don't know if we will just stay on the beach and do beachy things, or stay away from the beach and just do one beach day.

St. Pete Beach has a variety of resorts and hotels that offer beach and pool day passes, which can be a great option if you’re not staying directly on the beach or just want to enjoy a beach day without changing hotels. September is less crowded than peak summer, which can make day passes easier to obtain.

Some resorts and options to consider for teen-friendly pools, beach access, and cabanas include:

  • Postcard Inn on the Beach – Offers a lively, fun environment with beach access, pools, and some cabanas. They occasionally allow non-guests to purchase day passes; check availability in advance.
  • Tradewinds Island Grand Resort – Located a bit north on St. Pete Beach, Tradewinds is large, family-friendly, and has multiple pools including a lazy river. They offer day passes for access to pools and beach amenities, and this can be a fun environment for teen girls with water activities.
  • Sirata Beach Resort – Centrally located on St. Pete Beach, this resort offers both pool and beach day pass options. Teen-friendly pools and close proximity to restaurants make it convenient for a short stay.
  • Bilmar Beach Resort – Offers beachfront and pool access; inquire about day passes. They have a relaxed, tropical vibe that can appeal to teens.

Additional lodging tips and teen-friendly ideas:

  • If you’re going to a concert on Saturday night, staying near the beach can save transportation hassle and allow for a sunset beach stroll or casual pool time in the afternoon.
  • Look for hotels with multiple pools or a poolside bar/snack area—fun for teens to hang out safely during the day.
  • Consider booking in advance if you plan to purchase day passes; some resorts have limited availability for non-guests, especially on weekends.
  • Other activities to keep teens engaged: water sports rentals (paddleboards, kayaks), beach volleyball, and nearby shops or ice cream spots.

Overall, if you’re just doing a one-off beach day, resorts like Tradewinds or Sirata often provide the best combination of amenities, teen-friendly vibes, and easy access to chairs/cabanas for a comfortable day at the beach and pool.
