Sea Breeze International seabim.com

Hello

Has anyone had an experience renting a vacation home from Sea Breeze International with a website called seabim.com? We are looking to rent a house for 7 nights next summer. They don't accept credit cards, so I have to wire the money to them before they release the keys, etc.

Any information would be helpful.

Thanks

Sea Breeze International, which uses the website seabim.com, is a vacation rental company operating in the Cape Coral and Fort Myers area. However, information and reviews about them are quite limited online, and there are some important considerations to keep in mind if you’re thinking of booking a property through them.

One major point to note is that they do not accept credit cards and instead require a direct wire transfer for payment. This can be risky, especially if there is little to no independent verification of the company’s reputation or past guest experiences. Wire transfers are difficult to reverse, and there have been reports online of vacation rental scams targeting similar arrangements, so extra caution is warranted.

Based on the experiences of travelers who have used similar small, off-site vacation rental companies, here are some tips:

  • Confirm the legitimacy of the company by checking business registration, reviews, and any listing on trusted rental platforms.
  • Ask for a formal rental agreement that includes property details, check-in/check-out procedures, and cancellation policies.
  • Try to get references from past renters, if possible, or check social media groups or forums for any feedback.
  • Be cautious about wiring money directly; if possible, consider using a third-party escrow service or payment method that offers some form of protection.
  • Verify the property address and confirm it exists before sending any payment.

In summary, while some guests may have successfully rented homes through Sea Breeze International, the lack of credit card acceptance and limited online reputation makes it a higher-risk option. Many travelers prefer to use larger vacation rental companies or platforms like Airbnb, Vrbo, or reputable local property management firms that provide stronger consumer protections and verified reviews.

Extra caution is recommended, and if you decide to proceed, take all possible steps to verify the property, the company, and the transaction process before sending any funds.
