Hotel ideas
Hello, booking a last minute trip for my son’s 21st and looking for hotel recommendations.
We actually got married there 22 years me stayed at the Venetian but that was a lifetime ago :)
Anyway I would prefer a suite type hotel but the budget is quite tight. So far I’ve found the desert rose, platinum and mgm signature . Desert rose is my favourite as it’s cheap and gets good reviews but looks a bit basic.Mrs is more leaning towards the platinum.
?
Has anyone got any other recommendations?
Cheers
It sounds like you're looking for a nice hotel that can accommodate a bit of luxury while staying within budget for your son's 21st birthday. Considering the hotels you've already found, here's a breakdown and a few additional recommendations that might suit your preferences:
- Desert Rose Resort: This is a solid budget-friendly option with good reviews. It’s quieter than some of the bigger resorts and features suites with kitchenettes, which could be a plus if you're planning on staying for a few days. It’s a bit basic in terms of decor and amenities, but it’s comfortable and close to the Strip, so it’s a good choice for a tight budget.
- The Platinum Hotel: This is a step up in terms of luxury, offering spacious suites with kitchenettes. It's non-gaming, so you won't have the hustle and bustle of the casino right at your doorstep, but it’s still very close to the Strip. The Platinum has a more modern, stylish vibe compared to Desert Rose, and the pool area is a great bonus for relaxing.
- MGM Signature: A fantastic option for those who want a luxury experience on a budget. The Signature offers spacious suites with kitchenettes and a more private, upscale feel, despite being part of the larger MGM property. It’s a little more expensive than Desert Rose but provides more luxury and better amenities overall. It’s also located right near the Strip.
If you’re open to other options, here are a few more budget-friendly hotels that offer a similar suite-style experience:
- Palms Place: An all-suite hotel just off the Strip, with great views of the city and more affordable rates compared to Strip hotels. It offers modern and spacious suites with kitchenettes, and it’s a little more relaxed compared to staying at the big casino resorts.
- The Venetian or Palazzo (Mid-Range): If you want to stay in the same area as your first visit, The Venetian is always a classic. It offers beautiful suites with a higher-end feel. You might be able to find a deal or upgrade to a suite if you're booking last-minute. It’s an iconic Vegas experience that’s worth considering if you’re willing to stretch the budget a bit.
- Vdara Hotel & Spa: A non-casino hotel with a more peaceful, modern feel. Vdara offers studio suites with kitchenettes, and its central location is great for accessing the Strip. It’s a bit quieter, making it a good option if you want something more relaxed but still upscale.
Each of these options offers a good balance of quality, comfort, and value. The Platinum is a great option if your wife is leaning towards something a bit more luxurious, but Desert Rose and MGM Signature are also fantastic choices, depending on your exact budget and preferences. Enjoy your trip and your son’s celebration!
