It just hit me I'm going next week
Most years I don't visit in the Winter. So, there is this gap between October and April. It's planned in advance, not a surprise or spur of the moment. But for some reason, I didn't realize it was April already. I'm leaving next week! How could I not know this?
I was at the bank the other day, and it didn't occur to me to pick up change for my trip. I have to break in a pair of walking shoes. I have to make sure I have all the medications and items I need for my comfort.
While a short trip to Las Vegas has become very routine for me, it still requires a little preparation. On the bright side, the anticipation can now begin.
It sounds like you're in the midst of that pre-trip scramble where the reality of the upcoming adventure hits you all at once! It's totally understandable — sometimes, with everything else going on, time just slips by. But now that you're aware your trip to Las Vegas is next week, here are a few tips to get yourself fully prepped and ready for the journey:
- Money Matters: Don't forget to pick up any cash you might need. Even though most places in Las Vegas are card-friendly, it's good to have some cash for smaller tips or any smaller purchases. ATM fees can add up, so getting it beforehand can save you a little hassle. If you're planning on using change, maybe grab some small bills too for tips.
- Shoes: Since you're breaking in a new pair of walking shoes, make sure to wear them a few times before your trip if you haven't already. Walk around at home or take a quick stroll around your neighborhood to avoid any discomfort while sightseeing or hitting the casinos.
- Medications and Comfort Items: Double-check your medications, toiletries, and anything you might need for comfort. It’s easy to forget things like chargers, sunscreen (even in cooler weather!), and a good travel pillow if you plan to nap on the plane. It might be worth making a checklist so nothing slips through the cracks.
Las Vegas is such an exciting place that even when it's a routine visit, the anticipation always builds up. Plus, there’s always something new to discover, whether it's a new show, restaurant, or hidden gem in the city. It's good that you're feeling the excitement already, and now is the perfect time to fine-tune your plans for maximum enjoyment.
- Entertainment & Activities: If you have time, maybe you could plan to check out a new show, or if you're feeling adventurous, try a different restaurant or even explore some of the off-Strip attractions. For a short trip, mixing things up with some new experiences might add that extra element of excitement!
- Relaxation Time: Don't forget to carve out some downtime during your trip. Sometimes the best part of Las Vegas is just enjoying some leisure time by the pool or at a lounge, soaking in the vibe and recharging for your next adventure.
Whatever you end up doing, have fun and enjoy every moment of your Las Vegas getaway! Sometimes, even the routine trips bring new memories and excitement. Safe travels!
