Hey all
(Reposting from the Nevada general forum)
We’ll be flying in from NYC for one night in Vegas, and then heading to the GCNP the next day. ‘We’ is a family with two tweens, so we are really not looking to do very much, just to enjoy being there for a brief visit.
Given our short time frame where would you suggest we stay, or is anywhere on the strip much of a muchness? I would love a great view, and have looked at fountain view rooms at the Cosmopolitan or the Bellagio, or strip view rooms at the Venetian. These are both a little above budget however.
Any suggestions welcome!
If you're only spending one night in Las Vegas with your family and want a relaxing experience without spending too much, there are definitely some great options. Since you’re looking for a nice view but also want to stay within a budget, here are a few suggestions:
1. The Mirage: This is a classic Vegas hotel with a great atmosphere for families. It's a bit more affordable compared to the higher-end options like the Cosmopolitan or Bellagio but still offers a fantastic location on the Strip. You can get a view of the Strip or the volcano (which has a fun show in the evenings). The Mirage has family-friendly amenities, and the location makes it easy to enjoy a brief visit.
2. The Venetian: If you love the idea of the Venetian but are concerned about price, you might find deals for Strip-facing rooms. The Venetian has large, luxurious rooms that are perfect for families, and the resort has a gondola ride that could be fun for your tweens. It’s a great location and has a lot of dining and entertainment options, though it can be pricey. Still, it’s worth checking for deals or special promotions.
3. Paris Las Vegas: A great middle-ground option, Paris offers beautiful rooms with great views, especially if you book a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower. It’s less expensive than the Bellagio or Cosmopolitan but still offers a great experience with its central location and iconic views. Plus, it has family-friendly entertainment and dining options.
4. The Flamingo: If you're looking to save more on your stay, The Flamingo offers good deals with a fantastic location on the Strip. You can get rooms with views of the Strip or the nearby gardens and pools. It’s not as luxurious as the Bellagio or Venetian, but it’s a fun, vibrant place with a nice pool area for families. The price is typically much lower, leaving you with more room in the budget for other activities.
5. Excalibur: If you're looking to save even more, Excalibur is a great budget-friendly option. It’s themed like a medieval castle, which might be fun for your tweens. It’s on the southern end of the Strip but still offers easy access to all the major attractions. You can get a basic Strip view room here for a much lower price compared to other hotels with views.
In general, the Strip is full of great options, and while a fountain view or a room with a prime location can be pricey, there are many other hotels that offer a great Vegas experience without breaking the bank. For your short visit, I’d recommend looking for deals or last-minute offers, as you may be able to secure a discount on rooms that offer nice views without going over your budget.
Since you're only in town for one night, I’d also recommend making sure you take advantage of the amenities at the hotel you choose. Whether it's a fun family pool, a quick visit to a Vegas show, or just walking along the Strip, you’ll want to enjoy the experience as much as possible without stressing over logistics.
