I'm trying to help a potential groom from out of town find a lovely place to propose after his partner runs the Boston Marathon. I know, why make it more complicated? Answer: because family will be together then. He doesn't want to propose right after the race, in case his partner is cold/cranky/otherwise occupied. We are staying in Waltham. The nearby deCordova Sculpture Park has the most perfect heart sculpture, but looks like it will be closed. These young people love nature, gardens, and wildlife. The groom, who is from out of the country, has a charming admiration for Revolutionary War figures. Maybe a place with a sunset view, weather permitting? We would appreciate any and all ideas.
