Hi!
My mom (82) and I will be staying at Fountainbleau in late May. I was thinking of getting tickets to a 5:30 Elvis show on a Tuesday at the Westgate. The hotels look really close together, but I know how Vegas is! Do you think this is a safe walk and doable? My mom is VERY active, by the way.
Hi there! It's wonderful to hear that you and your mom are planning a trip to Las Vegas. The walk from the Fountainbleau to the Westgate is actually quite manageable, but there are a few things to keep in mind to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
The distance between the two hotels is around 1 mile (about a 15-20 minute walk), which is generally fine for someone who is very active like your mom. The area between these hotels is pretty much along the main Las Vegas Strip, so it’s busy with plenty of foot traffic, which makes it a generally safe environment. That said, here are a few things to consider:
Since your mom is very active, I think you both can enjoy the walk, especially if you take breaks along the way to enjoy the sights or stop in a café. Las Vegas is designed to be pedestrian-friendly, so as long as you’re prepared and take your time, it should be a fun outing! If you’re still unsure about the walk, you can also ask the hotel staff for their input when you check in, and they may provide additional advice based on current conditions or offer suggestions for safe walking routes.
Enjoy your time in Vegas, and have a fantastic time at the Elvis show!
