Gun range recommendations
A group of three of us will be in Vegas and one friend really wants to go to a gun range and shoot weapons we cannot shoot in our home country. I saw on line that Battlefield Vegas gets good reviews. Any other tips for not breaking the bank and having some fun at the range? Our firearm experience level in the group ranges from zero to long serving military member, if that helps. Coupons, recommendations, all welcome as I looked at the price and wow! Thx.
Las Vegas offers a variety of gun ranges catering to both novices and experienced shooters, so you and your friends should have no problem finding something that fits your needs and budget. Battlefield Vegas is highly recommended and definitely offers a great experience, but if you're looking for more options, here are some others to consider, with varying prices and experiences:
- Battlefield Vegas - This is one of the most popular gun ranges in Las Vegas, offering a wide selection of military-grade firearms, including machine guns, and even tanks! They provide an immersive experience with an experienced staff, but as you mentioned, prices can be on the higher side. They do offer packages that can help keep costs more manageable, especially if you book in advance. If you’re looking for something unique, they have packages that include shooting tanks or other vehicles.
- The Range 702 - Another great option for gun enthusiasts, this range has a large selection of firearms to choose from, and they cater to all skill levels. They offer a variety of packages, ranging from budget-friendly options to more advanced setups. Their customer service is excellent, and they have great packages for beginners, so you can try different types of firearms without feeling overwhelmed. It’s also centrally located, making it easy to access.
- Machine Guns Vegas - A great spot for those looking to experience fully automatic firearms. They offer a variety of packages, some of which are quite affordable, especially if you choose a “starter” package. They also have great reviews for customer service, and they cater to all levels of experience. If you're trying to get a fun experience at a good price, this might be a good option.
- Top Shot Las Vegas - This range offers a range of shooting experiences and specializes in fun, competitive shooting events. Top Shot offers some of the best pricing for gun rentals, and they have plenty of options for beginners and more experienced shooters. If you want to challenge each other with targets and have a bit of fun competition, this could be a great option.
- VIP Gun Range - VIP is a lesser-known option, but it is also a highly rated range in the area. They offer a variety of firearms, including handguns, rifles, and machine guns. They also offer some good deals, so it’s worth checking out their packages. They are known for their affordable pricing, and you’ll still get a solid experience with knowledgeable staff to help guide you.
Here are a few tips to make sure you get the best deal for your group:
- Look for Discounts - Many gun ranges offer online discounts, special deals, or even group rates, so be sure to check out their websites for coupons or packages. Some offer discounts for booking in advance, or if you’re staying at a hotel, you may find deals through concierge services.
- Package Deals - Consider going for a package deal rather than paying per gun or session. Many ranges offer packages that include several guns or sessions, which can be more cost-effective than paying for each individual item. This is especially useful if you want to try a variety of guns.
- Military Discounts - Since you have a military member in your group, some ranges offer military discounts. Be sure to ask when booking or upon arrival if they have any special rates for military personnel.
- Book Early - If you can, try to book your time at the range in advance. This will not only help you lock in the best rates, but it may also help you secure a spot at the more popular ranges during busy times.
Overall, shooting in Las Vegas is a fun and unique experience, and many ranges cater to all experience levels. Whether you're looking to try something new, like shooting a machine gun, or you just want to hit some targets with a handgun, there’s something for everyone. Enjoy your time at the range!
