What to pack?

Coming over next week to see the Eagles (from UK, 4 nights only) It looks pretty warm (or so the weather map says! 18/19c) Is a coat still needed in day/night? That’s t shirt weather to me but I understand the nights can get pretty cold? Just don’t want to overpack as intend to shop so want to have space in my case. Many thanks!

For your trip to Las Vegas next week, it sounds like the weather will be fairly mild, but it's important to be prepared for some temperature variations, especially between day and night.

During the day, temperatures around 18-19°C (64-66°F) are quite comfortable, which is definitely t-shirt weather, especially if you’re out and about or enjoying the sunshine. However, it can feel a bit cooler in the mornings and evenings, especially after the sun sets.

Here’s a packing suggestion to keep you comfortable without overpacking:

  • Daytime:
    • A few t-shirts or lightweight tops – the weather will be warm enough for these during the day.
    • Lightweight, breathable pants or shorts for the daytime walks or sightseeing.
    • Sunglasses and sunscreen – always a must for sunny days in Las Vegas!
  • Evening/Night:
    • A light jacket or sweater – temperatures can drop to around 10-13°C (50-55°F) at night, so it might feel chilly, especially if you’re walking or sitting outside.
    • A scarf or shawl for extra warmth if you’re planning to be outside in the evening, such as on a terrace or patio.
  • Shoes:
    • Comfortable shoes for walking around the Strip or sightseeing. You’ll likely be on your feet a lot!
    • A pair of nicer shoes if you’re planning on going to any fancy restaurants or shows.
  • Extra Items:
    • If you plan to shop, consider leaving some extra space in your luggage for any new clothes, shoes, or souvenirs you pick up while you’re in Vegas.
    • Snacks and a refillable water bottle to keep hydrated while you explore.

Summary: A light jacket or sweater should be sufficient for the evenings, but you won’t need a heavy coat. If you’re planning to shop, pack light and leave some room for all the new items you’ll likely pick up in the many malls and boutiques in Vegas!
