New Orleans school cooking

This is a long-shot but wanted to see if there’s any Canadians specifically in Ontario that go to New Orleans often?

My spouse and I went for our anniversary to New Orleans and absolutely loved their classes and Joe stuff spices. We cook with it all the time.

It’s ridiculously costly to have it shipped from Amazon and wanted to see if anyone knows of a place that you can get it here or could pick it up for us,

It's great to hear that you enjoyed your cooking classes in New Orleans and that you're a fan of Joe's Stuff spices! While it can be tricky to find specific New Orleans-based products in Ontario, there are a few options you can explore for sourcing those spices without the high shipping costs from Amazon.

Here are some suggestions to help you track down Joe's Stuff spices and similar items in Ontario or nearby:

  • Local Specialty Stores: Look for gourmet or specialty food stores in larger cities like Toronto or Ottawa. These stores often carry unique spices, sauces, and blends from around the world, including products from New Orleans. You could call ahead to see if they stock Joe's Stuff spices or similar Cajun/Creole spices.
  • Online Canadian Retailers: Check Canadian online food retailers such as Well.ca, Spice Station, or Blends of Ontario. They may carry Joe's Stuff or similar Creole and Cajun spice brands.
  • Cross-border Shopping: If you're close to the US-Canada border, you might consider cross-border shopping. Many Canadians near the border take advantage of trips to the US to pick up items that are hard to find locally. You could explore shipping to a US address and then cross the border to pick it up.
  • Specialty Markets: Check out local stores or markets that specialize in Southern or New Orleans-inspired food. Some of these might carry spices from the region, or they may be able to place special orders for you.

If you're unable to find Joe's Stuff spices in Ontario, consider looking for similar Creole or Cajun spice blends like Zatarain's, Tony Chachere's, or Slap Ya Mama, which are often more widely available in stores across Canada.

Alternatively, you could reach out to Joe's Stuff directly to ask if they have any Canadian distributors or suggestions for where to find their products in Ontario. It's possible they can provide some leads on stores or online vendors that carry their brand in Canada.

Good luck, and hopefully, you'll be able to enjoy cooking with Joe's Stuff spices again soon!
