Luggage storage

We’re arriving Logan on a Delta flight in the early afternoon. Next flight is Icelandair at 11:30pm. We have to collect our luggage, so wondering if there is any luggage storage at Logan, so we can go off and explore for 5-6 hours? If not, any suggestions? Thx!

It's great that you're planning to explore Boston during your layover! Unfortunately, Logan Airport doesn't offer luggage storage directly, so you'll need to look for alternatives. Fortunately, there are several services nearby that can help you store your luggage while you enjoy the city.

Here are a few options for luggage storage near Logan Airport:

  • LuggageHero: This service partners with local businesses (cafes, shops, etc.) to offer luggage storage. You can book online, and there are several locations in Boston, including near the airport. They charge by the hour or day, and you can easily pick up your bags when you return.
  • Vertoe: Vertoe offers short-term luggage storage in Boston at various locations, including near popular tourist spots. You can reserve your storage spot online, and they also offer reasonable rates for a few hours or a full day.
  • Bagbnb: Another popular luggage storage service, Bagbnb works similarly to LuggageHero, offering storage at local businesses. You can book your space in advance, and it's often cheaper than hotel luggage storage.
  • Airport Hotel Luggage Storage: Some hotels near Logan may allow you to store your luggage for a fee even if you’re not staying there. The Hilton Garden Inn and the Hyatt Boston Harbor are two such options nearby. You can call ahead to ask if this service is available and make arrangements.

If you prefer to stay within the airport vicinity, you might also consider using the airport’s terminal facilities, although there’s no official storage. In this case, you could potentially take your bags to a nearby hotel or public storage service and then head into the city to explore for a few hours. Boston's public transit (the Silver Line) connects Logan Airport to the city center, so it’s easy to get around once you're free of your luggage.

Have fun exploring Boston, and enjoy your layover!
