We will be in Escondido and Carlsbad end of June and we are looking for a place to hike. We are in fairly good shape but want trails that are not too difficult. We are also looking for amazing views and trails that we can finish in 2 hours or less.

Batiquitos Lagoon Trail – Flat, easy 2-3 mile round-trip trail along the lagoon. Excellent for birdwatching and scenic coastal wetlands. Perfect for a relaxing walk with minimal effort.
Carlsbad State Beach Coastal Trail – Easy, flat walk along the coast for 1-2 miles. Beautiful ocean views and ideal for sunrise or sunset.
