Hi All - Curious if anyone knows if you can see the air show from LBTS? It looks like blocked off safety water zone ends just south of LBTS. Typically here in Chicago that zone means there is a good chance to see some good views of the jets. Thoughts?
The Fort Lauderdale Air Show typically takes place along the coastline, and Lauderdale-By-The-Sea (LBTS) is in a good position to catch some of the action, especially if you’re near the water. The safety zone for the air show usually extends along the beach south of LBTS, meaning you should be able to see some of the jets flying by, though you might be a little farther from the central viewing area where the stunts and maneuvers are often most dramatic.
From LBTS, you’ll likely get a great view of the jets flying over the water and can enjoy a more relaxed, less crowded environment compared to spots closer to the event's epicenter in Fort Lauderdale. Since the air show’s flight path often stretches along the coastline, you can expect to see some of the formations and solo performances as the jets fly overhead.
Overall, LBTS should offer some good views of the air show, especially for those who enjoy a less crowded experience while still getting to enjoy the excitement of the jets. Just keep in mind that for the most intense views and performances, you might need to head a little farther south to the main Fort Lauderdale Beach area.
